Old Acrobat 9 Pro Serial No

I bought from you online store Acrobat 9 Pro about Sept 2010, I now have a new compute and need to transfer this software to the new machine. I cannot find the documentation where I purchased it. So do not have a serial no to re install. Is there any way you can look up my old receipt. It is not showing up in My Adobe. Thanks!

Adobe doesn't know what you don't know. If it was never registered nor there is even tiny shred of proof of purchase, I'm afraid you are out of luck. You can always try to explain the situation on the phone and they may find your data in their database, but realyl only if you bought directly from Adobe. Also, if your old machine is still running, you might be able to find out a partial serial by deactivating your install without erasing the serial. The next time you launch the program it wil lask to activate and the serial would show up in teh input field. Based on that, support could talk you through how to produce a verification code and tell you the full serial. Still, don't do anything before you actualyl have talked to them...

Adobe Acrobat Pro serial number will not install or register

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and tried to install it on my computer. I entered the serial number and registered it. However, every time i open the program, it warns me that my 30 day trial will expire in 0 days. I click on "license this software" and enter the serial number again, and register it again. It works for one instance of use, then the insanity begins all over, and the trial expiration message pops up next time i open the program.
I have tried uninstalling the software, then running the adobe cleaning tool, restarting the computer, then installing the software again. This did not solve the problem.
It is nearly impossible to talk to a human being at Adobe customer support.
Can anyone help me?

Can't enter 24-digit Acrobat Pro serial number

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac which has a 24-bit serail number. I had installed and registered it before. I have changed my system and have to reinstall, but the install process only lets me enter 3 digits per field. How can I get around this?

You should contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

I can't read any pdf files even though I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro specifically to get a serial number which I never received, in order to read pdf files. EVERY time I click on a pdf a notice pops-up telling me to enter my serial number. How do I get my serial number?

Did you buy a subscription? If so, there is no serial number. Just make sure you are signed in to Acrobat with the same Adobe ID as you used to buy the subscription.

CS4 suite serial number does not work for Adobe Acrobat Pro

Hello,
I am looking for a solution for the serial number issue I am having with Adobe Acrobat Pro. All of other programs within the suite open fine, but when I open Adobe Acrobat Pro it asks for a serial number. When I type in the serial number, I am given a red "X".
I have called customer support, but they haven't been able to give me any information that will resolve my issue (uninstalled 4 times now). I have Vista and have looked online and on the Adobe website to find a solution. It looks like others are having the same issue from what I can tell while searching. I have run the script too and then reinstalled, but still nothing.

After some stupid upgrade in my computer (who knows as Microsoft is always doing something), my Acrobat 9 in CS4 stopped working. The error message said to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat. So I went through the control panel and uninstalled it. I then loaded the CD and reinstalled. However the reinstall would NOT accept the orginal serial number. I called Adobe and they gave me a different serial number. Before I let the guy nof the line I tried the number and it did NOT work! So then he gave me another number which asked for the previous verison- apparently it was an upgrade number. Luckily I had my old CS3 software and I gave it that number and then it accepted the install. The program now works BUT there is no longer any ADD/REMOVE choice in the CS4 suite in the control panel. There is no way to automatically remove this program anymore! What a mess.
After reading some of the installation problems others have had and no solutions, I count myself lucky! At least I was able to get the program running.
Therefore my advise on the serial number problem is to get Adobe on the phonen and get them to give you a number that will work, and don't hang up until you know the program is working!
If anyone knows how to add the Acrobat to the the add/remove functions in the control panel, please let me know!

On my old laptop I had installed and licensed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. I retired my old laptop and bought a new one. I want to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 now on the new one. But seemingly my serial number is not accepted any more. That's what I did so far
1. Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html
2. Retrieved my serial number from Adobe ID (it matched what I have found out locally on my old computer)
2. Started the installation
3. Entered my serial number when asked for. Then I get a message "Invalid Serial Number"

Finally if you have a volume license for Acrobat 9 Professional then the installation files are only available at https://licensing.adobe.com/. The installation files you downloaded are for the retail version of Acrobat 9 Professional. This may be another cause of you receiving the message that your serial number is invalid.

Adobe acrobat pro 9 keeps telling me "the serial number I entered is not valid"

I recently had my macbook pro logic board fail and had to purchase a new macbook pro (expensive reinvestment after only 3 years but that's another story).
Anyway, all of my cs4 upsell products loaded just fine, except adobe acrobat pro 9 keeps telling me "the serial number I entered is not valid." After contacting adobe thru chat several times, here is the info I got back: my serial number IS valid, I still can activate 3 more times (deactivation was not an issue in this case), the final answer was the cs1 server (my previous version before cs4) is no longer available which basically renders my version of acrobat unusable. Is that really the case? Now that I have a new computer I can't use that software any longer it was working fine on my old laptop? Why did all the other software load okay? Did I miss something or is buying another upgrade neccessary?
ps: using Macbook Pro with MacOS X.8.5

Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver are all working just fine. I haven't needed any other apps yet since the reinstall. Install actually worked fine too for Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 but when I try to open anything in it I get the Software Setup Screen and it wants me to enter the serial number for the product, when I do it says the serial number is invalid. I included a screen shot below with the serial number removed so you can see. In chatting with adobe, my rep said it is a valid number (obviously since it worked fine on my other apps), but the server for CS1 is no longer available and since I have an upsell from CS1 they cannot offer me support and to take my question to the forum board, so here I am.

I`m blocked not able to register my old 6.0 with the serial number on the box at the Adobe central server.

How to find the serial number of your Apple hardware product
Do you have your Snow Leopard installer discs with you? If so, then try this:
Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple
logo appears.
5. Wait for installer to finish loading.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Proceed to reinstall Snow Leopard (do not erase the drive) over your existing OS X system provided it is a Snow Leopard system. If you have upgraded to Lion or later, then you must do something different.

Acrobat Pro asks for serial number after update while being part of CS4 package

Hello, frustrating: I installed CS4 on a new Mac as the old one wasn't fast enough anymore. I deactivated the package (Master collection) on the old one, and activated it on the new one.
Everything works fine. Then there was Adobe updater, updating Acrobat pro. No problem.
But when it launches, it asks for a serial number. And my CS 4 number doesn't work on this. Weird, it seems the Acrobat pro isn't linked to the master collection anymore ? But we did nothing
with the software, just ran the update as suggested by Adobe updater.
PLEASE HELP! as we cannot use Acrobat Pro now and we need to use it!!!

Hi,
I suppose you have installed Creative Cloud Desktop App, or Latest Adobe Application Manager (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773).
You can also try following steps:
Launch the product
On Trial Screen click on License this software
On Sign in Screen, click on “Not My Adobe ID” (if displayed), else click on signin (do this even if it shows a valid ID).
Sign in with your Adobe Id
Software should now be lincensed.
Can you please share your adobeID and mail oobelib.log and amt3.log from %temp% on Windows, or /tmp in Mac, if it is still not working to [email protected]
