  • Old Hyperion Developer Network

    Hi,
    Does anybody where the old Hyperion Developer Network can now be found.
    The old site is now redirecting to the OTN but I cannot find any of the Essbase utilities which were available on the HDN.
    Many Thanks.
    Sebastien

    Oracle is a little different then Hyperion, in some ways a lot better, but since they are bigger they also have more lawyers and I think the idea of having "utilities" on an Oracle website, implies that Oracle endorses the utilities. Since many of these were written by users with no formal testing, if someone were to use them in an Enterprise environment and take out a NOC, Oracle would look pretty foolish, and be subject to legal action. Now I'm exaggerating, but the point is we live in litigious society and the lawyers make the rules, so until Oracle has had a chance to go through and figure out a way to put the utilities out there without exposing themselves to legal recourse, I think we're going to have to wait. I'm told they are working on it, hopefully it will be soon.

    Hi,
    Use the below code to load and play an audio:
    import flash.events.Event;
    import flash.events.ProgressEvent;
    import flash.media.Sound;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    var s:Sound = new Sound();
    s.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, onLoadProgress);
    s.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoadComplete);
    s.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, onIOError);
    /* testAudio.mp3 is located at the same path where the .swf file is placed */
    var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest("testAudio.mp3");
    s.load(req);
    function onLoadProgress(event:ProgressEvent):void {
        var loadedPct:uint =  Math.round(100 * (event.bytesLoaded / event.bytesTotal));
        trace("The sound is " + loadedPct + "% loaded.");
    function onLoadComplete(event:Event):void {
        var localSound:Sound = event.target as Sound;
         /* Play the audio */
        localSound.play();
    function onIOError(event:IOErrorEvent) {
        trace("The sound could not be loaded: " + event.text);
    For better understanding of Sound Class refer the link :

    For how to load a file from SD in AIR 2.5 for Android :

    var file:File = File.documentsDirectory.resolvePath("music/testAudio.mp3");
    if (file.exists) {
         trace(file.url);
         s.load(new URLRequest(file.url));

  • I Can't Remove My Old iWeb '06 Website From the Web.

    I can't remove my old iWeb '06 website, I have delete the original website files in my iDisk and even published a new website using iweb '08, but I can still go to the old website URL as well as the new one.
    I have read the apple support pages on removing websites and unpublished website and none of them are of any help because my old website does not exist in iweb '08.
    How do I eradicate my old site so nothing is left of it anymore and I have the space back on my iDisk.

    I would prefer not to announce the URL to the world on this forum, but I can say the old website still starts with the standard .Mac URL http://web.mac.com/username/iWeb and the new one until I set up to use my own domain was the same I believe.
    Empty the Cache has no effect I can still go to the URL and explore the various pages.
    I do not think that the .Mac websites are hosted from the iDisk location as I have defiantly deleted them from my iDisk and I have rechecked every file in the iDisk for any sign of them also my new iWeb '08 website never appeared in the iDisk. I would presume that the .Mac websites are hosted from a particular location on the Apple servers and I need to some how pull them off separately because publishing another new site with iWeb '08 has just left me with two sites and the old one remains and does not exist in iWeb '08 so I can unpublish it.

    I am a Macbook user Lion OS X 10.7.5 …have been using Target, Walgreens, Shutterfly, etc. for 5 years with photo developing.  Recently cannot use any of these photo websites because of the "Plug In Failure" error..which I have never had.  Have updated adobe flash player..still to no avail.  Suggestions?  Thank you.

    You need to do a "clean install": http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1267823
    That'll remove the old plug-in completely.
    Works 99% of the time.

  • Old business, New Website design problem

    I am attempting to build an entirely new website for an old business using Dreamweaver MX. (version 6).  I want a very basic site on which to advertise my menu and to which I can post a few pictures. Obviously, I want it somewhat professional looking (we're in an extremely small community in Upper Michigan), but I haven't a clue where to begin.  I have the basic (first) page posted, but I cannot get it to display the only image I have for it yet.  Help, please?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Is it possible to retrieve an old expired iweb website?

    Dear all,
    I have an old iWeb that comes along iLife I purchased torgether with my white macbook in 2006. I haven't backed-up my data on that website so when my macbook crashed in 2010, I lost all the data in my laptop. I could still access my website though at that time. But when my subscription ended I lost interest in renewing it until Apple barred access to it sometime in 2012. I could no longer find it when I type my website's address. Is it possible to request Apple for me to have access to my old website? I heard that they keep a copy of it. I just realize there was so much info and photos I put on it from my 4 years of travelling. I simply regret not saving all those when I still had the chance.
    I hope someone from this community can help me with the information I need.
    Many thanks!
    Cy

    Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing that you can do about this now - it comes down to being 2 years too late!!
    All people with MobileMe accounts and websites hosted on MobileMe were informed that MobileMe was closing by e-mail up to a year beforehand, so that they had ample time to retrieve their sites and make alternative hosting arrangements by signing up with a new web host.
    Once MobileMe closed, Apple kept websites for a short time afterwards, but this time was limited and now everything has been deleted from the servers and Apple do not keep webistes.  Anything not claimed and retrieved has been deleted long since, so unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing that you can do.
    Rather than just thinking about saving and retrieving, you should have done something about it whilst you had the chance because now there is absolutely nothing that you can do about this and there is no way to get your webiste or any of your data back again.  You will have to start again from scratch by re-building.
    I would suggest that if you decide to re-build your site that you get new software with which to do so - take a look at EverWeb at http://www.everwebapp.com - this is the most like iWeb that you will get.  Other alternatives out there are RapidWeaver, Sandvox, Freeway Pro/Express 6, WebAcappella 4, and Flux 4.
    You will also need to register a domain name and also get a hosting account with a web host so that you can load your site to a server.

