Old IPCC Install Media

Does anyone know of an avenue to request install media for older, unsupported products?
I have a licensed IPCC 4.0(5) system that is still in production on a CM 4.1 cluster. The hardware needs to be replaced, but the previous administrator either lost or hid the install media before he left the company.  I know this system is old, but currently there is no budget for upgrading the whole phone system.
I cannot find that media kit for sale anywhere, and TAC is not able to help since there is no support contract.  Are there any other resources for replacing lost install media?

There are no other legal sources for the media. In some rare cases, your local Cisco SE may be able to get a copy of it from internal FTP sites; however, by burning and distributing another copy of the product Cisco is liable to pay another set of royalties. In some cases, it may be illegal for them to do so if those underpinning contracts have expired (i.e. they may no longer have rights to redistribute the underpinning pieces). I say this only to set expectations that there is no guaranteed option here. You might get lucky with help from a friendly SE is all.

  • Media Encoder saying "The Adobe Product that installed Media Encoder has not activated"

I'm using Captivate 6 and one of the applications installed alongside this is Adobe Media Encoder. I've recently moved to a new Laptop. I de-activated Cap6 on the old one and sucessfully reactivated it on the new one. However, when I try to run Media Encoder on the new laptop I get a dialog box stating that "The Adobe Product that installed Media Encoder has not been activated". Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

    nominder,
Start by making sure your products are updated to the latest versions.  Launch Premiere Pro and choose Help>Updates.  Do all the updates (if any) and restart the computer.
As far as AME is concerned, you were one click shy of your desired goal - hitting the start button on AME.  AME works in the background so you can keep working in another Adobe application.  So the workflow is thus.
within Premiere Pro - file>export media
choose correct settings for your output type and click ok
AME launches and ques up the render - click start...
    Hope this helps,

  • Adobe Capture 3.0 install media and license

    Hi,
    Seriously need some help here.
We have a custoemr that used Adobe Captire 3.0 as part of a scanning solution that worked with Kofax, an old version.
We are currently redeploying this oriignal solution but the client has misplaced the media and we really need it.
Is there any way that Adobe can give me a pointer to the install media for Capture 3.0 (has to be this version to integrate with our code) and some form of license, perhaps this can be checked against the original purchase?
Any and all advice appreciated in advance
    Regards
    Andy

Do you receive any specific error messages?  As Mylenium stated the software is quite old at this point and our engineers never planned for the software being installed in Windows 7.
If you are looking for a simple photo editor you may want to try http://www.photoshop.com/.  I believe it should have most of the main features which were available in Photo Deluxe.

  • Install Media

I just want install media for CS6 Master Collection. I'm not a fan of Cloud anything. I like to have the software installed locally on my machine. I refuse to go to Creative Cloud, I'm just psychologically too cheap to do it. Sorry Adobe I just want my old outdated software that was already paid for. Thanks in advance.
Just in case you're wondering, I think all cloud services are extortion. So again please let this old fart stay in his offline bubble & draw with my locally installed software. Again thanks.

  • Why arch linux install media is so big?

    Hi all,
Yesterday I installed arch linux in my PC. My very first learning/questions regarding arch linux:
    * Why is the install media 650 MB(so big) iso, when it doesnt contain any packages?
    * From the https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Installation_guide page,
       Download
Download the most recent Arch Linux installation ISO image from the Arch Linux download page: this is a hybrid image that allows booting into an x86_64 or i686 live system, depending on the system's architecture and the user's choice.
Why the most recent Arch Linux installation ISO? The ISO which is downloaded one year before also will install the latest linux right because everything is downloaded from internet?
Can anyone please explain what is special about new install media??
    Thanks
    Mario

