Old classic debugger, RPERF

hi all;
i read something about the old classic debugger: "not all abap can be debugged in the old debugger (no RPERFs: conversion/field exit)"
what does RPERF mean?

Go to SE 38 , from menu options <b>Utilities</b> and Select <b>Debugging</b> and choose the <b>Classic Debugger</b> radio button.

  • Classic Debugger

    Hi -
Every time I run the debugger, I have to click on "Debugger / Classic Debugger" to switch to the classic, which I prefer.  Is that a way for me to have it default to the Classic Debugger so I don't have to do this every time I start up a debugger session?
    Thanks!

  • HT4059 I want to buy audiobooks for my iphone but cannot find where to buy them. All I see when I type in audiobooks are old classics and children's books. Help

I have been trying to find books in the audio format so I can listen while I walk but when I try to find audiobooks all that comes up are children's books and old classics. Where do I go in itunes to find good audiobooks?

    Hi isabelle,
If you are having issues with your bookmarks for your Maps application not functioning, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Classic Debugger limitations - Explanation requested

    Hello Experts,
I'd really appreciate if one can explain me (in its true sense) what is meant by the following statements:
With the classic debugger it is generally not possible to analyze prgrams in debugging mode that run in ABAP processor unit and are called recursively from subordinate unit. For example, a conversion exit cannot be analyzed using this debugger if it runs within a WRITE statement - The debugger in this case is called recursively from within itself.
I am not able to understand what is meant by subordinate unit here and also how can I reproduce this in the system. Meaning what statements should I execute in the system to see it happening before my eyes.
    Thanks a lot!

    DATA:
      w_matnr TYPE matnr VALUE '1234'.
    WRITE : w_matnr.
Place a break point at the WRITE statement, debug the code(F5) in both classic and new debuggers and the see the difference for yourself.

  • Newbie question on classic debugger option.

How to keep the 'classic debugger' as default while debugging.  Otherwise everytime when  I debug, I have to click to 'switch to debugger option'. Do I need to make any option changes?
    Thanks in advance

Just a small correction as I believe you want the classic debugger all the time.
    From SE38 ABAP Editor screen menu -> Utilities->Settings .
This will take you to the User specific settings window.
    Click the Debugging Tab.
Click the Radio Button Classic Debugger , hit enter and you are all set.

  • I found my old classic  ipod after 5 years and I wanted all the music from it , and it ended up restoring it and everything is now gone :( is there anyway I can get them back ??

I found my old classic ipod after 5 years and I wanted all the music from it , and I plugged it onto my computer and it ended up deleting everything how can or can I retreve them ?

The Restore erases the iPod's hard drive, so the song files are gone.
It is like an external hard drive (if you set the iPod to Enable disk use), so standard data recovery utilities may (?) allow you to recover erased data, like you might from a regular external hard drive.

  • Backing up and restoring an old/classic 80gb ipod

    Hi
I have an approx. 6/7 year old 80 gb ipod classic. I have a laptop running Windows 7 and the latest itunes software. I would like to back up my itunes library to a portable external device which I have yet to buy. I have approx 20 GB of music and 40Gb of TV/films. i will also be backing up some documents which will take up a lot less memory.
I currently do not have my library backed up anywhere. My ipod is too old to use apples's icloud.
Could you advise what backing up and eventually, restoring looks like? Do I simply copy the itunes folder in my Library and paste it into the external device?
And then if my laptop breaks/is stolen - how do I transfer files to a new laptop?
My experience is that you have to open each individual file from the windows library for it to appear on the (new) itunes library. With 4,000 songs - that isn't very practical.
Is there anything else I should consider for this process? I plan on buying something like a 120GB device.
I have a Nexus Google 4 smartphone bought this year. It seems to have stored some of my itunes music library in Google Play but not all. I'm not sure how this happened.
    Thanks
    Jack

If you use iTunes to restore an iPad currently under an older iOS version and the iPad is qualified to run the newest available iOS version, the iPad will be updated to the *newest iOS version*.
However, if your reset the iPad on the iPad itself (under Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings), it will remain at it's currently installed iOS version.

  • Can I use the old Classic mode on a new iMac?

On my old iMac G5 running OS X 10.3.9, I also had a "Classic" mode that worked with all my old apps. I just bought a newer iMac (10 months old) running OS X version 10.6.6. Can I install Classic on it too? If not, is there some other way that I can run my old Photoshop, Word etc. on my new computer?

The various free Office-like open source applications are great, however learning to use the Gimp, for anyone who is used to the way Photoshop and Mac programs work, is a challenge. And that is an understatement of the case! Instead of struggling with the Gimp, for less than 100 bucks one can buy Photoshop Elements. It will do everything the Classic version of Photoshop would do, that "regular" people would want, and then some (there are some things that professionals do, such as working with CMYK, that Elements doesn't do). Another option is Pixelmator, but I've been trying it (it was on sale in the new Mac App Store), and it just isn't as good as PS Elements, and its regular price isn't all that much cheaper.

  • How can I get my old classic iPod library onto a new computer without losing either library? The songs on my iPod are from hundreds of CD's I don't want to re-import

My original iPod has my old CD collection on it, hundreds of them painstakingly imported. Over the years, I have got new iPod, new iPhone, new computer, and run a separate iTunes library. But now I want my old collection on my computer. How can I get this old iPod music converged with my newer music and computer, without having to wipe out a library or lose any music?

    Hello jlfromcorona,
Use the manual method of copying all the music from your iPod Classic, to your new Mac.  See this article for instructions.

