Old birthdays are not in Calender

I have a contact with birthday 4 July 1920 and this birthday is not shown in the calender.

Just tested this iOS 4.0.1 and still not fixed.
The magic date if anyone wants to know is 13th Dec 1932. Any birthday after this date is ok, prior to and including 13th appear as 13th Dec. Not visible in List mode, only Day or Month view in Calendar.
Reported in June and again today. Don't hold your breath as I reported an issue with 31st July from Outlook to MobileMe in July 2008 and that is still not fixed.
Apple cannot deal with dates properly!

Songs in music library downloaded from a CD and synced to my old IPOD are not recognized by my new IPOD classic.  What is the fix?

If you are using automatic syncing with your old iPod, select that iPod in iTunes and go to its Music tab (next to Summary).  Note how this Music tab is set up.  Maybe you can do a screen shot.
Now, select the new iPod in iTunes.  Go to its Music tab, like you did for the old iPod.  Set up the new iPod's Music tab exactly like the old iPod, and Apply the change.
The music on your new iPod should now match the old iPod.

  • HT2486 birthday are not saving in my contacts? What am I doing wrong.  I always have put in birthday before with no problems

Birthday are not saving in some of my contacts? What am I doing wrong.  I always have put in birthday before with no problems.  Some contacts it works and others do not?  help me.

    Arnis and Jeff,
Thank you both very much for your assistance.  I was able to figure out why the Adobe Application Manager kept failing on installing the patches.  Idiot me didn't unzip them first.  Once I unzipped the patch files, the installer worked fine.  Both patches are now successfully installed; my FM version is now 12.0.2..
To answer some of your questions:
Yes, I have administrator privileges on my PC.
Yes, I had all of the files in the book opened when I generated and/or updated the LOR file.  So that was not the issue.
With the patches installed, I opened a book and all of its files.  I updated the LOR and all works fine – it gives me all of the Imported Graphic references. So there must have been an issue with that release of FM12 (12.0.0.329), which was fixed with the patches.
Again, thank you both for your help!
    Best regards,
    Beverly

  • Old Bookmarks are not compatible with Firefox version 20+

    Background Information:
I use the old client version 3.6 as there's an old utility addon that the author stopped updating and will not work with the newer revisions. Despite disabling the update feature both in about:config and in preferences, the browser still eventually updates (Originally I was using 3.4, and would prefer to use that, but no matter how much I try I can no longer roll it back from 3.6 to 3.4 even if I reinstall using a 3.4 installer). As a result I've had a habit of keeping a copy of my firefox directory in case it updates itself again without asking, which it has. This might help you guys out in answering the countless people who have lost their bookmarks due to the upgrades released this year, and will hopefully someone to investigate and release a patch/utility to fix the issue.
    Issue:
I have verified that the newest clients from at least version 20 and onwards, are not compatible with the older bookmark JSON files. People who have been upgraded to the latest revision not only lose their bookmarks, but CANNOT restore them either, as Firefox will only return the error message: "Unable to Process the Backup File".
I have confirmed that the files themselves are perfectly intact with no sign of corruption, and are as intended. They restore ok to older browser revisions (In my case specifically 3.6), but will not restore to the newer client revisions. This is not a fault with the bookmark backups, but with the newer clients (I'm guessing they changed the way they store the information in the JSONs at some point. I note in the code for the JSONs that GUID was never used in the older revisions, but it is in the newer revisions. Perhaps this is causing an incompatibility issue? You just need to adjust the client so that it looks for the GUID and if none can be found to ignore it rather than decide the file is corrupt.

    Solution?
Well in my case I had a backup copy of the old revision directory. To restore I opened the copy, and exported the bookmarks as an HTML, which I restored in the newer client. If you do not have a copy of the old client, the best thing would be to try and reinstall an older revision of the client and either make a copy of the program folder and use another copy of that so you can use both the new and old clients and not worry about the loss of an older revision since you'll always have 2 copies of the old client (One you're using, one you use to restore if it upgrades). Or you export the bookmarks as an HTML, then upgrade the client to the newest and import the HTML instead of the JSON files.
Please investigate and create an easier solution to a silly incompatibility issue. ^_^

This happens if you create a backup and forget to add the file extension manually when Firefox didn't add it automatically or you may have removed it when modifying the suggested name.

  • We have an Apple id that has a bunch of purchased music on it, but our children have changed the account details and the password, and the secret questions and now we can't remember any of that information, even our birthdays are not correct. HELP???

we have an apple ID that was set up in my wife's name. The kids have changed the account details and no-one can remember the password. They have also changed the account data and none of our birthdays are recognised by apple. We have no way of re-setting the account. The secondary email address we used when setting up the account is no longer accessible so even this option doesnt work..
What can we do as we have a large amount of purchased music on this account???

