Old Boss Dr-5 Unit

Hey guys..
So I found decided to pull my old Boss Dr-5 Rhythm section out from the closet after 12 years and wanted to record the midi from the unit into Logic or Garageband.
The unit has 4 tracks (Drums, Track 1, Track 2, Track). In the Dr-5 I can specify the midi output for each track so I have Drums=10, Track 1 = 1, Track 2= 2, Track 3 = 3.
If I want to play the pads as a midi controller it works and I can change the sounds in logic to update the sounds of the DR-5. The problem is I want to beable to record all 4 tracks from the unit into logic at the same time, on different tracks just so I can replace the sounds.
I've created 4 midi tracks, assigned the numbers but its not working.
I've searched around on the net and youtube and have found nothing since this is an older unit. I'm using a USB uno go from the DR-5 to usb into my macbook.
Can anyone help with this?

Ok here is what I did.
I made the DR-5 have all 4 tracks pointing to midi channel 1. I created a new external midi track. In the Library field to the right I changed it from GM Device to USB Uno Midi Interface and selected channel 1. Now track 1 in Logic is armed. I'm hitting play on the DR-5 and record in logic. I see something recording but I cant play it back even if I change it to a GM device to listen back. Something tells me this isn't working right.

  • My old boss is using info that is still being sharded with the mac i used. She is violating my privacy. How can I disconnect with that computer. I do have its serial

I quit my job 5 weeks ago and just found out that my old boss is reading all my text, email, facebook, etc on my macbook air that I used while employed. How can I stop sharring info with that computer.I have its serial#, etc

Change the password on your iCloud account and on any other email accounts.
If you had Find My Mac setup on the Mac Air you could log in to your iCloud account at iCloud.com, go to the Find My Mac section and either wipe the Air clean or lock it.
That's pretty drastic and might bring consequenses.

  • My boss got fired, my new boss cannot open the company iPhone, my old boss would not give him the password, what can I do? The iPhone is a model A1332, EMC 380BE, FCC ID BCG-E2338OB, IC 579C-E238OB

my Boss got fired, my new boss needs to open the company iPhone and does not have the pass word, what can be done to bypass PW so it can be used.?

If is the passcode that you see when you unlock the iPhone, the only thing you can do is: iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
    Use recovery mode
Follow these steps if you never synced your device with iTunes, if you don't have Find My iPhone set up, or if you can't get to your own computer. You'll need to put your device in recovery mode to erase the device and its passcode. Then you'll restore your device.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
    Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button. While holding the Home button, connect your device to iTunes. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, then restore the device.

  • I had a company iPhone but left a year ago resetting the phone before I left. I don't think it has been used since but my old boss has bought it and wants to use it. He says that it is still locked into me and wanted my Apple ID

i can't remember if it was different yo my normal one but I don't intend to tell him. He is now asking instead for my security questions answers.
IS there an thing I can do without releasing into to him?

    Yes,
Go to Find My Phone, locate the specific Phone and remove it from your account,
Remove an iOS device you no longer have
If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone. If you don’t see Find My iPhone on iCloud.com, your account just has access to iCloud web-only features. To gain access to other iCloud features, set up iCloud on your iOS device or Mac.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.
Note: If you’re trying to erase a family member’s device, that person will need to enter his or her Apple ID password on this device.
If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased. If you erase your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you have credit and debit cards in Passbook for Apple Pay, Find My iPhone attempts to remove your cards immediately, even if your iPhone is offline. For more information, see the Apple Support article Using Passbook.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account. All your content is erased, and someone else can now activate the device.

  • How can I transfer HD from old PM G3300 w/o USB?

