Old firmware is too new in WRT150n??

Hallo Forumreaders,
I bought a new router/AP in a shop a long time ago; a WRT150n ver. 1.1.
Was just looking on this website for some tips and more.
On the supportpage of Linksys/Cisco at the product of the WRT150n, I read about some firmware.
The latest firmware for hardware ver. 1.1 is version 1.01.9 form 07/11/2007
Strange!!!. Because I have notting change in my router and it displays "Firmware Version: v1.51.3" at the right topcorner of the web interface and on the "Status"-page; "v1.51.3 Jun 15, 2007".
The router is just installed right-"out of the box", no firmware has ever been updated/changed.
Can anybody tel me how this is possible?

Yes,you are right..I guess the linksys website is not updated.....However,it's good that you have the latest firmware installed on the router.

Upgrade to the latest firmware (Although that is a few years old on the 186s) Also, make sure to disable the second port if you're not using it.

Does anyone have an older version of the firmwre, as Cisco has conveniently removed all older releases of the firmware and only has a utility so I can not load the software via the router.

You would need to contact SBSC and ask for firmware 1.1.14.

Zen NX reverted to old firmware - won't display new firmwa

I upgraded my firmware quite a long time ago on my Zen NX. I was having trouble recently getting creative mediasource to recognize my player on my new computer (still haven't figured that one out), so I went through all the usual stuff where you clean up and reboot and all that. Well, after the reboot the player was displaying the old firmware with the scroll down menus rather than the graphic tabs (and with a few extra bugs too like when I turn it on now it always goes to the menu screen with volume set on '7' and will often say "add tracks to playlist" when there are already tracks in the playlist). I've reloaded, erased again, loaded again, cleaned up, rebooted and it STILL displays the old format firmware (and the little bugs appear to still be there too). Any ideas other than format the player?

The "tabs" view is an option on the player's setup menu - figured it out!

I had the same problem with my iPad, i couldn't get the newer version of itunes because the computer was too old and my iPad couldnt sync with the old itunes. I got a PC from school a few months later so that solved the problem for me. Unfortunately i don't think there would be a program to put your music on your iPod, iTunes should be the only way to transfer files to Apple devices. What operating system are you running and what version of it is it?

Crash during upload new or old firmware into AP1200

After downloading new firmware from cisco.com
i try to load him into AP1200,
but process was interupted at boot phase with new firmware.
Bootloader print this:

And now i can`t run ANY new or old firmware.
Only load into AP, not run.
I try some new and old version firmware with same result!

I tried to upgrade firmware from VxWorks 12.00T to IOS version
with downloaded image: AP1200-Cisco-IOS-Upgrade-Image-v1.img
After executing steps, such as written in manual for this image,
my AP goes down, and now a i can get access to AP with CONSOLE
CABLE only.
Now only bootstrap work, and i tried to run some old images,
but bootstrap can't run it!

Is it possible for the software to be too new to restore from old iPod's backup?

So I tried to restore my new iPod from my old iPod's backup, but the old one was working on iOS 5.1 and the new one was an older software.
It said it could not restore the new one from the backup of the old one because the software was too old, but the only option is to update it to iOS 5.1.1.. will it still say it is not compatible now because the new one is too new and the old one is too old? :/

If you update your iPod to iOS 5.1.1, you'll be able to restore the iPod to a backup from any iPod with current or older software.
To put it simpler, you can update your new iPod to the latest iOS and restore your old iPod's data.

How do I know which iTunes area to use to transfer info from my old iPhone to my new iPhone? There are too many iTune areas specific for music or movies, etc. none specified for iPhone transfers.

Thanks for your reply but maybe it would be helpful if you could elaborate a bit on that or maybe I was not clear enough in my question. What I need to do is NOT stop using icloud. But gather everything that is already stored in my old icloud account (X) and save it in my device (iphone, ipad etc) and then continue using icloud but with my new account (Y).
In a scheme:

Step 1) data from X -> independent device data, and then the X account is removed from the device while the data stays.
Step 2) account Y is added to the device.
Step 2 continued) now the device has a. "the independent device data" that was drawn from the account X and b. the litte piece of data from Y that I have already created.
Step 3) independent device data -> data in account Y (along with everything that is created from now on, and everything that has been stored there. The little piece mentioned above.) Everything should now be merged in Y. Merged in a "good" way. Not overwritten, not deleted etc. Nothing should be lost (old or new, from the device or from X or from Y).
The last step is kind of optional. If the best I can get is having data associated to Y (future and past) AND "independent device data" that is so independent to the point that it cannot be added to my Y account since icloud recognizes and stores only data that is created after the account's addition to the device, then I can deal with that.
I hope I cleared everything out.
I need my notes and pages documents from my old icloud account to become independent device data and just stick to the device. And then, if possible, be uploaded to my new icloud account.

I actually managed to fix it before reading your message. I had serious troubles updating the firmware via the firewire connection, but it worked when I switched to USB ..
The thing I was afraid of was that it wasn't gonna work because I had inserted a new HD (the old one broke... my fault... dropping the player one time too many) and therefore had no firmware at all installed.
But at least now I don't need to look for the old firmware.

Click setup as a new device
Immediately unplug your phone from the computer
Give it about 30 seconds and iTunes will give a message (I don’t remember the specific, but regarding you unplugging the device and it not completing)
Plug your phone back in
Viola! no restore occurred and you can access everything again

If you purchased all songs in the iTunes Store, plug your iPod to your Mac or PC and iTunes will ask you to transfer purchases.

HT1420 How to authorize an old purchase on a new ID, but do not have old ID information.

What if you bought music/videos/games on one ID that you no longer use and don't have to account information anymore, BUT you want to authorize those items bought on old ID on your new ID. How you one do that?
About four years ago my old laptop crashed and I lost all of my music, games, videos, etc, from my iTunes. Recently I was able to get all of my music and videos off of my iPod classic. Most of the music I had on my iPod was ripped from personal CD’s but a handful of my music and videos I did buy off of iTunes and I cannot play those due to having a different computer/iTunes account. How can I get these items that I purchased to play on my new computer/iTunes account? When I try to play anything that was bought from iTunes on my old computer it tells me to authorize use on this. The problem is that an old username that comes up and I am unable to access that account anymore. It is a very old email address that is long gone. So, how do I fix this so I can get my media? A playlist is, of course, just a listing of music tracks, or did you want to copy the music too? You do not transfer that from iPod to iPod, you synch the iPod to the same library used with the first one.

Now, about your problem.
If your iPod is 8GB, then it is not a 3rd generation Touch - no matter who they are and no matter who said it was! If it has model number A1288 etched into the casing on the back, then that identifies the 2nd gen Touch. (Yes, there is a 4th gen Touch in 8Gb capacity, but still no 8GB 3rd gen - ever). The third generation is model No. A1318.

Even more confusing is; Now i can't do anything with this because too many apps require IOS >4.2.1 because -
a 2nd generation Touch (including the 8GB) can install iOS 4.2.1 But that's as high as it can go. So that's incorrect!
you can still use any App that doesn't require a higher iOS than you have. So still incorrect!
you can still use it as a music player, so guess what, wrong again!