    1. Don't confuse "Apple ID" with iTunes Account ID.  You can have many Apple IDs but only one iTunes account active at a time.
    2. If you "changed" your iTunes account ID, you actually have 2 accounts - one under the old name plus the new name.
    3. You can't merge the accounts - they remain separate.  Apps purcahsed under the old account name will update ONLY WHEN THE PHONE IS SIGNED IN TO THE OLD ACCOUNT NAME  and visa versa.
    4. Likewise, you can sync only the apps, music, media purchased under the account the phone AND iTunes are signed in to.

However when the alarm display filter option on the client PC for "old alarms" is set to greater than 0, no old alarms are displayed.
Is there something to intiate the display old alarms in the client alarm window, or is the only way to display old alarms on the Client by means of the NI alarm & event browser active X component. Thanks for your help.

I could not see the Client Connection Monitor (CCM) because unlike 6.6, the settings for the CCM are shown in the lookout.ini file in 6.7, and my settings were as follows:
    [ClientConnectionMonitor]
    PositionSize=32767 32767 164 34
    HostColumn=0
    IPAddrColumn=0

  • Old photos are not accessible in Messages in iOS 8

I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 and the problem that I have is that the old photos received via iMessage are not accessible anymore. It just shows them as "?" in the Messages. Also in the "Details" view of the Messages they just appear as blank icons. I should clarify that the issue that I am facing is different from the one explained in:Messages Photos Not Showing: iOS 8 on iPhone 6. I do not have any problems with new messages/photos. The problem is with most (not all) of old Photos received in Messages.
Also, I recently purchased an iPhone 6 which I used iCloud backup to transfer data from my old iPhone 5, and I have the same problem with the new iPhone as well.
I'd appreciate if anyone could help me with this problem.

There is nothing wrong, at least the way that I understand it. When the camera roll reappeared in iOS 8.1, the photos that were in the camera roll were returned to your device again. Those were the photos that were there before you uodated to iOS 8. Users that have opted to particiapet in the iCloud Photo Library Beta do not have the camera roll.
IF you delete a photo from the camera roll and the photo exists in another album that you created on the iPad, then the photos will be deleted in those albums as well since the photos never existed in those albums to begin with. Those albums only contained pointers to the original photos which made them appear in the albums that you created in the photos app.

  • Links from old threads are not parsing in new "Communities" Forum - Fail!

As much as I am yet to be impressed with the new Communities look and feel this is functional aspect which need to be patched by Apple, and fast.
Old threads used the [Anchor text | uri link] syntax to define hyperlinked text. The new Communittees site is not parsing it correctly so old threads are full of this syntax in plain text — NOT PARSED to create links.
Everybody in QA and beta testing on this Forum Site at Apple needs a rocket under there ares for this very basic miss.(presumably it was made at Apple although I know RADAR is outside-ware)

[text | uri ] not parsed:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/13304539#13304539
Ridiculous cascade threading because of massive changes to the style of boards. Column's of text in this thread are now down to as little as 3 char wide:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/13333695#13333695
Apple this really *****. Totally apart from the look and feel of Communities which I'm reserving judgement on until I give a fair trial (but so far that ***** even more than the parsing junk). Why everything except the box I'm typing in has to be oversized to Duplo scale (are kindergarten kids using Communities already?) semi-bold font-face I can't guess.

  • When I sync my iPod to my MacBook through iTunes new events do not show up and old events are not deleted. I am using Snow Leopard  and not iSync.

I am using Snow Leopard on a MacBook. I have an iPod touch 3G. I do not use iSync it Mobile Me. When I sync my iPod through iTunes new events on my iPod do not show up on my Mac and old events do not delete. I have read help instructions that include deleting the data on the iPod. The iPod has the correct data and the Mac does not so I have not followed those instructions. I need help as the only reason I bought the Mac was to be able to sync, back up, view and print my calendar. Currently it is useless. If only Apple could have learned from the elegance of the Palm software.

