I have just updated to iOS7, no icon for browser, was using Safari, how do I get it back and can I reverse the upgrade and go back to iOS6?  Thanks to you from the UnTechie

The icon for Safari has probably moved to make room for new apps. Scroll the Home screen to look for it.
    You cannot reverse the upgrade.

Hi, I am suck on the Terms and Conditions screen after the upgrade and have agreed, but I am not progressing further from this sceen after agreeing? What do I need to do?

Have you tried resetting (Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears) and starting the set up again?

  • EBS 11g upgrade and DST patches

    OS: Linux X86
    EBS: 11.5.10.2
    DB upgrade: 10.2.0.4 -> 11.2.0.3
I am trying to figure out the process for updating the DST version. Our current version is 4 and we'd like to go to 17.
I am following the following MOS note trail:
    1) Interoperability Notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0) [ID 881505.1]
    2) --> Complying with Daylight Saving Time (DST) and Time Zone Rule Changes in E-Business Suite 11i [ID 458452.1]
    3) ----> Applying the DSTv17 update for the Oracle Database [ID 1362718.1]
    4) ------> Updating the RDBMS DST version in 11gR2 (11.2.0.1 and up) using DBMS_DST [ID 977512.1]
Regarding the DST DB patches, it seems to me that there is nothing to do "before" the upgrade and that the key steps are in MOS Note 977512.1 sections 3 and 4 and are done "after" the DB upgrade to 11.2.0.3.
But, MOS note 458452.1 says to do the DB DST patches before the Application Tier and EBS DST patches.
So, could I plan the DST patches as follows?
    1) Upgrade the DB to 11.2.0.3 (no DST DB patching done to the 10.2.0.4 DB)
    2) Apply DB DST patches
    3) Apply Application Tier DST patches
    4) Apply EBS DST patches
    Thanks!

  • Help needed in 10gR2 to 11gR2 EBS Database Upgrade

    Hi,
I am upgrading EBS Database from 10gR2 (10.2.0.3) to 11gR2 11.2.0.3. While going through Oracle Note Complete Checklist for Manual Upgrades to 11gR2 [ID 837570.1], under the point 3 of "Recommendations from Source database" it says:
"Disable the custom triggers that would fire before/after DDL and enable them after the upgrade is complete."
I want to know is it compulsory to disable the custom triggers? If yes then how can I get the list of those custom triggers and disable/enable them before and after the database upgrade?
Please let me know the commands. My operating system is Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.8.
    Thanks,
    Abdul

    Hi Srini,
    Thanks for the docs.
    EBS version is R12 (12.0.6) and 10gR2 (10.2.0.3).
Currently I am only upgrading EBS Database from 10gR2 (10.2.0.3) to 11gR2 (11.2.0.3) and want to use it with my current R12 version.
Currently I am following these Oracle notes:
    - Complete Checklist for Manual Upgrades to 11gR2 [ID 837570.1]
    - Interoperability Notes EBS 12.0 and 12.1 with Database 11gR2 [ID 1058763.1]
I hope I am on the right track?
    Regards,
    Abdul

  • Just bought it off here and downloaded, typed in SN and it says its an upgrade and wants the "original SN" too. I don't have an original!

I just downloaded lightroom 5.7 from this website and it put a shortcut on my desktop. I clocked on that and it popped up the try or buy page and i put in the sn they just gave me for buying it and it says its an upgrade sn. it now wants the original sn which i thought i was just buying. what do i do now? why is there not a legit customer service thing to this place?!?!?!

When you buy the upgrade, it is an upgrade from earlier editions of Lightroom.
You have to contact Adobe Customer service and explain what you did and let them help you. No one in this forum can help with this problem.

  • I have updated firefox to version 6.0. The add-on galley does not recognize it and I am unable to upgrade and install most add-ons.

When tying to install new add-ons, a text appears that there is no support for firefox 3.0.7, assuming I am running that version instead of the recent 6.0. The stating mozilla/google webpage has a text saying that firefox is not up to date. After downloading and installing version 6.0, the text continues to appear in the homepage and add-ons are cannot be installed.

  • Packer and package GIT, SVN etc. upgrading and finding

    Hi!
How packer handles (or is it pacman) upgrading git and other packages? I couldn't find answer from AUR or ABS articles with quick look.
Normally packer -Suy --devel would upgrade all packages from git sourcetree. Does this behaviour require AUR or is the PKGBUILD file hidden in my system? Or what is the magic that makes packer to decide let's clone this repo and install a new version? And does packer know anything else than date of compilation? If there isn't any changes does it detect that?
Reason I got curious is that I have one develmachine in the corner with git serving me the sourcecode and few PKGBUILDS I use to upgrade the software. Can packer do this all for me?
Another thing in my mind is how to find packages installed from AUR? Except setting packager in /etc/makepkg.conf?

packer -Syu --devel updates all packages in a normal manner. Additionally all your AUR-Packages containing svn, git, cvs, ... in its name will be downloaded, compiled and reinstalled.
If you want to see all packages installed from AUR (inclding other self-built packages) use pacman -Qm

  • Iphoto library was created with an unrelased version of iphoto please quit and ugrade library by opening it in iphoto 2 or iphoto 4

my iphoto 8.1.2  operating system 10.6.8  can't open iphoto...error message says  IPHOTO LIBRARY WAS CREATED WITH AN UNRELEASED VERSION OF IPHOTO. PLEASE QUIT AND UPGRADE IPHOTO LIBRARY BY OPENING IT IN IPHOTO 2 OR IPHOTO 4?

Restore from your back up is the simple solution.
    Failing that:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

  • I just want to crop my photos! Preview and iPhoto not working since upgrading.

I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite, and since doing so the edit function on Preview is non-selectable and iPhoto won't save any of my edits!? Please help this is an urgent requirement! I'm not interested in upgrading to the new Photos app - I've head terrible things about it.
