OLAP weeks split over months

Hello all
Trying to do a weekly analysis on the resources based on the Portfolio Analysis Olap Cube.
unfortunately, I'm in front of a problem some weeks are split over month which is not giving accurate numbers.
How can I avoid this issue and have 1week by week!

Jerome, I do not know of a workaround for this when you are pulling the data from the OLAP cubes. However, if you use a straight SQL query in Excel, you can retrieve week by week data which is not split by year or month. Please see the answer in a previous

Single Class Split Over multiple non-consecutive Days??

How do I setup in OLM a class split over multiple days for Example:
I have a Diversity Awareness Course and Offering. The Class is 2 days long, but not on consecutive days, they are a week apart.
Do I create a Day1 Class and Day2 class under the same course and make it a prerequisite to attend day 1?
From a reporting point of view this now shows as 2 classes when it is only 1; inflating the class figures.
Or Can I split it into 2 sessions under the same class?
What is the best way to do this?

Hi!
You can create a Class with two Sessions underneath it (one for each day). Make the Start Date for the Class the day the Class begins and set the End Date to correspond to the last day. Your Duration should be set to 2 Days. Learners will be able to view details for each session, and you can assign different instructors and rooms for each day if you use Resource Bookings in OLM.

My left shift key on Macbook Pro Retina (15") is behaving like the F11 key (show/hide open windows).
The left shift key behaves the same on the laptop keyboard and on an external Apple keyboard.
This just started in last week after 6 months of use. The right shift key and other keys on the keyboard all appear to work correctly.
Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a solution to this issue now after a discussion with Apple Support. Some where in the last few weeks, there was a change in the key that would do a Show Desktop under the Mission Control settings in the System Preferences. Even though the key sequence that was shown for the Show Desktop setting did not include the Left SHift key, by changing this first to having no key sequence and applying that and then changing it back to the F11 key, the Left SHift key issue that I was having has cleared up.
A second issue that was uncovered was that the SSD had some issues (uncovered when I ran Disk Utility using the Repair Disk key). I had to restart and use the Disk Utility through the Command R sequence to get to the stand alone Disk Utility. The SSD appears to be running better as a result as well.
Hope that this is of use to someone else in the future.

To run a job on 1st and 2nd week of the month.

I need to schedule a job on 1st full week and 2nd full week of the month. What is the best way to identify the Week and trigger the job? Any input is appreciated.

I agree with the 1st option of Visu - by calendar.
For example, assign the CALENDAR parameter to MNTH-12WK (example only) unless there are predecessors of the job you have created.

Week numbers in Month view

Hi,
How can i add week number in "month view"?
I can see week number in "week view" and i see that this can be fixed with a script. But the scrit under don't work for me!
=INT(([a2]-DATE(YEAR([a2]),1,1)+(TEXT(WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR([a2]),1,1)),"d")))/7)
Any one can help me here?

Hi,
According to your description, you want to display week number in “Month” scope of Calendar View.
Your formula is correct, however it can only apply to the normal list view as a calculated column.
The outcome is as below:
If you need it on the monthly view, I suggest you develop a custom solution for it.

Dear all,
I want to know a number of the week in a month of my transaction.
The table has a field called transaction_date. How to write a sql which will show a number of week (1, 2, 3 or 4) in that very month where the transaction was made.

I don't know if you know about it but there is a forum dedicated to PL / SQL which might be better for this type of question. In any case , browsing the SQL documentation at the moment there is a date time format W which appears to do what you want. There are in fact two week number formats WW and W. One is for week number in the year the other for week number in the month. Hope this helps. Here is a link:

2 weeks and 4 months

Why 2 weeks and 4 months?
Well, in 2 weeks the schools in my area all come back and they will still not be able to use their ipods / ipads through the school networks due to the long standing issue of problems with apps not going through a proxy on a Corporate network. Currently, the ipads which are being used in pathfinding projects are only being used to a fraction of their capability - Apple needs to get this sorted as there are now too many threads from both students and teachers highlighting this limitation. If Apple are looking to promote this into education then they still have a long way to go.
Plus, in 4 months, there will be hundreds of kids and some grown ups too who will wake up to find an ipad in their xmas stocking. They too will join the ever increasing band of disillusioned educators (including me) and pupils who invest both time and effort in this technology only to be let down.
So, is this going to be fixed in ios 5.0? If not, does anyone know when?