I have an old Power Macintosh G3: Power Mac G3 DT and still running os9.1. It is time to upgrade but much of what is on the harddrive is larger than the 100mb capcity of the built in zip drive. There is no usbon this computer.
I'd like to backup hd from DT to eventually be able to put on my usb thumb drive but do not want to install usb card on this old computer.
I can borrow a G4 ibook from the office. Many years ago I remember I was shown a way to put a cable between two computers to enable me to access what was one from the other. But do not know if that still will work with old computer and newer unit or what kind of cable to use, orhow to setup thiskind of sharing. Or is their an easier way to transfer info fromold hd using the wireless router in my home...the G3 is directly plugged into the router.
What is easiest way to transfer about 2-3gb from the G3/300 without a large outlay of money,or time?
PowerMac G3 Beige Desktop   Mac OS 9.1.x

    Howard:
You didn't say if you have another computer at home that you'll be using instead of the Beige, or if you have another HD.
    A couple of additional options:
You can pull the HD from the Beige and put it in an external case and use it with another computer or pull the HD and put it as a second HD in another computer.
If you have a spare ATA HD, you can pull the power plug and IDE cable from the back of the ZIP and hook that up to the secondary HD. Have the secondary HD's jumper set to slave. This HD appears on the desktop and you can transfer data at will.

  • Changing unit text limitations -error 1128

    Hey everyone,
I'm developing a VI which uses the native power of LabVIEW Units to do all my number conversions.
Here's my question, once the units are set for a control at edit-time can i change the Unit Text to something unrelated at run-time in order to prepare my indicator for a different signal? For instance lets say Channel 1 is a temperature for Test1 so programmatically converting from Fdeg to Cdeg and back is no problem for LabVIEW. For Test2, the same VI is used but now Channel 1 is a pressure. Can i programmatically change my indicator units from Fdeg now to a pressure unit like psi, atm, or bar? I'm getting Error 1128 "Input unit is not compatible with the current unit." even though the unit is correct when entered at Edit-time.  Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Craig
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi craige,
no, you can't change the unit type at runtime. This will be fixed at compilation time... You can only change to other representations of the same physical property (like Pa to bar or to some obscure psi for pressure).
One old trick when using units:
You may use "$1" as unit for a control. Using a "Convert unit" function also set to "$1" you can then strip the unit. So your subVI will accept any unit for the connected control - but that doesn't solve your perticular problem

  • Help- Boss issue, real number for the iPhone & a forwarded number to iPhone

Here is the deal, an old boss paid for the "real #" on the iPhone, I had my personal # forwarded to that iPhone. My personal # & SIMM are in an old Razr. I am assuming my boss will be disconnecting the SIMM and # he pays for, very soon... Dooah!
How can I simply take my personal SIMM (it has a 3G logo on the SIMM) pop out with a pin the SIMM that is in the iPhone put my personal SIMM in and sync iTunes to set up a new #? Do I lose all the apps contact etc just because I am switching the SIMM & #? Need this to be done quick so my customers (whom always had my forwarded number) do go to him?... Help

It depends on if you have a 3g or a original iphone..
If you have a 3g, I assume you can activate it using at&t service somehow(prolly need a different sim)
If you have an original iphone, and you are trying to use a at&t or t-mobile sim, the phone has to be unlocked.. Just put the sim in, and you should be good, since your contacts and such are stored on the phone and not on the sim card.
If you have a me address, it is even easier to get contact info back(on any phone), since you just out in your email.. But just to change the sim, it will not hurt none.

  • Must I reconnect to my wireless network EVERY time I want to watch ATV?

This seems like basic stuff to me, but I can’t find an answer anywhere, short of calling the support line….so thought I’d try here first.
EVERY time I sit down to view my ATV, if I want to use it outside of what I have synced to it, i.e. in streaming mode for iTunes, YouTube, Flickr, etc. I have to re-connect to my wireless network, including having to input my password every time. Is this standard procedure, or am I neglecting to “save” my password somewhere? I would have assumed that since it’s never really turned “off”, that it should stay connected to my network, without having to reconnect every time. I mean, I don’t have to input my network password every time I want to browse the web using Safari on my iMac…..why do have to repeatedly do this with my ATV?
It’s rather inconvenient, especially if other family members want to use ATV when I’m not around, as my network password is confidential. (And while we’re at it – is there any way to input your password without showing it?)
Any help would be appreciated – thanks.

