Old Mails suddenly started to show in Agent inbox

Hi Experts,
In ICweb client we are using agent inbox, The  users can search the emails through status like open, inprocess etc in inbox.
We have recently in Feb 2009 upgraded from CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007, Till recently that just 2 days before also when ever the agent search for the Emails with status open they used to get email which are open after the upgrate(2/14/2009) onwards, Now suddenly from last 2 days when agents searches for the Status open emails the system stated to show up apart from new emails old emails also(which are created before 2/14/2009).
So Please advice why its happened and how can i resolve it.
Regards
Teja

Hi Arden,
Thanks for your suggestion,
My understanding of this issue is as email were not deleted before upgradation(not sure can we delete email before upgradation) they will show up emails which are in open status irrespective of whether the mails are before upgrade or after.
But the agents claim they never got the emails which are created before upgrade now suddenly started to show up.
So can u suggest is my understanding is correct or what agents claiming is correct.

My iPad suddenly started to show crazy colors.  I turned it off.  It would not reboot until I used the two-button reboot.  Now it shows only green stripes.  only for a few seconds and goes back to sleep.  HELP!

    Standard troubleshooting...
    1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider.  Slide to power off.  Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
    2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
    3. Remove all apps from Recently Used list...
    - From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
    - Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
    - Press the red to delete all apps from this list.
    - Press the home button twice when done.
    4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
    5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
    6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

  • Why has mail suddenly started saying that my outgoing mail server is offline?

Why has mail suddenly started saying that my outgoing mail server is offline?
I can receive mail from my ISP using Apple Mail but as of this morning I can't send via my ISP.
When I check Mail preferences, they say that my ISP's outgoing mail server is "offline".
I haven't changed any settings, so  what's gone wrong? I need a fix. At the moment I'm having to use Gmail.

If your email is hosted by Google then there are several known issues with Apple Mail under Mavericks accessing Gmail.  Using a web browser is a good backup.  In Apple Mail you can goto the menubar, choose Mailbox and choose take all accounts offline.  Then bring them back online.  Worst case you may need to delete and readd the account (usually if something was setup wrong) Menu bar - Mail > Accounts.
If you have turned on 2 step Google Authentication then you'll need to issue a specific email password for Apple Mail to use to bypass authentication.  Google the steps.
Best of luck in getting your mail server online.  Hopefully you can specify multiple servers in settings.

  • Mail suddenly started retrieving e-mails starting from 1st e-mail on Server

    L.S.,
I'm using the mail.app version 4.2 with POP and have been downloading my mails without problems.
I do keep the mail on the server and was at about 8000 mails on the server.
Suddenly when trying to download, the mails started downloading from the first mail.
I've stopped the downloading and am having issues, as I'm using a web-interface to read the mails and responding in mail.
I deleted the extra mails that were downloaded and from the mailbox which were the last ones to be downloaded and are duplicates and then die a Rebuild.
This took care of removing the duplicate mails and also re-indexing my mailbox.
However when trying to download again it keeps on starting from the first e-mail.
Is there a way to get it start from where the latest not download e-mails start?
    Thnxs for your help.