While you are correct that a netinstall will indeed install the latest linux version, it does not mean that an old install medium will boot on the newest hardware, or is up to date with the latest Arch specific packages etc. Using an old installation image can mean that your hardware is not supported, old bugs are included or that you are not at all able to install Arch because of outdated Arch specific packages on the install medium.
The install medium is merely a specific set of packages combined together in an image, not a special project to install Arch (you can install all packages via pacman). It needs updating, just like a regular Arch install.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can install the new hard disk yourself if you want to. You just need a 2'5" SATA II hard drive, which is compatible with your MacBook Pro. You can buy one at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ You can filter hard drives by computer, so press a "Click to view all...", choose your computer in the sidebar and it will give you the compatible hard drives.
There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance

  • I recently added my old mac hard drive to a new macbook with an SSD as my main OSX drive.  I am having trouble with permissions in viewing my old hard drive.  What is the best way to get complete access to my old hd installed in my new Macbook?

I recently added my old mac hard drive to a new macbook with an SSD as my main OSX drive. I am having trouble with permissions in viewing my old hard drive, when I save a permission when I reboot the full access is changed again .  What is the best way to get complete access to my old hd installed in my new Macbook?

Open the Get Info window for the old drive. Click the Lock icon on the bottom of that window and type in your password. In the permissions area click the Plus sign ( + ) and Add your Username to it and set it to Read & Write. Close that window. you should now have full access to all the files.

i see that i have a problem after installing my new hard drive on my macbook pro mid 2009 version. I put a new hard drive, with all of my information from my old drive installed on it, into the computer. but now have the blinking question mark folder. I see that it means that it isn't reading the new hard drive.
did i miss a step between transferring all of my information from my old hard drive to the new hard drive and installing the new hard drive into the computer. I believe that i installed properly. it was quite easy.
    thanks for your help

It means there is no bootable system on the drive. If you still have access to the old drive, then I suggest you boot from it then clone it to the new internal drive. Use OPTION boot to boot from the Recovery HD on the old drive:
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
         1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
             button.
         2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
         3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
         4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
             to the Destination entry field.
         5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
             the Source entry field.
         6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Source means the external old drive. Destination means the new internal drive.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard is still seeing my old scanner install.  How to force it to see new scanner install.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard is still seeing my old scanner install.  How to force it to see new scanner install?  Scanner is recognized by and works fine in Windows.  Acrobat however still sees Fujitsu fi-6130dj #3.  I need it to see Fujitsu fi-6130dj which is what is listed in Device Manager.  (Windows XP SP3).
    Thank you for any suggestions.

To provide more detail and list what was done to resolve the issue but there may be a better way.
Background.  When you install a USB device to a PC it is listed in Windows Device Manager as installed hardware.  If you take the USB plug for any device and plug it into a different USB port on the PC the PC will install drivers again for that device.  In Device Manager, if you set a system environment variable for device manager to show non-present devices you can see all of the times this may have occurred.  In this specific instance there were five installations in Device Manager for one piece of hardware, a Fujitsu fi-6130 scanner.  The first listing was Fujitsu fi-6130dj, then Fujitsu fi-6130dj #2, Fujitsu fi-6130dj #3 and so on.  Adobe Acrobat only saw the third instance of these drivers being installed.  Once I cleaned Device Manager of all Fujitsu scanner installs I was able to have a single set of drivers installed for this Fujitsu but Adobe still recognized the third instance of the driver install and I could not figure out how to force it to see what Device Manager was seeing, a single instance of the scanner being installed (with no #3 behind it).
Steps performed to try to resolve.
Repair install of Adobe - no luck - still sees the #3 instance of the scanner
Deactivation, uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reactivation of Adobe - no luck, same behavior as above
Complete removal of all scanner related software.  This included the ISIS drivers in Add/Remove Programs and all other related software.  This also included deleting the contents of the TWAIN_32 directory found within the root of the Windows directory and also included deleting the scanner from Device Manager.
    Rebooted.
Reinstalled complete packages of both TWAIN and ISIS scanners - with the scanner disconnected.  Powered the scanner back on and let Windows install the drivers for the hardware.  Only at this point did Adobe see the new install of the Fujitsu scanner and no longer looked for the #3 instance of that scanner install.

