Old compuer died; how do i get all my bookmarks to the new computer?
My old computer has crashed. Is there a way I can retrieve my old bookmarks on line and transfer them to my new computer?
Where you using Firefox Sync on the old PC?
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/What+is+Firefox+Sync
If not, were you using something else to store your bookmarks "online"? Like maybe Xmarks or Delicious??
If you weren't using anything for saving /sharing bookmarks online or for "syncing" your bookmarks, they aren't "online".
Do you have the hard drive from the old PC? If so, maybe that hard drive would work long enough for you to be able to access your files on the old drive if it is put in a USB enclosure and plugged into the new PC?
My old PC crashed, how do I get all my bookmarks onto my new PC?
Does Firefox store all my bookmarks somewhere so that I can retrieve them onto my new PC? If not, I have a copy of most of my bookmarks in a folder in Windows Explorer, how do I import them, en mass, to my new bookmarks?
Thanks, but, unless I didn't read the hints correctly, your suggestion did not fit my situation -- my old PC is dead, I can't transfer anything from that physical equipment. I had hundreds of bookmarks on it that are not in my bookmarks on Firefox now. Is there a way to get those bookmarks back?
If not, I do have some bookmarks saved in folders in Windows Explorer, but when I try to import them, it seem to want to import one bookmark at a time instead of import all of them at once. -
I had my ipod synced to an old computer that I no longer have how can i get all my stuff on the new itunes without erasing it
Most Windows users don't.
Purchase an external hard drive and use the backup software that comes with it to backup files from your computer.
Buy TouchCopy and install it on your new computer, connect your old iPod and transfer your songs to your computer. -

I have a new MAC PC with an old IPod Touch that was synch to my old desktop, how do I get the new music on my new MAC if I might have had an old account?
The article in my previous reply said:
- Transfer iTunes purchases from iPod to computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- For non-Tunes purchases you need to use a third-party program. Several are discussed in the link in my previous reply
- Then to sync with the new computer after getting all synced media like apps and music on the new computer yo have to backup the iPod to iTunes and restore from that backup
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes -

my old computer crashed. I bought a new one. I installed Itunes, with a new account. I cannot get my music from my ipod touch to the new computer. It is all music I had downloaded from cd's I have purchased through the years. Every time I try to authorize the new computer, it wants a credit card number for the ITunes store. I don't want to buy more music now, I just want to be able to get my songs in my new computer. This is driving me crazy. any help, since the phone support is not available when I am. Thanks.
The music sync is one wa - copmputer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your comptuer. Use your backup to put everything back -
Our computer crashed last week. We just bought a new one last night and installed a iTunes on to the computer. How do we transfer what we have on our iPods on to the new computer without losing anything
- Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:

- Make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup. -

Okay so my 64G iPhone 4S was stolen about a year and a half ago, it was backed up to my computer and I had used around 50G. I got a new iPhone a year ago but it's only 32G so I didn't have enough space to back it up as my old phone, so how do I get all my memory on my old phone back without having to get a 64G phone? Thanks
No, there is no way to put more content then there is capacity for on the device. As wjosten mentioned, you might be able to edit that backup to remove things to reduce it in size where you could then restore it to the new device, but obviously, everything that you had on the old iPhone will never fit on the new one.
No matter what you do, you are going to end up with less content on the new device then on the old one - there is no way around that fact other than returning the 32GB iPhone and getting a 64GB one. A gigabyte of data is a gigabyte of data, regardless of device, and will require a gigabyte of storage again, regardless of device. -
My computer crashed and I lost everything. It was the only computer with Sync on it and I cannot get my recovery key: how can I get all my bookmarks from that Sync account? I have a ton of bookmarks/saved password and the only way to get on sync is create a new recovery key and lose all of my information.
Is there any way to get my stuff back without creating a new recovery key and losing all my old stuff? It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