I went back to the vendor of the mailserver software to check your suggestion.
    Their answer was as follows:
+There is no POP information stored on the server in regards to what e-mails have been downloaded or not, this is handled by the e-mail client. The client stores this information and could have become corrupt.+
Possible reasons for this to happens according to the vendor's support were:
+Have you made any changes to your connection within Apple Mail ?+
I don't recall making changes to the connection with my Apple Mail.
While abroad I recall that using one of the hotels providers, I was unable to send mail but that has to do with SMTP and shouldn't have any impact on the POP.
I needed to use their mailserver to be able to send as I was getting relaying problems and maybe there is where something might have gone wrong.
+Has the IP address of the server you connect to changed at all ?+
The IP address of the mailserver never changed.
I asked for an indication on where this info could be for Mail.app where I received the following answer.
+I am not sure of the file in which this stores in AppleMail. In outlook it is stored in a database file called Pop3uidl.dbx - There may be something similar to that in your file structure.+
After this answer I went to investigate further what could be done.
I went into the directory ~/Library/Mail and found amongst others the file MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3.
Googling this I got more confused as unfortunately when the early adopters upgraded to Snow Leopard, mail had a mishap and this was part of what was being reflected in the postings and also the suggestion to move from POP3 to IMAP to circumvent this issue.
I'm on Snow Leopard and waited until the patch was released that took care of the mail issue, to upgrade. So that is one issue less to take into consideration.
Going to IMAP is not an option either, as all of my POP mail is local and all the mail I have would not be together. Furthermore I did finally decide to integrate my gmail account into mail and this has caused my mailing to become unbearably slow (2nd issue).
Not having an option according to the write-ups, I decided to check what could be done with sqlite as MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 is a sqlite DB.
Didn't get anything when trying to load the MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3.
As the last resort I have to delete MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 and I will get all the files back which are on the mailserver according to the write-ups.
This means that I have to get rid of the already existing files that will be downloaded.
So I decided to start doing that. Then I saw that for INBOX.mbox and Sent Messages.mbox apart from the Messages directory, an Attachments directory also exists and I saw that the messages that have attachments, these attachments are kept in a directory of the name equal to the name of the .elmx, that no other mailbox seems to have these attachment directories and that for Sent Messages.mbox the attachments are incidentally copied into its Attachment directory.
Fortunately I don't have to take care of that as only my INBOX counts for the messages I have to retrieve.
I suspect that there are inconsistencies in the application as I couldn't find a correlation on the reason for having only a small portion of the sent attachment in the Attachment Directory for Sent Messages.mbox and not all.
I have not started retrieving the mails from the mailserver yet.
Is there something else I need to take into consideration before taking the jump? As I see files like DefaultCounts etc.
Do I need to take care of other files?
Something else that bugs me is that even though I deleted all the .elmx files in the INBOX.mbox of which I have a copy on the mailserver, I still keep seeing the e-mails.
Scanning the system for the elmx's that may exist for those e-mails I don't find anything. Who can explain this to me?
*Resuming I have the following issues:*
*- Is what I have done by eliminating the already downloaded e-mails including attachments “if they exist” of which I have a copy on the Mailserver enough?*
*- What could have caused my mail to become slower when implementing IMAP (gmail account) in combination with POP3?*
*- Is the inconsistency with attachments legit?*
*- A small explanation of why I have the deleted e-mails still at my disposition, while they were physically deleted (.elmx) ?*
    Thanks for your reaction

  • My wife new macbook pro 5 months old does not start, it shows the power blinking , but no boot

    hi,
my wife just bought a new macbook pro few months ago, and it sat on her desk , safe and without being moved around.
yesterday night the fans were blowing air like jet engines , but this morning it would not start again.
do you think we still can have it fixed my apple?it did not fall down or something, it sat on her desk.

Since this is a new machine and under warranty, simply go to Apple and let them handle it.

  • Why did Mail randomly start sending emails to junk folder?

My mail app suddenly started sending important emails to my junk folder. I have been using mail on all of my devices for some time and have never changed any settings since I started. With the exception of some emails here and there, I have never had any issue with it. For whatever reason this week it just started sending almost everything to my junk folder. Does anyone know if theres any way I can fix this? It seems to only be my gmail account that this occurs.

This is not working for me either, as of a week or two ago. Junk mail is marked as junk, but stays in my inbox, regardless of my junk mail settings. I have it set to move junk to the junk folder, but Mail simply refuses to do so. I tried changing the setting, closing preferences, opening prefs and changing it back, but that does not help either.
Sadly this is the least of my problems with Mail in Leopard. I've had nothing but problems with it so far and I'm getting really frustrated. I'm running out of patience and ideas and it may simply be time to wipe out all my mailboxes and preferences, reimport all my old mail and start over from scratch again.

  • X61 suddenly started to BSOD on login

My sixth month old X61 suddenly started to blue screen as I (or the administrator) logged in this weekend.
It happens after accepting the password (or fingerprint scan) as Windows sets up the session.
I originally thought this might have been due to SP3 which I installed several weeks ago, so I downrevved back to SP2, and even updated to all the latest drivers from Lenovo with no luck.
It seems to work quite happily in SAFE mode with networking.
Any obvious things I should attempt before wipe and restore ?

  • Satellite C660-2EV suddenly started giving me the BSOD

Last week my 2 year old laptop suddenly started giving me the BSOD. There does not appear to be anything that triggers it. Not sure what information I should provide but I have tried a system restore to an earlier date but that hasn't fixed it.
I have managed to perform a data backup, and I do have recovery discs. I also purchased extended warranty last year.
Should I arrange for repair or is there something else I can try first?
    Thanks.

    > I should provide but I have tried a system restore to an earlier date but that hasn't fixed it.
I dont think this is the best choice. I would recommend you to recover the notebook back to the factory settings, either using the Toshiba HDD recovery or the Toshiba Recovery disk.
If BSOD would appear after the System Recovery, I would recommend you to check exactly the content of BSOD.
Sometimes not compatible drivers could cause the BSOD.
But of course, also hardware problems (memory issues) could be the reason for BSOD.
In such case you should contact the Toshiba ASP in order to check the hardware.