Question: have you installed the new Airport 2.0 software? If so, did the problem start after that?
I have had the same problem. A quick temporary fix -quicker than re-entering your password - is to unplug/replug the Apple TV. It should then rediscover the network: go to Settings:General: NW and see if it appears.
However, if we have the same problem, it won't hold the NW connection. It will lose it several times a day.
I bought an Apple TV the moment the came out a few years ago It always worked perfectly as a music and photo server, connecting wirelessly via Airport Extreme like you, the old round one]. Shortly after installing the software upgrade earlier this month, it lost its ability to see my home network or make an internet connection. After several hours trouble shooting with Apple, we were unable to correct this, and they concluded the ATV faulty and sent me a new one. The new one installed and connected perfectly, but after downloading the software upgrade [curiously the replacement unit had the old software] the new unit will not old an internet connection for more than an hour or so. I must unplug/replug the Apple TV to get it back, but it just looses it again in an hour or so. [NB: this is different than the issue which led to the replacement of the unit, as the original could not make a connection at all]. Now after several more hours of trouble shooting, Apple tells me the problem must be caused by magnetic interference from another system component, probably a loudspeaker. As I have had my current system configuration for 13 months, a sudden problem seems counter intuitive. Ia m now in process of re-locating the speaker six feet away to see if it solves the problem.
My son, A Berkely PhD EE and Computer Scientist, suggests that this could be caused by a bug in the 2.0 software, which is brand new and no doubt buggy. So I plan to re-set to 1.0 to see if that is the case.
    I'll let you know!
I replaced the Airport Extreme with a Time Capsule the day before I installed the new ATV. Don't think the new TC is the issue as the old ATV went out wit the Airport Extreme.

  • "No internet access" error, but can connect to any webpage - Intel 6300

I've been experiencing a somewhat annoying error; it seems very hard to troubleshoot just based on the terminology ("no internet access" is a very popular search).
    I have a W520 with the intel 6300 nic.
The networking center says that I have "no internet access", and displays the dreaded yellow exclamation.  I have verified that the networking center is selecting the network I'm connected to (checked the SSID).
Strangely enough, I can connect to any website/download anything. It seems that after 15-20 minutes, the error will go away and it will finally acknowledge I have internet access. I have tripled verified all the settings, everything seems to check out fine (DNS, DG, IP, etc..). There are no conflicts on the network.
It's not like the error inhibits anything, but it's annoying when you're trying to troubleshoot network errors.
    Anyone run into this before?
Thanks in advance for any help

    hey nfs924,
got some questions for you mate.
connecting via wireless or wired ?
If via wireless, is the wireless transmission from your device on encryption (wep/psk) or open?
have you tried the unit at a different location ? Was the result the same ?
While you gather the answers, head over to http://support.lenovo.com and crosscheck with the network card of your unit.
old version on your unit = update it please
    same version = reinstall.

  • Has anyone solved their LR4 / Nikon D800 RAW NEF issues?

I've done a lot of reading on this topic and think I have a handle on how easily the new D800 NEF files can be corrupted by the older versions of Nikon Transfer.
When I began using the camera I accidently made the mistake of corrupting them and haven't had any issues since... until yesterday.
I photographed last night, and imported about 160 RAW NEF files onto my brand new Macbook Pro with Retina for a same day preview for the host.  I transfered the images using ViewNX2 & by association it's built-in Nikon Transfer 2 utility. I used the built in SD Card reader on the Macbook which has always worked in the past.  But alas!!!!!  While they imported fine, LR4 can't import them and gives me the error "Preview Unavailable at this Time".  I should note... Nikon Transfer 2 was set to clear the card after the transfer .
Nikon ViewNX2 can see the images and I'd hoped to fix the issue by just converting them to JPEG's but, no bueno. It tells me it can't.  This is the precise issue I can into when I accidently used the original version months ago on my iMac.  But it's impossible that I have the old version on this unit.  It's less than a month old and I'd downloaded the most recent version from Nikon.  So I'm running under the assumption that the file is somehow corrupted.
I've seen a lot of people running into issues getting used to the new workflow requied to deal with these enormous RAW's.
Here's the all important question. After the files have an issue... is there anyway to recover them???  I can't retake them, the original shots were wiped from the card. So what do I do?  At least Nikon View can see them, so I have to believe that there is some image information there.
Has anyone sucessfully fixed the issue?
Going forward I plan to just import everything directly through LR4, so I think that'll aliviate future heartburn... but what's my "undo" solution?
I know there's a lot that's been written on this topic and really appriciate the support!
    -Jared