  • Developing Website

    Hi
    I want to develop a small website using Java,JSP,Java Servlet, Tomcat and mySQL database.
    I can do the coding but not sure how to start. Can anyone pls suggest me any book and send me any example pls.
    Thanks

    Most of what you need is on the Tomcat website under jakarta.apache.org. Once you've installed Tomcat there are example applications on there.

  • Getting a old published iweb website into my new IWEB

    I created a website a year ago on I-Web 08 and published it on mobile me. The site is still published and working on mobile me. I had my hard drive go down. I did manage to back up most of the drive except the system and preferences. After getting a new drive, I installed 09 on the new internal drive. How do I get all the previous work (content) back into I-Web so I can work on the site once again ? There does not seem to be a way of extracting all the work I did and

    If you did not back up your System library and preferences, did you manage to back up your User Library?
    If so, then your domain file, which you need is located under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. Find this file and double click it and iWeb will open it.
    If you don't have it, then there is nothing that you can do except re-build your site - iWeb is unable to import.

  • Still Using OLD SQL Developer - Concerns about Direction / Quality

    I've been an avid user and supporter of SQL Developer for a little over a year now; prior to that I was a Quest TOAD advocate and had been for about 10 years. I use the tool every day, primarily for object browse and PL/SQL development and debugging. I'm a DBA so I don't do a lot of development, but I really like the functionality offered in SQL Developer and find that it's a great supplement to my SQL*Plus command-line scripts. However, I'm still using v1.0.0.15.57 and don't feel like I have much incentive to update. Each time a new release comes out I get hopeful and check out the release notes, but it always seems that there are more problems introduced than bugs fixed. I have been a vocal advocate of the tool here, working to replace aging products like TOAD and SQL Navigator and singing the praises of a community-developed product like SQL Dev, but my fervor is starting to falter a bit. What's happening to the QC on this product? Seems to me that the focus has shifted from offering a compact, high-performance tool for Oracle developers and administrators in favor of a more feature-rich but less stable product. I'd like to know what others out there think about this. Am I just missing the boat?

    I just love how the community, through the SQL Developer Exchange, influences on the direction to take.
    In general, I don't have any objections on which new features get implemented when. Although some basic functionality is still lacking, like file-based development. If you support a feature, support it fully, or it will explode in your face.
    Really, the only dreadful mistake in the product is the incredibly poor Quality Assurance.
    I can't believe these guys work for the so well known reliable Oracle.
    The framework is a present from the JDeveloper team, so they should be able to focus 100% on database functionality, but as you discovered every new release introduces at least 2 new bugs for every bug fixed, plus the regression of previous fixed bugs!
    Sporting a free product is no excuse for screwing up.
    Second mistake is let the majority of bugs reported through this forum slip by. They've got us as they're most valuable QA, but often just say: "log a bug through Metalink", or just don't respond to the reported issue.
    There are several unrecoverable crashes, which really are showstoppers (issues which should be fixed before releasing), but release after release just don't get fixed, not even acknowledged. I understand some reports get buried inside threads that really have a different subject, but I've even tried putting in bold: "Unrecoverable crash:" in a new post's title, but without getting any response.
    If I can follow the posts in this forum, working for another company, surely the team can do so also, especially when it's their job for which they get paid!
    Let's just hope the next release meets the promises of improving the stability and fixing flawed features.
    Regards,
    K.

  • The turkish fonts of my developed website does not work

    Hello dear all,
    I have an issue that I can't fix for about month. I have designed a website in russian, english and turkish language. in my localhost everything works perfectly, but when I uploaded it into the server the turkish font was not recognized by mozilla Firefox, the rest browsers work fine with that website, but not Firefox.
    here is the link for that website: www.maryotel.kg

    The Turkish page is in Unicode and not like the Russian in windows-1251<br />
    The servers sends the page with windows-1251 encoding and that is what Firefox uses.<br />
    Firefox ignores the encoding specified via a meta tag (text/html; charset=utf-8) if the server sends an encoding via the response header.
    It would be best to have all pages created and saved with UTF-8 encoding and make the server send files with UTF-8 encoding by default.

  • Jsf and css id selector

    Jsf uses a colon (:) for component ids, however to the best of my knowledge, that's an illegal css character. Has anyone had any luck escaping that char with a backslash or is there some other means besides using the style or styleclass attribute in
