Old account not allowing me to transfer perchases due to autherising computer

i changed me email address for my apple ID and some of my previous apps and music are under this email when i go to transfer the perchases it wants me to autherise my computer with that old email but it is no longer in use and i cant get the password. some of the perchases are expensive so id rather not loose them. i crashed my computer and have now set up itunes on a new computer with my account that bhave been using for the last tweelve months.

All content bought/downloaded from iTunes is tied to the account that downloaded it and it can't be transferred to a different account - so you will need to authorise your old account on that computer if you want to transfer its purchases over.

I have a new laptop.
I have music on my laptop that I have not purchased through iTunes (ie, uploaded CD's, copied to my laptop from my old computer, etc).
For some reason, iTunes will not allow me to transfer this music to my iPhone. I get the "red circle with the cross through it" symbol when I try to drop it into the iPhone..
Can someone suggest a way that I can oversome this and add my music to my phone from my new computer?
At this stage, I can only add music to it via the old iTunes/old computer that the phone was originally synced to.

When using Migration Assistant to transfer from one Mac to another Mac, as soon as I get to the point where it says to connect the firewire to each computer, it says "You might not be able to transfer using Firewire on this computer". What do I use then?

Since the message says "might not," I don't see any reason not to give it a try. At worst, it will fail and perhaps leave a partially-transferred user account on the G5. If that happens, we can deal with it.
I'd make sure the connections are snug and secure, and try it.

I don't have any backups of the G4 and I don't have an external drive and I don't know anyone who has one.
If your data is important to you, invest in one . . . soon, and start making regular backups. They're not very expensive (some as cheap as $50, good ones perhaps $100). Disk drives fail, especially after a few years, other things go wrong, and even the most careful users make mistakes now and then.

And i do not wish to wipe my phone clean, because there is but one song on this new account. How do i transfer the music on my new account?

Help!! I-tunes will not allow me to transfer purchased songs.

My computer crashed and I lost everything and had to start from square one. I followed the directions from another posting and downloaded the suggested software program for Windows (Tune Jack) that allowed me to transfer everything that was on my Ipod back onto my computer and into my I-tunes library.
Next I added a few new Podcasts and downloaded a few new songs. Then I went to sync my Ipod and it would not transfer the new songs and all my past purchases from the past few months back onto my Ipod and effectively erased them from my Ipod. The message was that they were "not authorized to be played on my computer." However they still remain in my I-tunes library, just not on the Ipod any longer.
How do I get them back on the Ipod like they were before?

try playing one of the songs in iTunes prior to trying to sync them to the iPod.
what most likely happened, is you did not authorize the computer to play stuff from your itunes store account.

Itunes account for sub account not allowed?

I'm trying to open a new itunes account for my daughter who has a sub account from our .Me "Family Pack". So far, I have been denied completing the sign up process. The error message is: "We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later". Does this mean sub accounts in a .Me "Family Pack" can not own individual itunes accounts? Does it mean one itunes account must be shared among all "Family Pack" members? If so, this seems very limiting for itunes business and not a good incentive for buying the .Me Family Pack. Can someone tell me if this is true or how Family Pack sub accounts can open their own itunes account. Thanks

If you want them to have access to songs and videos, even free ones, you will need to provide some sort of payment method to set up the account, if not a credit card than a prepaid iTunes card or gift certificate. Apple uses this as verification of the user's country of residence, something the content owners require of them.
If you only want your users to have access to free songs, you can set them up an account using your credit card, then remove the credit card information from the account. Then they will only be able to download free songs and videos, though if they attempt to purchase something that has a cost, it may allow the purchase, create a balance due, and "clog" up the works until the item is paid for in some way.

ITunes will not allow me to transfer music manually to my iPhone

Since I got my iPhone 4S in March, I have been manually adding music to my phone by connecting the phone, and dragging music to my phone. Recently, I had to reformat my PC and when I reinstalled iTunes, I try to click and drag music but it gives me the small red x while i hover over the iphone in the itunes window.
I don't really know what I should do to try and fix this issue. I have tried to authorizde/deauthorize the computer. In my account on the iTunes store, it says only 1 computer is able to play purchased content or something like that. Can this be resolved other than having to erase the phones content and startng over?

iPod shuffle and iPhone are intended for use with a single computer. You cannot load music from multiple computers or iTunes libraries onto iPod shuffle and iPhone like you can with other devices.
Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software to copy back to your iTunes library. A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:

Why does apple not allow me to transfer software from one apple ID to another.