I think my ipod comes from the same generation and it took a while before i got the right information. I have an old version of itunes(plus whatever other software is on the cd) and i think that is what made it work. I got the same error at some point and once it synced with itunes it went through a process to correct the problem. I got the ipod maybe two years ago so the information is sketchy. I synced and reset it i think via windows originally even though i am a linux user but i could not work out how to do it in linux then as i was pretty new to it. Plus the guy at the Apple shop told me it is better to do it in windows. Well they don't know linux. So maybe an older version of itunes might be the clue to solving this? I might have also changed the battery at that time ....
My ipod has been syncing with both windows(itunes) and Linux apps on many machines over the past two years. Anyway if i can think of more info i will let you know.

  • Updating an old classic program to OS 10.4

I am trying to help my sister, who is very resistant to change. She has been using "Easy Grade Pro" for years, running it through the classic environment. But she was forced to upgrade her computer and printer, and is now having problems printing from this program. I am trying to convince her it's time to buy a new version of the program, and stop mucking around with classic. She isn't interested unless all of the data can be converted to the new version. (Understandable!)
According to the Easy Grade Pro manual, after loading the new version, we just start the new program, open the old data, and it will ask if we want to convert. No problem. But I know with my sister, it will become a problem. Something will go wrong, and I'll be to blame.
Since I haven't used classic in a million years, it's been hard for me to try to help her with this. Plus, I'm trying to troubleshoot over the phone, so I can't see what's going on. Anyway, here's my question (finally!)
After we load and start the new OSX version of the program, and we try to open the data file from the old program - how do I find that file? Is there a folder labeled classic, that has all the applications and stuff in it? I will need to be able to give her very good instructions on finding that file.
If this seems like I'm overreacting to something that's probably very simple, I'll just say my sister has a big temper, and it would be a shame for that new mac laptop to go flying across the room when she gets ****** at it.
    Thanks,
    JoAnne

Sisters eh? Glad I never had one, but I know lots of people who have several!
It seems from this web site
    http://www.knowplay.com/teacher/easy-grade-pro.html
that Easy Grade Pro has been available for Apple OS X for ages, in fact ever since OS 10.2.
She could have updated years ago.

  • Replacing my old Classic with a new one

I'm receiving a new Classic iPod for Xmas, and am curious about what to do about deauthorizing the old one. Is that absolutely necessary before hooking up the new one?

Nothing. If you're selling or giving away the old one, restore it in iTunes first.

  • I've got a new iPod touch. How do I transfer songs from my old 'classic' iPod?

So I've got a new iPod touch for Christmas. I want to transfer all the music from my old iPod. I don't store music on my computer, it's just on the iPod. The only solution I can find is to download a program, copy everything from the old one to the computer and then move them to the new one! Seems a lot of work. Is there no official Apple way to just move music across?

Sadly my music collection is too big for the iPod so I gave to pick and choose which songs I want on the iPod at any one time.
    Ah! Well, here's a tip.
Use Smart Playlists to manage your iPod. This does of course mean using Sync to manage your iPod, but since manually managing is so much hard work, Syncing makes more sense...
By creating Smart Playlists, (which can add and remove songs according to rules you choose) you can create a Playlist which will be ever changing and you could then manage your iPod by Syncing Selected Playlists to it. You can experiment with Smart Playlists inside your iTunes Library without causing any irreversible damage. If you decide that you like - and can work with them, then is the time to start using them on your iPod.
    Examples:
Starting with a very basic Smart Playlist: This Playlist would contain all your songs, providing they haven't been played in x days/weeks/months. Look at the following screenshots:
In the shot above, I've created a Smart Playlist with the rule "Playlist is Music". This Playlist will automatically fill with all the songs in my Library, taking up 123.16GB in storage. Now look what happens if I tick the box named "Match only ticked items":
This step was simply to keep my Playlist tidy, i.e. not having music that I don't have on my iPod anyway. Watch what happens though, if I add another rule designed to keep out songs that I've played recently and so don't want to here again for a while:
With this one simple additional rule, my Playlist is reduced from 123GB to just 61.75GB. However, if I only have a 64GB iPod, then even that's too large, so by increasing the number of weeks...
... I reduce the size of the Playlist to a more manageable 51.18GB.
What happens then is that I Sync selected Playlists to my iPod, i.e. this Smart Playlist, which you'll notice I have named "Reduce size Playlist".
I then have 51GB of music on my iPod, which I can then look for (and play) in exactly the same way as before, by Artist, Song, Genre etc.
At the next Sync with your iTunes Library, any songs that have been played recently are removed from the Playlist, while any songs that were last played more than 125 weeks ago are added back to the Playlist and the Playlist on the iPod (and therefore the songs on the iPod) is updated.
Now - that's the basic version. By creating more sophisticated Smart Playlists, you can Sync selected Artists, Albums etc. with your iPod so that any songs that you always want on it are there, while songs you don't cherish so much are only put back on after a while of last playing. For example, you could have five star songs go back on after just two months, four star songs after three months, and so on. If you use Playlists, you can Sync those as well, so that you can play by Playlist if you so wish. You could even keep the Recently Played Playlist on your iPod so that all songs recently played are left on the iPod for two weeks after last being played. If a song gets played again, it stays in the Recently Played Playlist, so it stays on the iPod. But if it doesn't get played for two weeks, it gets removed from the iPod.
If this sounds as though may help you, but you need help with Smart Playlists, you can always ask in this forum.