What Bob Frost just posted (after fixing the hidden http// part of the URL) worked for the image you uploaded, so try that:
    http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/fix_corrupted_nef.html
BTW, I answered 14 to the bit-depth-12-or-14 question the utility asked, and it worked ok on the example corrupted NEF.
Below is what I was typing up and testing before posting, and works to extract the embedded JPG Preview, but does not actually fix the corrupted NEFs, which is a better solution.  I am including it, below, for reference in case someone without corrupted NEFs also wants to extract JPGs from their raw files.  It uses the same tool from Phil Harvey without his customizations to work specifically with corrupted NEFs.
    == Original Message ==
The raw data in the NEF you uploaded appears corrupted or otherwise unusable because when viewing in Windows Explorer using the latest Nikon NEF Codec that supports the D800, all I see is a small thumbnail then black with a few parts of color, however for that one file, at least, the embedded JPG preview is intact, and 7360 x 4912 in size, enough to see the camera-shake blur.
    https://dl.dropbox.com/u/9905000/JBR_20120910_175757.jpg
I’m on a PC and you’re on a Mac but the same tool is available - exiftool a command-line program you run in terminal (on a Mac) or in a Command Prompt window on a PC:
    http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
If what you download includes a (-k) then remove it by renaming before attempting to run the command, below.  On Windows I would rename exiftool(-k).exe to exiftool.exe without the (–k) part.  The (-k) tells exiftool to display the exif information by default if you drag-and-drop to it.  While this is normally useful, for the purpose of extracting JPGs from NEFs this might be confusing so I’m suggesting to rename the executable before using it.
Here is the command-line to extract the fullsize JPG from the NEFs and then copy the metadata tags from the NEF to the newly written JPG:
    .\exiftool -b -JpgFromRaw -w %d%f_%ue.jpg -execute -tagsfromfile @ -srcfile %d%f_%ue.jpg -overwrite_original -common_args --ext jpg .
The above command assumes both the exiftool executable and all the NEFs are in the current folder.  The current folder is designated by a single period both at the very beginning and the very end of the command-line.  If exiftool is in a different folder, then supply that path instead of the initial period, and if the NEFs are in a different folder, substitute that folder-name for the final period.  The final period has a space separating it from the preceding –ext jpg.
It is also assumed that only NEFs and the executable are in the current folder.  If there are other files, they may confuse things so you might want to move things to a temporary working folder, and I’d suggest working with a copy of the NEFs just in case something goes haywire, you’re not overwriting the originals, corrupt as they may be.
For reference, the above command-line was simplified from a more complex example that didn’t quite work with your file, one that conditionally extracts either the full-size JPG or the tiny JPG-thumbnail.  The example is the last one in the Copying Examples section, here:
    http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/exiftool_pod.html#copying_examples

  • Would a macbook pro do what I need...

Heya guys I need some advice. First of all English isn't my main language so I apologize in advance if some things don't make sense.
I'm studying networking, how to be a network administrator. I'm about to finish my first semester and at first I thought I would be fine using the school's computers (i7 third gen, I thing around 3.5ghz, 16gb of ram). Problem is, a lot of people are using these computers and a lot of people are playing around with them, opening them up, messing with stuff and changing bios configuration. I've actually had a pc crash on my while I was doing a test and lost everything. After that I figure I needed my own computer so I wouldn't be dependent on their machines.
Talking with a teacher he told me that one final project he usually gives those about to finish the program is to run around 10 virtual machines (using vmware), a combination of windows server 2008, windows 7 and linux machines and have each run independent services or act as clients, all at the same time.
I figure I need a pretty powerful laptop to be able to do all that (>16gb ram, fast processor). I'd like to be able to last the duration of my program without having to upgrade.
At first, since everything we are doing is on windows, I was looking for a windows laptop but every model that caught my eyes are not that stable, a lot of them, or all of them actually, have pretty major problems.  The one I was leaning towards the most has a problem where the screen turns black permanently with no solution to that problem being found yet (one person on the forum has had this problem since october now).  I've been needing a reason to switch for mac for a while now so I figured now might be a good time.
I just need to make sure I'll be able to run those 10 virtual machines without any hiccups.  The laptop I was looking at had 32gb ram and the rMBP only has 16, will that be enough?  Some of the labs we do in class we need to be on the same local network so I would need the thunderbolt to ethernet adapter.  I'd be using mainly windows at school but at home it would be mac all the way.  I think I'd rather do everything windows related using vmware rather than do a boot camp install, I've read online people having problems with drivers.
I realise a laptop will never be as good as a desktop, but having a laptop will also mean I can do school work at home, which is a big plus as well.  I'd get a fully decked out 15inch macbook pro, with the 2.8ghz processor and 1tb disk.
Oh and the fact that this laptop doesn't weigh 10 pounds is a big plus since I spend 3 hours in the subway and bus each day.
    HELP!
    Thanks in advance

