Old deleted Podcasts still being listed?

Hi,
I have a pretty annoying issue with deleted podcasts: I usually have a save and sound way of getting rid of old podcasts: After they are being played, they get deleted automatically with the next refresh (standard settings). However, I have about four podcast episodes that are a few months old that keep showing up on my Apple TV3 (under Computer -> Podcasts), but not in my regular Podcasts view on iTunes on my Mac.
Now when I create a smart playlist with all my podcasts, these old deleted episodes show up there, but I obviously cannot delete them from iTunes and I also can't delete them manually, since they don't exist anymore.
Now I've read before, that one potential option is to start a new library, but having a really big library, I am afraid, this may be a very long and messy process. Is there any other way?

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.

Just got my BlackBerry Pearl Flip this month and pretty new to the device.  I recently just noticed that even though my mp3 files has been deleted on my media card, it is still being listed in my BlackBerry.  Then when I try to do a delete of the song from the BlackBerry itself, it just gives me "File System error".  This song list info must be somehow cached in the device memory.  Is there anyway to tell the BlackBerry to clear the info completely and re-index the song list?
The "cache" memory still has those in the memory. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Look again now.

  • How do I delete podcasts from my list, how do I delete podcasts from my list

How do I delete podcasts from my list after they are deleted from my hard drive?  Some old ones have been deleted but the ones since February are still in my list waiting to be downloaded once again.  There are 2 delete options and I'm wondering which one to use.  It no longer gives me an option to delete from my hard drive.  After deleting from my list.  It seems to delete from my hard drive and then sits there.
I would like to use automatic delete, but I need to know if I can change that to 'Save' during the 24 hour period after I'm done listening to the podcast.
This morning everything came back in.  I noticed the settings at the top were all changed to d/l all instead of just 1.  I'm confused about this whole thing and cannot find anything in the way of a tutorial on the Apple/iTunes web site.

Swipe left-to-right across the podcast, hit delete.

  • Deleted Podcasts keep being downloaded again, and again, and again

iTunes seems to want me to keep listening to old podcasts.
Since the last update, old, long-deleted podcasts keep being re-downloaded as new whenever the podcasts are refreshed (either manually or automatically). I spend a good 15 minutes going through and deleting them. Later that day, iTunes downloads all of them again.
I've had this program in the past but it was working alright for awhile. Now, since the last update of iTunes, it is back.
A recurring theme with iTunes in particular and Apple OS in general that updates tend to bring back problems that were fixed previously.
Can we just get this to work? I don't have time to keep re-deleting this and iTunes wants to download far more old podcasts than I have room for on my iPhone.

    Rebuild your Mail index:
    1. Quit Mail if it's running.
    2. Go to Home/Library/Mail and delete the Envelope Index file.
    3. Restart Mail and wait for it to import your existing messages. When it's done, your emails should be back to normal again.

  • Dropped/recreated SQL jobs and now SQL Agent can't run b/c old job_id is still being referenced by the Agent.

I've seen a common issue in several of our production environments where after we upgrade our software the SQL Agent can't run some jobs that were recreated as part of the process because they're referencing the old job_id (in msdb.dbo.sysjobs) that no longer
exists.  I can fix it easily enough by restarting the agent as this will flush whatever cache is being used by the Agent but I'd like a less invasive way to do this, if possible.
Is there any way to flush the cache used by the SQL Agent to store job_ids without having to restart it?  Thanks.

You may try this , and this solves this issue.. I hope if you do this then you no need to restart the agent...
    DECLARE @jobId binary(16)
    SELECT @jobId = job_id FROM msdb.dbo.sysjobs WHERE (name = N'Name of Your Job')
    IF (@jobId IS NOT NULL)
    BEGIN
    EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_delete_job @jobId
    END
    DECLARE @ReturnCode int
    EXEC @ReturnCode = msdb.dbo.sp_add_job @job_name=N'Name of Your Job'

If not saved from Photo Stream, no, it's gone.
Photo Stream is temporary storage only.

  • Can't up date applications because of old apple ID still is listed in application sign in sceen

    can't update applications

Apps are forever tied to the ID they are purchased with. If you used an old ID to purchase them, that is the ID you have to use.
If you no longer have access to that ID, there is nothing else you can do besides repurchase with the new ID.

  • Deleted Entry Still Being Seen by SSO

Whenever I delete an entry using ODM I find that I need to bounce my OC4J_SECURITY in order for the change to be known. It seems like OC4J_SECURITY has a cache that is stale and needs to be flushed.
I have not been able to find anything to do in lieu of the bounce yet. While I continue to search, I thought I would check to see if anyone else has seen and knows a way around having to bouce the SSO.