  • Scanned letters in agent inbox

    Hi all,
what is the best way to get scanned letters (marked as letters) in the agent inbox of IC WebClient? As addtional information:
we do NOT have a file storage system in place (nedded for the ArchiveLink Scenario).
Thanks for your help in advance!
    Greetings Anne

    Hi Anne,
The best way would be to allow e mails (with different Icon) in the Agent Inbox. The email can always have the scanned documents as the attachement and the same can also be maintained in the descrition/Subject of the Mail.
    Regards

  • Notes always show in the inbox

In the mail program notes always show in the inbox as well as the reminders tab which is an annoyance as I do not want them to always show in the inbox.
Is there a way to only have them display in the reminders section.
Thanks in advance for any help, Kenneth.

Sorry but the answer came as related posts after I posted the question.

  • Why is Macbook Mail suddenly redownloading thousands of old emails?

    Hi everyone,
More MacMail weirdness - this time a *major* problem.
This morning, no idea why, Mac Mail has suddenly started redownloading emails I received *years* ago, including spam, trash, and junk mail. It's constantly flashing them up on my screen as "New Messages" and "Incoming Mail". On the Macbook it's putting them directly into the ALL MAIL folder, so at least my Inbox seems clear. However, on my iPad it's putting all these many thousands of emails directly in my iOS Mail inbox, making the application completely unusable - it's just flooded with constantly updating very old junk email and spam.
Nothing has changed on my settings that I know of. Obviously it's a bit of a disaster as the email app on my iPad is now unusable.
What can I do to stop this? Why is it suddenly happening?
    Cheers,
    Sarah

This is my web setting for gmail
Notice what is checked.  Now my corresponding Mac Mail sidebar
All mail is a hodpodge.  I would not turn that on or (as you can see) even let it be shown.

Mail suddenly marks as spam what is not and viceversa.
It has worked perfectly until a few days ago. How can I restore the old junk "learnt" list, since it is marking as SPAM senders who have been my correspondants for years?? Where is the old junk pref file to be found?

Why start a new and very similar thread to your other one which you have not responded to (have you read the replies?)
I suggest that no response is made to this duplicate thread.

How do I clean up mail in my icloud?  I have already deleted old mail (from all my e-mail accounts) on all devices, and emptied the junk & deleted files, but it still shows that I am at max on my icloud. What do I do to free up space? (photos & apps do not take up that much room).  When I go to manage storage on any device & it will display how much room each program or app is using, it still shows that my e-mail is taking up the most room.  Is there a way to actually log on to the icloud server to manage what it stored there?  If so, how do I do it?  Also, on a related subject,  why does my mail not sync accross all devices?   ie. when I delete an email on one device, why do I still see it on all my other devices?  How can I change this?
I have an iphone5, ipad2, ipod 4th gen, ipod 3rd gen, all running on my same apple id - but I have a PC not a Mac home computer - is this part of the problem?  Looking to upgrade to a Mac sometime this year...
    Thank-you for the help!

I do have the Time Capsule and spoke to Apple Care here in Sydney about it yesterday.  They told me my mail is not backed up there unless I create a special folder. I just tried ringing them again but Apple Care is closed today...
Mail is backed up automatically. If you make backups automatically, open Mail application and then, open the Time Machine app (in /Applications/Utilities). You will access to the Time Machine interface, and you will be able to see all your mails of all the backups you have, and you will be able to restore them. It means that your mails are backed up onto the Time Capsule

  • Starting Lion Mail without importing old mails?

with the upgrade to Lion OSX, I lost access to my mails!
Starting Lion Mail it asks to import old mails. Only other choice is cancelling the process.
It then spends around 1hour loading (invisibly) old mails into new Lion mail (ca. 260,000 mails.)
Right before the end of the importing process, it breaks up and send error message that some index has been distroyed.... should restart mail... and it would then repair the index... THIS IS NOT THE CASE.
    I am stuck.
Can anyone please tell me, if it is possible to start Lion Mail from scratch preventing it from importing old mails automatically?
I have erased com.mail.plist as well as all folders related to my old emails, but it manages to find the old mails somewhere in the invisible parts of the computer (MacBook Pro).
    Thanks for helping out

Those Mail messages are in the Mail folder of your user's Library folder.  With Mail not running, in the Finder hold down an "option" key while you pull down the "Go" menu.  Select Library from the menu list.  In the resulting Finder window move the folder Mail to the Desktop.  You should now be able to launch Mail without that import problem.  This is a guess, but you may be able to import the contents of specific mailboxes from the saved Mail folder.