Just visited my son and his old boss was running VM Fusion. I asked him about it:
"Glad to help.  Also note that VMware Fusion (another similar product is VirtualBox) are not, strictly speaking, windows (or whatever) emulators.  I guess they would more appropriately be considered machine emulators.  The just create the environment into which you install a full operating system (which you have to install separately).  While my home machine is OS-X with a "VM" running windows XP, my work computer is windows 7 with a VM (VirtualBox) running Ubuntu.
    Both seem to work well."
So that seems to work well and it was an older MacBook Pro an early 2012 15".
There are older MBPs still being sold by Apple
    http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/specs/
I like these because you can easily upgrade them w/ SSD and 8 GB RAM. (OWC to 16 GB)
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_160 0MHz_SDRAM
You'll find the SSD is the most important component of the MBP as long as you're at 8 GB RAM. Very speedy.

  • Snow Airport and G5 Losing contact.

The have been working well. No big changes in environment. But the G5 can't see the Airport Base Station v4.0.9 unless I haul the G5 out of the closet and put it on a table.
tried cleaning off the airport card contacts in the G5.
The airport seems to work fine with my laptop.
Anyone with similar experiences and solutions? External antenna for the G5? Which one?
The Snow Airport is mounted on a wall with the sockets pointed up. Does anyone know the radiation pattern? Would orienting it differently solve the problem?
    Thanks,
    Ty Ford

Have a 2 GHz DP G5 equipped with an Airport Extreme wireless card (802.11b/g) and a stubby airport antenna hanging out the back -- used to have signal strength issues with older snow base station (802.11b only), as well as complete drop outs, causing my cable modem connection to disappear for 30 seconds at a time, every now and again. Even tried an external antenna on the old snow base station unit -- did not help much.
Bought an Airport Extreme base station, and signal strength on DP G5 stays strong and no more dropping of cable modem connection. Don't need an external antenna for Airport Extreme base station, either -- internal antenna works fine.
I have the DP G5 in the basement -- Airport Extreme is one floor up (in the same location where older snow airport base unit used to sit), and over to the other side of the house from the G5 location -- 50-60 ft distance.
Your solution may be to upgrade your wireless base station unit.

  • Illustrator files from China & output issues

I just need to bounce this off of someone - we received several files (40 in fact) from China for Wal Mart -
My Rip would not accept the pdf files created from these Illustrator files.
They were created in Ilustrator CS4 in China and opened in Illustrator CS4 (here in the US) and saved as a PDF per my specs
The input would fail just at the point that color information was being gleaned from the file -
We sent these files to Screen and they ripped them and sent them back to me (they used a newer workflow) - these files went through fine -
Today I asked our client to send one of the original files and all linked images (they were embedded in the ai files I had received originally so I couldn't dig in and get any onfo)
When looking at the images (photoshop eps files that opened in mac preview with a double click - however, when opened in Photoshop there were guidelines drawn so I feel it began as a photoshop file) used in the file, they all had Japan Color 2001 Coated color profiles -
Now my question is this - is it at all possible for that to have hindered the ripping of these pdfs?
PDF's that would not rip were opened in Pitstop and flattened, "preflighted" and repaired all errors in an attempt to get them to go over - final preflight in acrobat 9 & pitstop indicated there were no problems -
any ideas? Is there a software incompatibility going on here?

