Old Elements 2.0

Trying to install an old PS Elements 2.0 I had on a PC to my new iMac, this is what happens......
1) Insert disc
2) Select "English"
3) Select VISE "Install Photoshop Elements"
4) Select "US English" click "Continue"
5) This message pops up no matter which language I choose in step #4:
Sie mussen als Administrator angemeldet sein, um dieses Produkt zu installieren. SchlieBen Sie alle Anwendungen, melden Sie sich ab, und melden      Sie sich erneut als Administrator an. Fuhren Sie dann das Installationsprogramm aus.
I then click "OK" on bottom of window which takes me immediately back to step #3

If your new imac is running 10.5 or 10.6, PSE 2 isn't compatible. It's too outdated.

If it's not possible to uninstall via the Windows control panel, you can try to do it manually:

How do I transfer mny old photos that were on Elements11 to my new Elements #12?

I had service work done on my computer, and in the process they deleted

  • Overwrite existing collection field:: shouldn't it delete old elements

I call a setter method and wholly replace a collection field of a
persistent object with an entirely new collection. (the collection is
made up of other persistence-capable objects).
I'm not seeing the old collection contents removed from the DB, infact,
they remain and the collection just grows.
I've marked the collection as "element-dependent" and that didn't work
    either.
How is this supposed to work?

Sorry, I did not read enough to realize that "dependent" says that if the
field in the parent class is nulled, then the object is deleted. So I
    think I have my answer.
    Thank you for your help.

Is there any way to set up Kodo (2.5.4) to delete "child" objects when

No. Your best bet is to mediate access to the Collection that will also
delete the instance when the element is removed. E.g.,
    public void deleteElementFromMyCollection (Object ob)
    myCollection.remove (ob);
    JDOHelper.getPersistenceManager (ob).deletePersistent (ob);

    My
guess is that you are not setting both sides of the relation. I.e.if
you have a collection of people, each of whom have a reference totheir
company, you should also set the people's company to null as well as
    removing the set.

  • Old elements instilation on new computer

I have an old version of elements that I'm trying to load onto my new computer but it says I must mave internet explorer 4 or above (which I do on the new computer) then it automatically closes. What can I do to install it? Many thanks

Found this on a link <https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/adobe.photoshop.elements/2VjAHlXDOEs>-
    "Navigate to registry key: Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software \Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion \App Paths \IEXPLORE.EXE.
If this key does not exist, create a new key in App Paths named IEXPLORE.EXE
Within the IEXPLORE.EXE key please make two changes:
    1. Open the default string and enter “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” (please note this path is for Windows Xp only)
    2. Create a new string called "Path" then double click on the new string and enter the following path "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer:". Make sure you have the ":" at the end.
When finished you can close regedit and start with the installation.
    •        Please note: quotes “” are used to give exact entries."
Though I have not tried this but you might just want to give it a try.
    Thanks

  • How can I use JPEG-2000 images with my old Elements 2.0?

Is there a plug-in or other step that will allow me to work with JPEG-2000 images using my Elements 2.0 software?

I do apologize, as i should have asked what operating system you were using.
Anyway, It looks like that plugin is to new for pse 2 on the mac side.
I believe it only works in pse 6 and newer, though they used to have older versions, there doesn't seem to be any links to them.
You should remove that plugin and for future reference, plugins/filters should go in the Plug-Ins folder, not in the photoshop elements 2.0 application package.
Are you able to open the jpeg 2000 files in the Preview application?

  • How do i convert old elements places tags to elements 12 places tags?

I have spent over 10 years organizing almost 9000 photos and videos using Adobe Photoshop Album and Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer.
I recently upgraded to Elements 12, and I am trying to tag my vacation photos. I tried to add a new Places tag. That resulted in me becoming extremely aggravated.
I had created dozens of places tags in several categories of places. I used a logical approach for organizing places, instead of using a strict geographical hierarchy.
Now Elements 12 will only let me add new Places tags by searching a Google map, and the new tags are forced against my will into a strict geographical hierarchy. So, while that is not what I'm used to, it at least makes sense.
Where I get really aggravated is that Elements 12 does not provide any way to upgrade all my existing tags to the new hierarchy. I can go to each existing Places tag and associate it with a map location, but it does not move (or allow me to copy/move) it to the new strict geographical hierarchy. So, as I move forward with Elements Organizer, I'm stuck with part of my collection tagged with my pre-12 scheme and the other part tagged with your 12-onward scheme. It will get to be very confusing when I go to tag photos and I have dig back and forth between the two schemes to find the tag to use. Why was it so critically important to not let long-term, loyal customers keep doing it the way they have been doing it for so many years????

