Old email on used Blackberry

Hi all!
I'm trying to help out a friend taht just bought a blackberry off of a used BB seller on Ebay. The device came in and it appears to be in great shape, and I helped him set it all up on his Enterprise Server at work. I did a "Wipe Handheld" first before doing anything, and during the process, I wound up doing it a second time. It syncs with his Enterprise Server jsut fine.
The problem we're having is it came with a gmail address from, I presume, the previous owner configured on it. Surprisingly enough, when I wiped the handheld, the address account re-appearedd!   i've gone into email set up to try and delete that email, but it doesn't appear on the list at all. I've even wiped the handheld a 3rd time,and it reappears every time.
My friend is going to try and email the seller, but in the event he won'[t do anything, does anyone have any ideas on how I can get rid of that email address on his Blackberry Bold?  He even tried emailing it and the reply he got was in Spanish...he nor I know spanish and we don't kow anyone that does.

Wiping the handheld indeed does nothing to wipe out a configured BIS account. The reason is that the configuration for this email address is not on the HH...rather, it is within the BIS system of the former owners carrier. You must get in touch with them and have them contact their carrier, close their BIS account, and have the carrier release the PIN from their BIS. Then a BIS account could be created on the new carriers system, in which personal email accounts can be configured.

    Go into the Settings> and then tap on Mail contacts and calendars.
    One that screen tap on the email account you want to delete. On the next screen at the bottom it should give you the options to "Delete Account" in red. Tap on that and delete the account from your iPad.

    Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
    You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
    So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

    If you need to change the iCloud ID on your phone, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
    To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account.  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

    I have a pop-up that will not let me do anything. I am asked to enter the Apple ID password for an old email. I have since changed to a new email and have a new password that works on my computer and has been updated.

    If your old email was used on a website, it may still come up.  
    If it is related to your Apple ID, then you may not have signed out before changing your ID.

    Every time I start up my Mac I get this pop-up asking for the password to iCloud. When it comes up, it wants me to log in under an old email I used to use. I can't change the email when prompted. Anyone know how to fix this?

    The iPhone is linked to the iCloud account and Find My iPhone
    The device can display a different Apple ID or iCloud account then it's linked to.
    The way to check this is iCloud.com
    Get signed in with you Apple ID/iCloud account and password
      Select the Find My iPhone
      Select the "All Devices"
      Select the device
      Wipe and remove it from the account
      Restore the device

    Old emails, in what manner? As in previous to installing the account on this device?
    Did you use the Device Switch Wizard found in the BlackBerry Desktop Software?
    How did you move your old emails over from the old device to the new?

  • Blackberry 8800 receiving thousands of old emails

    Hi, i am experiencing a bizarre issue where my work's blackberry is receiving thousands of old emails. Currently there are 8500 emails in the inbox! It is making the blackberry unusable because it is constantly receiving emails.
    We used a Blackberry 8800 with BIS and Exchange Server 2003.
    I've tried deleting the account from my Carrier's (o2) Internet Service site (which forwards all our exchange server's emails) to the blackberry but this hasn't stopped it. I have tested another email account we have on the exchange server and that has worked fine and only delivers those messages that it should do.
    My carrier is saying that it is our exchange server and something specific to this email address (which it could be). Has anybody else had this or knows what to do on exchange server or with the carrier to get it resolved?
    It seems as if the marker perhaps on the exchange server or the BIS that tells which messages are "new" has gone wrong and needs changing but i don't know where in Exchange Server or BIS this could be.
    I've searched this and other forums and there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer on it.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I am facing problems of a similar kind.
    I have realized that I am kissing my emails from the yahoo account (from the inbox as well as stored emails from the folders). Some of the massages were recently stored some were stored while ago. I have contacted yahoo, they were checking the account and finally they have come to conclusion that it's most likely that the problems of loosing emails are caused by the mobile device. And it's true - this is something I didn't tell yahoo gays, but I have realized the emails are vanishing from the foleders once I was trying to reach them from my iPhone.
    I am using iPhone 3GS with the lasted version of iOS 4.
    If by ugrading I can restore my emails, then I would do this immediately.
    What is the performance of your iPhone 3GS with iOS 5...?

  • How do I change my Apple ID to use my @me email address instead of my old email address?

    Hi,
    I recently started to use iCloud and have therfore now got an @me email address. I have managed to make it my primary email address but it won't let me make it my Apple ID even though there is an option to make your primary email address one of the same.
    When I try it says "You cannot create an Apple ID using a MobileMe account. If this is your email address, it is also your Apple ID."
    I can log in to Apple using my @me email address but it displays my old, not in use any more, email address and it really annoys me.
    Does any one know how I can get it to use only my @me address and completely forget my old one?

    There is a lot of confusion about Apple ID and I think this has come about mainly becuase Apple introduced .Me Accounts. Prior to that there was only .Mac. My iCal and Contacts were syncing fine until I visited "Manage Your Apple ID" I was prompted to change my Apple ID and Primary Email Address. After doing so I lost the syncing between devises as my iCloud on my iPhone was set to my .Me account and my MacBook Pro to .Mac.
    Once you've changed your Apple ID and Primary Email Addressto .Mac you can't seemingly go back to .Me which I think is crazy. My work around has been to delete my iCloud Account on my iPhone and then set it up again using my .Mac Account. I now have to do the same on my MBP.
    A word of caution before making any changes always make sure your iCal and Contacts info. are backed-up!

    The problem with those two apps is that they are supposed to be in your Apple ID and you didn't set up the Mac properly/completely when you got it.
    You might try deleteing them and using OS X Recovery to install them again.

    After that, before you open any iLife apps go to your Mac App Store account, to the Purchased pane and Accept them into your account.

    Now when I go to App store on my iPad it still tries to login to the App store using the old email address I had associated with the account, and naturally my password doesn't work. I can't figure out how to tell my iPad to login using the updated email address.
    So in effect I'm locked out of the app store and I currently have 26 updates waiting.
    I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my IPad to iCloud with no luck.. However I cloud happens to show the correct/updated email address.
    Does anyone know how to resolve this?

    Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.
