my old computer crashed, cannot back up itunes library onto CD Rom. I have my entire library on my IPOD. can I just plug this in the new computer? want to make sure so I don't lose all of my songs. any help?

How do i get my music from ipod onto new computer when old computer died

my old computer died unexpectedly and now i have a new one ...how do i get my music from ipod to itunes...i don't want to lose it since i have already paid for it...

1). Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to sync automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. iTunes will only let you copy your purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads and including iTunes purchases) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

I recently had to restore my computer of a virus attack, and lost all my music. However my music is on my Ipod. And someone mentioned to use Ipodrip to get it to the computer. But ipodrip failed to work, partially. It got all the songs in, but they weren't named correctly. Only about 4-5, they were named in numbers, like song #1, song #2. How do I make it so that the names come with too?

You'll need to copy the music currently on your iPod to your new PC and into iTunes first before you can sync it to the new iPod.

I can't recommend any of the free ones. They either wouldn't install, or had severe limits not present in the purchased version. My advice is to shell out the $20 bucks.

Can't get my music from ipod onto new computer?

So my iPod has been synced to our desktop, and I have bought some music from my ipod that is not on the desktop. But now i have a new computer and i want my music from my ipod, not the desktop, on the itunes on the new computer, but transfer purchases isn't working. So.. is there a way to transfer from the ipod on to the new itunes? Or can someone at the genius bar do that for me?

First of, in iTunes, select "Store" in the menu and authorize the computer.
Then, when your iPhone is connected right click on it and select "Transfer Purchases", this should move your content from your iPhone to your computer.

Need help getting my songs from iphone4 onto new iphone5

Hi. I am not sure where I am going wrong, but after a dozen Attempts(at least) to sync my iTunes library onto my new iphone5 I am completely stumped. The best I can mange is to access them via 'sharing' when iTunes is open on My Pc and iphone5 is connected via the USB cable. As soon as I turn iTunes off the songs disappear from my phone?

Old computer died. New computer, Installed iTunes on Windows 7. Have iPods in family. Want to get music back from iPods onto computer. Can't figure it ouit. Should not be this hard. Did manage to get purchased downloaded apps. Just can't get music. Any way to do this?
So far, apple help *****. They want money. Docs don't seem to say how to do it. iTunes just wants to wipe out iPod and replace current contents with nothing.

From the menu bar at the top of your screen click Store / Authorize This Computer

I Have a 60Gb VIdeo Pod, that I had linked to my old Powerbook G4, but the computer was taken and I bought a new Mac Mini, I want to know How can I take the Music from my IPod and link it to the new computer without overwriting the files on my IPod, It took me a three days to build my library from old CD's and I don't want to have to go through that again.

Note that I am assuming you're properly licensed to be able to run the app on your new computer. I do not propose doing anything illegal.
With the ollld versions of Photoshop, like the one you have, you can try going through a process like this:
1. Copy the entire c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0 folder to the new computer.
2. Try to run Photoshop on the new computer.
3. Note any "missing DLL" message.
4. Locate the DLL on the old computer (e.g., in C:\Windows\System32 or wherever), and copy it to the same place on the new computer.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until no more "missing DLL" messages present themselves.
There may be other types of messages you'll see. They're usually descriptive enough to be able to determine what it's looking for that it does not have. If you get one you're unsure of how to handle, post it here.

Which kind of Office suites are you working with in your old PC? Office 2013 or Office 365?
For Office 365, check if you are signing in with the right account that you subscribe Office 365.
Login to your Office 365 account page, make sure you have not used up your 5 times to install and activate Office programs. If you do, deactivate certain Office suites and install in your new computer.
For Office 2013, a retail copy of Office can only be installed once at a computer. You can transfer your Office to the new machine by contacting Microsoft Customer Service:

All of your media that you bought from iTunes you can restore by plugging in the iPod and then right clicking on the iPod icon in the iTunes side bar and select "Transfer Purchases from (name of your iPod)"
For songs/movies you ripped yourself:
If you are on a Mac, look up DeTune... Or Senuti...
there are other compatible things for other OSes but you will have to search for them
