Old Cable Driver installed - cannot remove it

Greetings,
Hopefully someone can help me.
Was unable to connect my 9500 to my computer using PCSUITE.
Had an older version working for allmost 2 years.
During the upgrade process was unable to get to the latest version, but successfully installed 6.82.27.0.
The problem still remains the same.
Followed the deinstallation process I found on this forum, which is:
Deinstallation of all Nokia software, use Registry Cleaning process and clean the temp files etc.
Problem stils remains the same after 6 hours of battling this issue.
Would appreciate someone's help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks and Regards,
Frans.

  • Old Cable Driver interferring with new?

So here's the issue. I guess due to some unproper installing or un-installing of another pc suite a couple of years back(not sure if it was done by me or someone else using this machine) Add/Remove was not able to remove the old cable driver. I tried the cleaner, still nothing. When I install the new pc suite(the latest version) for my new phone just bought, I get a message that it could not remove the old pc suite(I guess meaning just the cable driver as the old one is not on add/remove and is long gone). I carry on with the installation anyway, it supposedly installs everything fine, but alas, when I connect my phone to the computer, it just doesn't let me continue, as if it doesn't recognize it. PC Suite itself does not give me any message, I just can't 'Next' it, however XP gives the bubble saying the new hardware was not properly installed and that it might not work properly. Also, checking after the installation, in addition to the new PC Suite, Add/Remove has two cable drivers, the old and the new one. Any ideas?

I didn't use the cd when i connected mine and it installed fine on xp and vista.

  • Old hard drive crashed, cannot get iTunes to find files

    Hi,
Please help. Been working on this for weeks and can't get it right. Am at my wit's end:
Old hard drive crashed; had new one installed. Tech person was able to find my iTunes on old drive and saved to thumbdrive. Downloaded most recent software and synced iPod - it "read" some of what was on it but would not play anything. tried to consolidate libraries/import from thumbdrive, then could view my whole library, but when I try to play any song it says it cannot locate the original file - does not matter if i purchased it from iTunes or added from CD. This computer is authorized, I've tried all the other "tutorials," added files (didn't work), tried using my iPod to xfer music to new computer - didn't work. I have my old hard drive booted and ready to go, can see the files and have copied them direct from drive to drive, still didn't work (followed the directions to keep music folder organized, etc.) What am I doing wrong?? I can't use my iTunes at all - just downloaded three new songs and that's all I can play from it. iPod itself seems unaffected.
    Thanks!! - [email protected]

Hi, you said you still have access to your old hard drive.
Can you move the entire itunes folder from the old to the new?
Not just the 'itunes music' folder - you need the parent folder of that.
It has an important file named itunes library.itl that holds ratings, play counts and the paths to your music files.
Copy that entire itunes folder and all its subfolders over to the new PC.
Press *and hold* the shift key while starting itunes and choose the ITL file you just copied over.

  • New cable driver installed by updater doesn't work

    Hi,
My phone had no problem with connecting to my PC through USB cable, but after installing Software Updater, it upgraded my cable drivers to version 6.80.5.0. Now, neither PC Suit, nor Software Updater could connect to my phone. Windows says the driver is installed successfully and it shows my phone model, but Get Connected couldn't find my phone. I tried to uninstall the new drivers from Device Manager and re-install PC Suit, but it still uses the new versions and i couldn't connect my phone to my PC.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    PC Suit Version : 6.6.16
    Software Updater : 1.1.30
Nokia USB Driver Version : 6.80.5.0

  • Itunes has old apple id.  Cannot remove it

I'm trying to download updates to apps on my phone and it won't work.  This is because I have an old apple id and I can't get it to change.  Please help.  I threw my phone on the ground after multiple attempts.  I thought that this was fixed at the apple store.   i don't want to go back, I've been 3x in the last two weeks.

that is because the app you are trying to update was downloaded with that old ID and can only be updated with that ID.  you either update with the old ID or delete the app and download it with the new ID again

  • Have Old Hard drive and want to move old data onto new hard drive in imac.

