Old iPhone showing up in Share Sheet in Maps on Mavericks
Hoping someone can help me here?
I installed MAvericks and on the share sheet i have 3 devices showing for SEND TO IPHONE, SEND TO IPAD and SEND TO IPHONE 5S, the problem is only the iPad and iPhone 5S are valid devices. The iPhone device was an old iphone that has had Find My iPhone deactivated on the device and all content erased throught the settings menu on the device as per Apple's instructions on best practice for wiping phones. Thus the old phone is factory reset and has no data or sim in it.
Whats more weird is that this old iPhone device does not show up in the Find my iPhone iOS app or Web app.
I've tried logigng in and out of icloud on the mac in settings but nothing works, any advice ???
Same issue here. I've bought a new iphone 5s, and a new ipad Air, replacing older models. I sold both old devices through Gazelle. Both old devices were running ios 7, and I made sure to turn off "find my iphone" on both and erase all content and settings before selling them. Neither old device is anymore in anyway associated with my AppleID. But both continue to show up on the share sheet in Maps on Mavericks. I've tried everything.
It's not the worst thing ever, since the new devices are both there also, and sharing from Mavericks works to both new devices. Still - bugs me that the old ones are there! It's not possible that if I send a location to one of those old devices, it actually gets there, right? Nah...
Well, if anyone figures it out, it's much appreciated!

My iphone is in for repair. I put the sim card in my old and it works for phone calls but it won't sync with my computer so I can get email etc. Any ideas?
Does your old iphone show up in the device list? If no, did you already try the troublshooting mentioned here? iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes up again?

How can I get all the notifications to show in my iphone 5? I get the notifiactsions on my ipad and the old iphone 4 but cannot get them in the 5. Especially form facebook. All the settings appear to be the same. Am I missing something?
If you are syncing your contacts from your PC with iCloud, they are not transferred to your phone using iTunes. They are synced to your phone using iCloud, either over wifi or your cellular data network.
First go to icloud.com with your computer browser, sign into your account and open Contacts there to confirm that your contacts appear. If they do, go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, sign into your account and turn Contact on. Assuming your phone is either connected to wifi or your cellular data network, the contacts should then download from iCloud to your phone. -
IPad & iPhone not showing correct Home Share (Apple TV is!)
I have setup Home Sharing in iTunes and have enable it across iPad & iPhone and they are both using the correct Apple ID
The problem I have is that my Movies and TV Shows that I have recently added are not showing up on the Home Share on iPad or iPhone.
The Home Share is setup for Apple TV and everthing is fine.
I have:
Disabled Home Share and re-enabled it
Restarted iTunes several times.
I have deleted one file that was visable on iPad and that now no longer appears - So there is a connection but I'm not sure where the iPad is looking?
On iPad I have two different TV Shows displayed but multipe copies of them are showing: See image: When
Eg, Series 1 Episode 1-10 are showing 5 times if not more
I have now reset my iPad and the issue still exists.
Any idea's appreciated.

sure i can. The automatic correction is an enemie to me.
My last sentence based on the menu from iTunes->File->Library->Oraganize Library.
More Details:
1. Make a screenshot from your iPhone or iPad with the duplicates
2. Click in iTunes on your pc in the tv shows section an choose the duplicate tv shows.
3. Right click-> Show in finder
4. Copy the file to an external hard drive
5. Delete the entry in iTunes
Repeat that with all duplicated tv shows
6. Choose in the menu file-library-organize library.
7. Close iTunes and reopening it
8. Check on your iPhone or iPad if u have some duplicated shows.
9. Copy the removed tv shows back in the library. But only one by one
10. Testing after ever tv show if the are duplicated.
That's all.

So I changed my Apple ID. Now on my Iphone I can't update things from the apps store or download new stuff. I went into settings and changed my ID there, but in the apps store it still shows up as my old ID. The apps store won't let me log on with the new one, as my old still shows up, and if I go back into settings and change it back to the old ID the password I had before no longer works. This ***** Apple. You just ruined my Iphone!!! My phone went from being cool to being junk since I am not unable to download or update apps...the coolest part of my phone. Someone help??? Please tell me how I can enjoy my phone and apps again...
Thank you for the response, but I ended up temporarily resetting my Apple ID... It was a pain, but it worked in the end.

Please help ! Where is my current icloud backup ?? It shows backed up on my old iphone but not on my new one. I updated my new iphone and it updated with an icloud backup from 12/3/2013 which restored a bunch of things that are no longer valid. How can i get the correct backup restored to my new iphone ??

I have a honda civic with USB port which allows play back of my old iPhone 4 and 4s. With the new iPhone 5 the radio shows the phone is conected but does not show any music content. Any Suggestions?
You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

I used to be able to sync my iphone with itunes, but now when I plug my iphone into my computer it no longer syncs or even shows the device icon. Could this be because I have an old iphone and it's not compatible with the latest version of itunes?

How do I delete my current number from showing up on my old iPhone 5?
So my girlfriend and I both upgraded our iPhone 5 to the our new iPhone 6. We backed up both phones and transferred everything to the new phones. I was thinking about selling the phones but I noticed that my current number is still on my old phone and my girlfriends number is still on her old phone. The number is located when
I tried researching this but nothing seems to work. I did the Settings/General/Reset/Erase all settings and content. I have tried doing it through iTunes. Its like the phone is ready to be set up as new, and everything is cleared on the phone except our numbers. We are not signed into iCloud. I even signed on to my iCloud account on my girlfriends old phone but her number still shows. Its very frustrating.
Bottom line, is I am trying to get rid of our current phone numbers that are still on our old iPhones. Everything works perfectly on our new iPhone 6.
EDIT: I just realized that our old iPhones still says Verizon on them. Do we possibly have to deactivate the phones some how? If so, how do we do that?Yes I was going through the activation process on both phones. Weird thing is I did the same thing for my daughters old iPhone 4 (which I was going to use as an iPod) and her number cannot be seen. Her phone doesn't show "Verizon" on it either.

Hi all. I recently restore my old iphone 5 on my new 6. I'm having problems with bluetooth devices. The ones that were already paired with the old one are not showing in the list, and most of them(not all) are not working or pairing. I already restored network settings to no avail. Any ideas?

I am trying to get my contacts of an old iphone 3. It show the Itunes logo and the usb connector of the phone charger. How can I get that off the phone and access my contacts.
Ideas anyone?You need to plug it in to iTunes. Once it starts working again, back up the old iPhone to iCloud then go to iCloud in settings. Turn on contacts then you get them back. Another option is to back up to iTunes with the old one, then on the new one, go on iTunes, click restore backup, and choose the old iPhone. I suggest using icloud. Hope it helps!