Apple listens to feedback sent via the feedback pages. That doesn't mean that they'll act on any given suggestion.
What Apple will do with iOS 5 in regards to proxy, none of us here know or can say. Given that Apple seems to be able to sell every iPad they can make, though, any issues regarding working with proxy servers don't seem to have been a significant barrier to adoption of iPads, so any perception of proxy issues being a major problem may not be echoed by Apple.
As with anything, no product suits all needs. If the iPad doesn't work as necessary in your environment, you'll want to select a different product. Wagering that at some point in the future any given feature you require will appear or issue that you must have will be solved is not a bet I'd care to make if it were me.
Your school district may also wish to revisit how they are using proxies if the current system is blocking use of a significant segment of popular technology. They may also wish to contact their local/area Apple account executive and get an Apple system engineer involved to look for solutions. If the opportunity is significant (and I'd advise that you don't blow smoke up their skirts; Apple AEs are quite acquainted with school districts, opportunities, and who does and does not speak for the district), that's probably the best way to get Apple's attention on the issue.

Giving access to the planners for the 1st 2 weeks of every month to plan

I m implementing a BPC 7 MS rolling forecast planning.
Now the base member of the Time Dimensionis Month.
my requirement is ,
A Planner will be get a alert to at the end of every month to start the process of Monthly planning for the next month.
And the planner will only get 2 weeks of a month to plan the quantity . After that that particular planner will not able to plan any further for that particular month.
In my planning application, the secured dimensions are ENTITY, CATEGORY & PRODUCT and in the Ownership Dimension is used in the PRODUCT DIMENSION, becuase planning process is driven by the Brand.
The same process shoud repeat for all the coming months.
And also is there any way to automate the above process.

For example, your workstatus settings have the following settings:
Entity, Time and Category are the dimensions on which workstatus is checked.
You application is called Planning, so the table where the workstatus is maintained is dbo.tblPlanningLock.
The table has the following columns (I don't know this by heart and have nowhere to check right now, so check on you own system!):
- StatusCode (The code corresponding to the status column in dbo.tblStatusCode)
- Category (The locked category member)
- Entity (The locked entity member)
- Time (The locked time member, for correct syntax check your own system, because i am not sure but I think you should put TimeID here from the membertable)
- TimeName (The locked time member again, but with the memberID from the time dimension. Again you should check this in your own system as I am nog 100% sure about the syntax here and cannot check right now.)
- Lastupdate (the date of the update. For exact syntax again check your own system)
- Updateby (user which updated the workstatus)
What you want to do now is to create a file to load new records into this table. This could for example be a csv file. This file can be imported using the DATAFLOW task in SQL Business Intelligence Development Studio. This csv file should have the following format (or if you want to use another you have to create a mapping to):

Statuscode,Category,Entity,Time,TimeName,Lastupdate,UpdateBy

Customisation of Weeks in a month

Hi Everyone!
I need to define my week as below for a particular month in a fiscal year:
                          Week 1 - 1-9(of the month)
                          Week 2 - 10-17(of the month)
                          Week 3 - 17-24(of the month)
                          Week 4-   24-End of month
Now i would have 48 weeks for my fiscal year     (Number of months)12*4(No. of weeks in a month)
My fiscal year is from May-April.
Also for week "5" It would show in text    Week-1,June 2010
How do i go about it?

Example:
Suppose 2010 Year and Nov means 2010Nov-2009Nov / 2009Nov. Display will be calculated measure value => How to write formula in measure column.

I am trying to find the date for end of the week using given month (201401, 201402...i.e, 2014 is year and 01,02 are months) and week number (01,02,03...) for the year. For example if my month is 201402 and week_number is 06 then it return the week_date
as 2014-02-08. Can you please help me in writing a sql statement for this scenario.

Change the "6" in the with statement to the week of interest and 2014 to the year of interest...

Value increment over Months

My uses would like to copy a number in data forms with a % increment over months.
E.g.
They input 10 USD to January and would like this value to spread over data form months (december). So january is ten, february 11,1 march is 12,1 .......

Hi,
you can always do this by using a Business rule and attaching it to the form with RUN ON SAVE option.so that once user input some value in 1 month and saves it the HBR will execute & the increased value will be displayed for rest of the months.
But i don't think planning web form alone can provide you this functionality