  • Error when installing Media Sync

I just got my first BlackBerry (Bold with v4.6.0.162) and am in the process of installing the destop software as outlined in this post:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&thread.id=3...
I've installed the USB drivers, the Desktop Manager without Roxio Media Manager and was moving on to the installation of the Media Sync tool.
When installing from within the Desktop Manager it stops working and shuts down.
When installing from the downloaded BlackBerryMediaSync.exe file, I receive the following error message:
"Setup could not locate the Software License Agreement information.  Setup cannot continue and will now exit."
I'm working with a Dell, Vostro 1510, Vista Basic.  I've tried "run as administrator" and also when logged on as the administrator with the same results.
Any thoughts or assistance will be greatly appreciated as I've not been able to track down this problem anywhere.

    Hi lighthouse007:
Can you install Media Sync as a stand alone product?  (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/media/mediasync.jsp)
Does it work if you launch it outside of Desktop Manager after you do this?  Does it work if launched from within Desktop Manager?
    Cheers

  • Trying to install media encoder cs6

Unfortunately, my system runs on Snow Leopard(10.6). I found out only too late that the media encoder CC did not work on that OS.
Now, I am trying to go back to CS6, but I can't because the apps are no longer available for me on my Applications Manager.
The only ones that are still CS6 are After Effects and Premiere Pro. So, if the manager detect that I need to install premiere pro and AE CS6, why does it install Media Encoder CC and not CS6?

I have temporarely solved my problem. I got the Media encoder CS6 folder out of my trash bin and put it back in the apps folder along with the CC version and everything works like a charm.
    Thanks anyway!

  • Installing media encoder on multiple workstations

I attended Adobe Max and I recall being told that - with the purchase of Premiere CS4 - you are allowed to install Media Encoder on as many systems connected to the same network as you want. Does anyone else recall this, or
are aware of how I can accomplish this without purchasing multiple copies of Premiere?
    Thanks.

You can install the software on any number of systems. You can activate it on only two systems used the same person but not concurrently. What you bought was a single license with a feature that gives you the flexibility to use it on your office system and perhaps either a notebook or home system when away from the office. You cannot use the other activation for a co-worker's computer or for someone else in your family, etc.

  • Install media 2012.08.04 and latest install scripts - the shell

I'm just curious about this: the latest install media uses zsh, the install scripts are bash scripts - the shell you're dropped in after "arch-chroot" is sh (SHELL=/bin/sh chroot "$@")
Why do we use sh in the chrooted environment?

Allan wrote:Because zsh is not installed by default...
I understand, but let me rephrase : why the shell in the chrooted environment is sh and not bash? Isn't bash installed by default?
In the previous version of the install scripts (present in the previous version of the install cd) the chrooted shell was bash, and in Arch "sh" is a symlink to bash (if I understand correctly, calling "bash" as "sh" make bash behave like sh).
So, there's a reason to use sh in the chrooted installation?

  • Disk utility on install media

    Hello,
When using the Disk utility on W7 SP1 install media to partition and format the HDD, unlike Windows built-in Disk Management utility it creates a 200MB partition that some boot files are placed with and/or by BitLocker. I have always avoided this issue but,
a friend has deleted W7 x86 SP1 with an older vs of GParted and on the phone told me it can't deal with the "Unallocated Mystery" space as he calls it. I assume the 200MB partition is hidden from Windows Explorer and I'm assuming the partition does
not start/end (whatever) like a 512 byte block does and it's a 4096 sized block like W7 reportedly makes, I'm not sure how it works exactly. Is that partition an MBR, 512e, or a 4Kn?. I know Disk Management can handle GPT types of partitions, that are 512e
(GUID) I'm guessing. (maybe both) I've used the stand alone GParted but never dealt with the 200MB partition. I need some info before helping him on team viewer or on the phone
    thanks

    Hello michael_clyde,
Do you mean that you have 200MB partition in the Windows 7?
Please share us a screenshot about disk management for better analyzation.
Based on my knowledge, the 200MB partition can be Windows RE partition.
Please take a look at the following article about understanding Disk Partitions.