It not be so bad if Adobe's geo-hierarchy was consistent with itself. However when I created some British place tags, some counties (e.g. Cornwall) were placed within the England tag, whereas other counties (Derbyshire, North Yorkshire) were placed one level up, within the United Kingdom tag.  They should all be within England (within United Kingdom), or they should all be within United Kingdom, which would make the England tag redundant. Some other towns and villages that I added, did not get their county-level tag at all, and are consequently "children" of the England tag. It really is nonsensical.

  • Find Download for old elements and premier 11

I have a new computer and am trying to get my Adobe Photoshop ellements and premier 11 on it.  I had no problem finding my Lightroom download, but haven't been able to find the elements and premier 11 to down load.  Is there a trick?

if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-11-direct-download-links-pse-premiere-pre.htm l
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • I had a virus and my old elements 2.0 needed to be reinstalled but wont install

A message comes up when i try to install missing UID.MR.DLL i have ordered adobe element 7 will same problem appear when i install elements 7 ?

If you suspect a virus you should run a full scan using your anti-virus software.
In the meantime, try resetting the photoshop elements preferences by
holding down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys at the same time you start the elements editor
and then click yes in the dialog that follows.

  • PhotoShop Elements 4  on old XP drive  I want  it all on new harddrive using W7

    I started this off but
I gave wrong info and completely confused every one especially myself.
I updated my computer and installed a new hard drive now my C drive. W7
All my photos with all the necessary information is on the old hard-drive XP
All I want to do is bring every thing across to my new Hard drive which uses W7
I have the original CD of APE4.0
I am far from a whiz kid but I can follow a step by step instruction providing it is clearly laid out.
I also have all the photos in MS My Pictures. in W7
OR do you think I should contact Adobe Technical Service per Phone for help.
OR do I to buy the latest Elements that will  work with W7 and what ever comes after that and transfer all my photos from  My Pictures
This will be my Aussie winter project.   I am not worried about the cost.     In fact I would gratefully pay some on to do it for me if I could find some one locally
I still would love to be able to view my old Elements 4 to get some information from some of the photos if that is possible.
    Thanking you in advance
    Keith

    More Confusion
All  the photos are only on my "E"  drive in  "My Pictures"    which was my original XP "C"  Drive
They were supposed to be moved across (By computer installation technician) to the new "C" drive but were not
I do have a short cut to them on my desk top.    Please dont ask me how I done that because I just cannot remember.
W7 has a fantastic search and there is no Adobe elements there at all   But there is the Elements how to etc which make me think it is there some where  but where??????? is the big question.
I know I found that big file but how and where ???????????

  • How to move plug-ins from old to new elements?

I just purchased and downloaded elements 11. How do I move my Topaz and OnOne plugins from my old elements 10 to my new 11?
Also I am having an error 1316.A when trying to uninstall elements 10; got rid of editor but not organizer; what should I do to overcome the error problem and uninstall 10?

    Hi,
    Uninstallation problem-
In order to run the cleaner tool you don't need to uninstall 11. Simply run the cleaner tool and it will ask which version to remove.
there is a post related to this uninstalltion problem http://forums.adobe.com/message/3957703
    Plugins issue-
First copy the plugins folder of topaz and OnOne and paste it on pse 11 plug-in folder after pse 11 installtion . If this will working fine don't need to get help from Topaz and OnOne.
    Tags issue-
Uninstallation does not do with catalogues , after installion pse 11 it convert the catalogue as it with tags and star-ratings ,
if you feel still some tools (like-cs5 cleaner )hamper your catalogue make a backup of it

I need to uninstall downloaded version of Elements 12 on a computer, then install Elements 12 on the same computer directly from a disk. Elements 11 was previously used on same computer, and the albums and library had been moved to the first installation of 12, which I am removing. How do I correctly unstall the old Elements 12, and install the new elements 12 from disk, and retain all albums and libraries from the old Elements 12?

You're welcome.  It was not an answer, it was a question, and it could lead to being helpful if you explain why you think you need to uninstall.
As far as uninstalling goes, you will uninstall it like you do for any program, which depends on what kind of operating system you have.  If you wish to retain albums and whatnot, maybe the following link can provide some guidance.