  • Birthdays are not visible in calendar in 6300

When I input a birthday in my Nokia 6300 under a contact it does not appear in my calendar. I seem to recollect that previously it would appear there and also show me the age of the person if I inputed the year of birth correctly. In other words if put in myself with 1965 08 06 it would show my name and 44. What am I missing? How do I do this?
    Simon

The same applies to my N82, I noticed my calender doesn't even have a birthday function. All my older phones did this. Maybe the programmers forgot this. I think it's stupid because all my previous Nokia phones got me used to this feature. So I guess we're stuck with the phones the way they are

  • Old confirmations are not visible after  user ID is recreated

    Hello All,
We had an user which was recreated and the old user ID was deleted. But the old userID had some open confirmations in it. We have changed the GUID of the old user with the new user GUID. So though we can view all shopping carts for the user in SC check status, we cant view the old open confirmations in confirmations link in web frontend.
Please advise if any specific steps needs to be taken to view the old confirmations.
    Best regards,
    Sambit Mishra

Hi. I do not think you will be able to transfer any old documents to the new user, however you might be able to get the new user assigned to the old data.
You could try and delete the assignment from position to BP for the new BP, then re-assign the old BP, then assign the new user.
I am not sure if it will work though.
There are several threads like this on SDN and I do not think I have seen 1 where anyone has managed to transfer the old documents.
Could you give the user central goods receipt BBPCF03? That way they will be able to see all confirmations for all users.
If you really want a permanent solution to this and the above does not work, you could create a custom authorisation object called "View own confirmations only" and put this in a role along with BBPCF03 access. Then you could use BADI BBP_WF_LIST to say that if the user has this auth object they are only allowed to see their own confirmations, so in transaction BBPCF03 make sure that the user ID that created the confirmation equals the user ID logged on. That means that in central receipt the user will only be able to see and process their own data, but it will be based on user ID, not BP or GUID.

  • Old conversations are not synchronized with new MacBook Pro

    Hello!
Yesterday I purchased the newest Retina MacBook Pro (medio 2014), upgraded to Yosemite and started installing and setting up my applications. Sadly, I seem to have a problem with iMessage, since it's not synchronizing my messages properly.
Up until now I've been using an iPhone 3GS, a MBP (medio 2009 w. Yosemite) and an iMac (late 2012 w. Yosemite), and everything seems to work fine, since all the devices share and can access the same conversation history. However, when I started setting up iMessage on my newly purchased RMBP, the conversation history with each of my contacts isn't synchronized even though I'm able to send messages. I tried logging in/out, delete/add my iCloud account, but nothing seems to work.
I assume all of my messages are synchronized with iCloud. Of course it would make sense if it took some time for Apple to recognize and synchronize the messages, but it's been 18 hours since I started messing with iMessage. Am I being to impatient?
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Theis

    Hi,
It is a yes, no and maybe answer.
You have to grab several items form the old Mac and place them in the correct places on the new Mac.
As you seem to be using Yosemite all round that task is easier (that is a relative easier),
    See this pic
Note the Path Bar across the bottom that list where this Archive folder is.
It can be shortened to ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iChat/Data/Library/Archive
(you can type or Paste this in the Dialogue box in the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder)
In the Messages folder is also an Alias that links to the Attachments folder.  (I will come to that later)
    You also need this spot.
This is Still in ~/Library but not in the Containers bit but just the Messages folder.
It has the Attachments folder and the various chat.db items.
Move the Contents of the Attachments from one computer to the new one.
Move ALL the chat.db items (I must admit I am not sure about leaving the incompatible ones behind).
Make an Alias of the Attachments folder and drag it to it's proper position (in the Containers/../../Library/Messages folder)  (replace the one that is there so it is linked to the moved stuff).
Now go back to the Archive folder.  If you are using the Show Path Bar (view Menu of Finder) then you can Right Click the folder icons
Select the Archive Folder and then Get Info on the right click.
At the Bottom highlight your name in the list for Permissions.
You Should have Read and Write Permissions.
If you now use the Gogwheel type icon you can see if you Own the Folder.
If it is greyed out like this one then you Own it.
However you are most likely to have to "Apply to Enclosed" items as you have just moved things.
Repeat for the Chat.db and Attachments (~/Library/Messages folder).
And then the Alias just to be sure.
There is not an Export option that would be simpler.

  • Old items are not populated after adding items into a master/detail form

    Hi,
I am relatively new to APEX. I am creating a master/detail form. It works well. When I add new items the older items are no more populated. Why ?
For example I have an itme which is a select list as a Named LOV. At creation of the row I want the user to choose from this select list. It works well.
But when modifying the record, I don't want the user to change this name. For that purpose, I create an item which is a display only item. This item is conditional and appear only when the record has been created.
And this is where the problem comes. It seems to work but, if I logout of the application and login, then values are no more populated to the items and I get an error when trying to update the form.
I hope I make it clear. I have been trying a lot of times and found that if I add items, then everything goes wrong.
Thank you for your kind help.
    Christian

    Hi Christian,
You don't say what the error is that you are getting - this may help us with your problem!
On the form, do you now have TWO fields - one being the original select list and the other being a read-only version of it? Is it likely that BOTH fields could appear on the page at the same time AND that both are connected to the field on the table?
You can set the select list to be read-only conditionally - in this case you could make it read-only on the condition of the primary key field not being null.