I did some work for an organization that paid me by purchasing FCPX. They figured that since they were logging into my computer the software would be linked to my account/user logged into the computer at the time.
Since they logged into their APPLE ID in the apple store (For cinfidenciality reasons) the software is now linked to them and not me as intended. I have the software installed on my computer and I am only looking for a onetime fix to move my copy of FCPX from their ID to my ID. I submitted a claim and they spoke with their special interest group and denied my request based on it being considered a "Return" over 60 days. I am not sure how I am going to be able to upgrade the software anymore especially once a major update comes available. I find this system to be ridiculous. I am not trying to pirate software or anything crazy like that. Me and my client want the software to belong to me and it was only ever installed on my computer and will remain my software going forward.

This is the way that Apple iTunes and Mac App Store accounts have always functioned, for over 10 years now. This is a tech support forum, not a place to complain. When you opened your account you agreed not to use the forum to question Apple's product and business decisions. Continuing to rant about what you don't like will only get your posts removed by the forum Hosts and if you persist your account will be closed.
This app unfortunately will never be yours, it will always be a pirated app and you will never be able to update it unless the person who bought it gives you the password to the Apple ID used to buy it.

IPod mini "playlist" error message will not allow me to transfer songs

When I plug my iPod mini into the computer to transfer songs, I get an error message that says that the songs could not be transferred due to non-existent playlists. I deleted my playlists after this message...and I still get the same error message. I have songs in my iTunes library, but now my iPod mini has no songs on it.

Actually, I managed to side-step doing the manual playlist by clicking the first option under the iPod options...I can't remember what it was, but I decided to take a chance and now it is loading all of my songs, one song at a time. Thanks for helping, I was really nervous that I lost all my songs.

Automatic Posting accounts not allowed when G/L Account is entered in LIPS

Dear all,
In order to override the standard G/L account determination when PGI a delivery, we developed a routine to write the G/L account devired by the system and populate LIPS-KONTO with the account we want to post.
This is working perfectly as soon as that G/L account does not have the flag "automatic postings only" is not flagged.
However, is this flag is active, we are not able to PGI.
Do you know if this is the normal SAP behaviour? Any suggestions if we must use that account?

The situation is the following....
Two items in the sales order with two different item categories and same movement type.
This movement type is customized in OMWN with Account Modifier ZVA that is linked to account A.
In case of the first item category this will be ok.
On the second item category the customer wants to keep the same movement type but post into a different account.
During delivery processing we created in a userexit to override the derived Account Modifier to another one that we need and retrieve that account and populate LIPS-KONTO.
Conclusion:
1) If we use the standard account determination, LIPS-KONTO is not filled in and the system considers an automatic posting.
2) If the LIPS-KONTO is filled in with a GL Account that has the "automatic postings only" set, the system apparently is considering this a manual posting.
My question is: Is this the Standard SAP behaviour?

Brilliant old (purchased) CDs on an old iPod - not allowed on iTunes?

interesting, just found my old iPod 60G with couple of brilliant rare old CDs on board, that i thought were gone forever... connected to iTunes to import them and also reestablish the now 'retro' iPod to sync and play on an uber cool 'retro' Bose sound system.. sum result from the import; double checking what i thought were solid settings - Old CDs now really are all gone! What tha guys! Not all of us pirate music but i seem to have lost legendary tunes due to over zealous security... not impressed to the degree of after nearly 15 years keeping up to date with the always 'solid' apple gear and software, i'm close to selling the whole shebang!

Why is opening Multiple eMail Accounts not allowed

If I open a second Yahoo eMail Account I get a message that the first one is being closed because it is no longer being used.
Why is having to accounts open at the same time a problem? What is the reason behind it?
If I open the accounts in different browsers, no problem - so I'm guessing it's an ISP thing?
I understand there are work-arounds such as Multifox (it says for Gmail, I'm assuming also eMail?) but I don't understand what the problem is.

It is due to the way that cookies are handled. Extensions such as [http://br.mozdev.org/multifox/ Multifox] and [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/cookieswap/ CookieSwap] change the handling of cookies to allow you to have different logins active. This is achieved by allowing you to have multiple versions of cookies for the same site, and swapping between them to go to the different logins.