I am trying to get my files off of an old hard drive. I have it hooked up through a sata drive. I am able to access all the programs but for whatever reason I am unable to access any of the files, i.e- 1,00's of pictures, videos, music, and documents. Is there something else I need to do in order to get the files, or is it possible that all the programs could still be on it but the files are just missing? In the current Sata it only has two plugs but on my hard drive it looks like there is another place to plug something in.

    Hello again Shadow,
The way I do this is to:
    1) Install your new hard drive into your iBook
    2) Get your iBook reassembeled
    3) Place your old hard drive in your firewire enclosure
    4) Insert your install DVD into your iBook and restart with the C key held down. When the installer launches, select your language in the first pane, click 'continue' and in the upper dropdown menu in the next page select Utilities > Disk Utility. After DU is open, select your hard drive from the list of volumes on the left (the very top one), and then click the 'Partition' tab to the right. Then select 1 partition (normal) and make sure that you have 'Mac OS Extended (journled)' selected in the lower section. Then click 'partition'
5)Quit disc utility, which brings you back to the installer. continue with your installation of OS X. In one of the first steps you will see a button on the lower left which says 'options' click on that and make sure that the option 'Installs OS X for the first time' is selected. It will normally be selected by default with a new drive.
    6) After the installation, the Migration Assistant will ask if you would like to transfer your information from another mac. click yes then follow the instructions. but instead of using another mac, connect a firewire cable from your enclosure with your old hard drive installed. The installer will think that this is another mac and will transfer all of your account information and user files (everything!)from your old drive to your iBook's new drive. Just diconnect when it says to and complete the installation sequence.
    You're done!
Check back again if anything is unclear.

  • Cable driver can not be removed when installing la...

I have been unable to install an up date of the PC Suite because "Old cable drivers can not be removed".
    WinXP service pack 3.
I can not remove certain Nokia entries from the registry using Regedit.
Nokia support have suggested I do a complete re-install of XP  which I dread doing because of the time it will take.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi,
How about uninstalling PC Connecitivity solution from Control Panel, it will not have any "NOKIA" tag along with its name, you can also check if your pc has got any nokia flashing connecitivity cable driver too?
Why not use PC Suite cleaner?  You can find the link for this here

  • I cannot install itunes as an old version of bonjour cannot be removed

I tried to upgrade to a new version of iTunes but it failed and i had problems with the bonjour software. I have no managed to uninstall everything except Bonjour. When i try and install iTunes, an error message appears saying an old version of Bonjour cannot be removed contact support.
There is a Bonjour folder in my C/Programme Files folder and is also listed in the control panel but i cannot remove it as it is looking for bonjour.msi file?
How do i get past this?

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

    java applets will not load,

have removed all old versions of java from my hard drive & restarted the computer.
i have checked that java is enabled in the plug-ins and it is with version se 6 u22, also something called java development toolkit 6.0.220.4 np runtime script plug-in library for java (tm) deploy.
if i click on java console in tolls nothing happens

    Hi,
You might want to look in your control panel for 'Java' icon. It should give you an option to enable java plugin into your browser. Let me know if you still face the issue.
    Thanks!

  • New hard drive installed in Mac.  iTunes keeps asking to authorize a very old email address which is not associated with my iPhone and I cannot sync iTunes to my iPhone.

New hard drive installed in Mac.  iTunes keeps asking to authorize a very old email address which is not associated with my iPhone and I cannot sync iTunes to my iPhone.

It is referring to purchases made using an Apple ID that was set with that email as the Apple ID. Did you simply create a new Apple ID when the old email address was no longer being used? If so, then that old Apple ID is still tied (and will always be tied) to the purchases made with it, and you will have to sign into iTunes with that Apple ID in order to authorize the computer to it.
If you don't remember the password for it, you can go to Manage your Apple ID and click on Reset password. If you don't remember the answers to your Security Questions, you can contact Apple Support to get them reset:

When I attempt to start up Photoshop CS5, I get an error code 6.  Is there a way to uninstall the Adobe Suite from the old C: drive.

That is what I ended up doing.  It was a chore but it worked.