    Hi,
You may want to look at Metalink Note:292380.1 - How to Refresh Cache for OID Parameters. The article basically talks about clearing the cache for OID paramters in Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4).
If I am correct, mod_plsql caches some of the SSO information. I am not sure if OC4J_SECURITY caches some of this information.

You can delete that backup. You won't lose anything, as it's from an old iPhone and you are not taking files from that backup because your iPhone is being backed up to a different backup

  • HT3842 iTunes 11.1.0.126 - Every subscribed podcast in my list view is now populated by every old episode ever published by that podcast. Next to it is a cloud download symbol. These cannot be deleted which completely clutters my lists and makes them extr

Just downloaded the latest version of iTunes - iTunes 11.1.0.126. Even though I was already subscribed to all of my podcasts, there was a new Subscribe button next to each one. So, I clicked them. Now, every podcast in my list view is populated by every old episode ever published by that podcast. Worse, they cannot be deleted using my Delete key. Next to each old podcast is a cloud download symbol. My list view is now completely cluttered, making them extraordinarily long to scroll down through. Anyone know how to get rid of this major annoyance?

You have to pay to subscribe to iMatch to be able to delete.

    Hello steveod2
The main thing to do is to sign out all services on your iPhone, like iCloud, iTunes & App Store, iMessage and FaceTIme. Check out the article below for more information.

  • Deleted podcasts in Finder, still show up in iTunes, how to remove?

Well, I rummaged a bit in the old threads and found some stuff... but I'm looking for a simple solution. I'd like to delete from iTunes all the podcasts that I had deleted via the Finder.
I can figure out which ones if I laboriously, manually, click play and am then prompted that iTunes can't find it. What a drag! When I do that, it changes the symbol to a !.
The problem is that I thought Refresh would do fix everything! Instead that changed all those ! to solid buttons! So, I'm in worse shape than before!
Is there any way of asking to iTunes to double check its own list and delete anything from its listing that it can't find?

For some reason I couildn't edit my previous post! Hmm.. don't know why.
In any event... I tried Remove Dead Tracks. At first, I thought it doesn't distinguish between podcasts that are listed but haven't been downloaded yet and tunes that have been deleted from the finder but are still listed!
It was reporting 91 dead tracks, but I've only deleted a handful via the finder. (Well, so I thought. It's pretty clear on further inspection that I had, in fact, deleted that many-- I had deleted one folder of dozens upon dozens of 1 minute shows.
So, I'll have to try it in the future if this happens again... though it doesn't give the option to delete them one at a time, but rather says it will delete them all-- just like Super Remove!
    Still, appreciate your help!

  • Deleting old unsubscribed podcasts

    Hey,
I have a 60GB 5G Video Ipod and subscribe to many podcasts. I have stopped subscribing to some but for some reason the name of the podcast still appears on my ipod. There are the names of Podcasts that I have deleted along time ago but still are on the iPod podcast libary, not the itunes libary.
The names also don't appear on the "summary" menu only on the ipod itself. Not a big deal but a bit annoying,
    thanks

There is a couple ways to have iTunes remove old podcasts and they all depend on how you kept the podcasts in the first place.
    1) select the group of podcasts and then click "Allow auto delete" then on the next refresh of your list iTunes will automattically remove these podcasts from your system
    2) change the subscription settings for that podcast by selecting the title of the podcast in your list and going to "Settings" at the bottom of your screen and you can then set it to keep only the most <blank> podcasts, all podcasts or all unplayed podcasts
    3) the method suggested by Roger

  • Podcasts Still in Folder Even After Deleting

Hi, I'm having a problem with itunes retaining podcasts, even after I delete them. I always click the option "Move to Recycle Bin," but a recent cruise through my itunes folder under My Music revealed that many of the supposedly deleted podcasts are still there. This has happened several times, and it gets to the point where I run out of hard drive space if I don't go to the folder and delete the old podcasts. I understand that this should only happen if I click on "Keep Files," so why is this happening even though I tell it to delete the episodes? It seems to be just random ones, too, with no rhyme or reason to whether it decides to keep an episode I told it to delete or not. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

"Move to Recycle Bin" doesn't work if the file is active; that is, if you have just finished listening to it and it is still the active track in iTunes with the little speaker icon next to it. Start to play something else, then go back and delete it. That's probably what's happening.
A less likely reason is that you had moved the podcast file from where iTunes deposited it. ITunes can only erase files that are in the +iTunes Music+ folder to begin with. So if you downloaded the file in iTunes the moved it, or (this just occured to me) got the file from some other means and imported it to iTunes without saving it to the +iTunes Music+ folder, iTunes won't move it to the RB.