I know that this thread is pretty old but as the OP I wanted to provide an update.
We finally discovered what the problem was - however, we still don't know exactly why unless it is because our workflow is so old.
I ended up splitting the file in question into several files by color. Fortunately many of the colors were overprinting each other so trapping was not an issue.
All colors went through just fine except ONE.
I opened that file back up in Illustrator and simply changed the swatch color to a different spot and guess what - it went through just fine.
I assume that there was something about the original swatch that Trueflow gagged on.
Coincidentally, my old boss called me that same week with a problem he had getting an Illustrator file to process in his Harlequin rip - turns out that the issue was similar - a pattern swatch in the file was preventing the file from ripping.
I know it's a little late - but should anyone come across a similar issue the swatches may be the problem, particularly if your rip is an older one - as you know, we don't all have the luxury of having the latest and greatest equipment to work with, particularly with the economy being what it has been.

  • Have i killed my computer?

I have a computer which is about two years old. It has a MB So. 775 MSI P4M900M 2-L board and a PCI-e NVidea GeForce 7300GT 512MB TV out & DVI graphics card. Everything was fine until i decided to upgrade one of my DVD writers to blueray. It turned out that my graphics card wasn't man enough, so i have to upgrade. As the new card hadn't arrived i thought i'd increase my ram too. I had to remove the graphics card to remove a stick to see what i had. Upon replacing the ram stick and graphics card and then switching the computer back on i now just get a message on the monitor that it receives no signal. Assuming i hadn't put the card back in correctly, i took it out again and replaced it even though it looked to be fine. Still the same, no signal. I have tried plugging the monitor into the board with the graphics card removed but i get the same...No signal. So, have i killed the card and or the board as well? The new graphics card has arrived but it needs a posh monitor, which i knew about, so i can't plug my monitor into it to see if my old card has gone to the great component heaven in the sky. I could plug my tv into the new card but i haven't got a clue if i would get a display on it without selecting to use the tv first. Problem is, i can't see what is on the screen to select watching on the tv too. I have noticed that on the old card, two of the gold contact 'pins?' are a couple of mm shorter then the rest. With the card placed flat in front of you with the monitor sockets on the left, the 'pins' facing away from you with the big heatsink underneath, it is the extreme left hand 'pin' on top. It is 1mm shorter than the rest. If you turn the card over with the monitor sockets still on the left but now with the heatsink on top and the 'pins' facing towards you, the other short 'pin' is second in from the right.Again 1mm shorter than the rest. Is this as it should be or have i damaged it? If i have, have i also killed the mother board? Before touching the components, i held on the the unpainted copper water pipe below the radiator and had my hands touching the inside of the case when removing and replacing the card and ram, so i don't think i've staticked it to death, or have i? The new blueray burner was in the case but not connected up at the time. It has a  CPU 775 P4-D 2x3.0GHz PC800 4MB Mod. 925
If it is dead, can someone suggest a slightly better board i can replace it with on which i can use my 2x3.0GHz processors?
    Thanks for any advice.

    Ok, here's an update...
I have bought my MSI G31 TM-P35 motherboard. Fitted in my old case, connected up all the wires, fitted my old cpu, used fresh thermal paste and fitted a CNPS9700 'ultra quiet cpu cooler' from Zalman. aFTER DECIDEING THAT MY EXTERNAL 1tB HARD DRIVE WAS GETTING A BIT FULL, I THOUGHT I'D GO FOR A BIGGER hdd INSIDE TOO. sO I HAVE FITTED A , sorry, forgot to cancel caps...  I've fitted a Seagate Sata 2 750Gb 16Mb. So now, i have new board, new cpu cooler, new hard drive, new blue ray dvd burner. So all is well? i hear you ask. Well no. I plug in the monitor and guess what? No signal
I only have old case, cpu, power unit and ram left to change. Could it be the power unit at fault? It doesn't smell burnt out. It doesn't smell at all. Could it be the cpu or ram? Usually when my car breaks down i can fix it by throwing money at it. When really desperate i throw my cousin at it. He is a mechanic and is used to it. What should i replace next? I could do with some good advice as i am starting to run out of money and my cousin would probably hit it with something heavy if he got it on his ramp
