Old meeting invites being accepted

I've just moved to iCloud from me.com and in syncing my calendar, it seems to have gone and accepted every meeting invitation I've ever received! Some of my clients are responding with more than a little bemusement. Thanks a lot, Apple, for making me look like a complete idiot.

I have just found out why my meetings are showing as tentative at work; because I accept them on my iPhone it leaves them as tentative and doesn't change them to busy.
Latest iOS ; Exchange 2010; synced via the native Exchange EAP on iPhone.
Only workaround I know of is to manually change the request to busy before hitting accept

  • OSX Yosemite Calendar - Repeated Meeting Invites Being Sent

I have an MS Exchange account (Office 365 for business) set up in the Calendar application (Yosemite). For a few recurring meetings with multiple invitees (both internal and external to our organization) Calendar, through the Mail application, is sending multiple meeting invites to those participants who were originally invited and had accepted. I cannot determine what activity is causing these invitations to resend but it is quite annoying (especially when client's keep getting the notifications. The frequency seems to occur randomly and can be months after a meeting was created. Any thoughts or insight?

If you don't be granted the permission for someone's calendar folder, we need to set automatically process meeting requests on his mailbox. In Outlook 2013, we can do this from File > Calendar > Automatic accept or decline section > Auto Accept/Decline
Or we may set Outlook rule to auto-accept the meeting invites:

  • Multiple duplicate meeting invitations being sent out

One of exec. admins is experiencing the issue where she sets up meeting invitations (as a delegate on behalf of one of the VPs she supports) and sends them out via Outlook 2003 from her desktop PC. She also has her exchange account on her Iphone which has verion 3 on it. Within a 24 period and usually much sooner, the same meeting invite keeps sending itself out over and over with no way to stop it. We have tried reinstalling MS Office 2003 and reimaging her PC but no resolution, even swapping Iphones. We do know that when her exchange account is completely removed from her Iphone, the entire issue goes away? Anyone else experiencing this issue and if so, any way to resolve it?

We have a similar issue happening in our organization. Our project management team all use iPhone 3G (9 of them.) We manage a team of professionals from many companies and in many timezones, and the members have been receiving way too many copies of meeting invitations from us and are getting angry. Some are forming negative opinions about our organization because of this and blaming our IT team; this needs to stop ASAP. Does the 3.1 verison repair this problem Apple?? It isnt helpful that Apple hasn't been responding to people in their forums with Exchange calendaring problems and this problem Trumps the others by far.
    Any assistance would be great!

  • Meeting invites

I receive a meeting invite and accepts it on outlook, it still shows as unaccepted on the iPhone, it doesn't go away still.

I agree that this is a fatal omission by Apple in setting up ActiveSync on the iPhone. I have to make a list of any appointments I put on my iPhone during the day so that I can add invitees when I get near a desktop computer at night. It's a royal pain.

The only way to remove a passcode is to restore the device.

  • Issues when accepting meeting invite received via exchange

    Hi,
My iphone (3G 3.0) is syncing with push via an exchange server. What I am finding out is that when I accept, tentatively accept, or decline a meeting invite, I also am doing the same "On Behlaf of" whoever is on either side of me in the meeting invite. I do not have any type of access to these people's email, calendars etc.
Anyone else having this issue? Anyway to resolve it?
    Thanks!

We're seeing the same thing. Using iphone 3gs with exchange activesync 2003 and outlook 2003 client.
Although after a lot of testing we've narrowed it down a little. It seems to accept on behalf of the the person that appears first alphabetically in the list of recipients, and stops there.
For instance, my name starts with a 'J' (Jason). So if there are others that were invited whose name starts with a 'C' (Carol), and then a 'G' (Greg)....and I accept the meeting invitation, it will only "accept on behalf of" Carol but not Greg. So the meeting organizer will see a message that appears to be from Carol, but it actually states that Jason accepted on behalf of carol. The organizer will also receive the proper response that you (Jason in this case) accepted.
Other testing showed that if YOUR name was the lowest alphabetically in the recipients list (Jason, Sam, and Tom), then it will accept for you properly, but not accept those with names starting with a higher letter in the alphabet than your name.
So it appears to choose the first name in the recipients list in alphabetical order.
We also noticed that if the meeting organizer sends the request *from his/her iphone* (with the same recipients - Carol, Greg, and Jason), and Jason accepts it on his iphone....it will not accept on behalf of Carol.
So far we don't have a solution....but that's what we've figured out at this point.
    I hope it makes sense.

  • Can't Accept Meeting invitations

When I receive meeting invitations from Outlook, I cannot accept them. The message has the standard header and then all of the meeting details in the body. According to the handbook, I should only have to push in on the wheel and select Accept. When I push the wheel, only the standard options appear in the menu bar.  I would like to accept a meeting and have it automatically added to my calender on the BlackBerry.
I use Outlook in conjunction with my BlackBerry to handle my calender and contacts. I use Outlook for email.I am using google apps email service

    I have the same problem.

  • When accepting a meeting invitation, I get a completely different meeting

Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8.1)
When I try to accept a meeting invitation, it gives me a meeting from over a year ago to accept.  This meeting has nothing at all to do with the current meeting or event, yet I constantly get it no matter which invite I open and accept.  It is infuriating.  I've deactivated the iCloud.  I've deleted all my calendars and put in new calendars.  No luck.  I get the same two meetings randomly when I accept an invite.  Doesn't matter if I've already accepted one of the two meetings, those are my only choices.
I have searched and searched and found nothing.
Please help!  My calendar is useless.  I may as well go back to stone tablets at this rate.  ;-)

I would love a solution, too. This issue came up as soon as I updated to the mobileme beta in october. First, all my "on my mac" calendars were deleted with years of needed historical data. Luckily I restored them via Time Machine backup. Then I talked in depth to multiple levels of AppleCare support and they were beyond perplexed. Any calendar invites I receive into iCal will automatically go into the first "on my mac" calendar, and cannot be moved to the mobileme calendars. The only bad solution is to "duplicate" the calendar event, and then move it to whatever calendar you want. Then delete the original event. Unfortunately, even if you select "delete and don't notify" the original event sender will receive a notification. I've also had problems with calendar invites in ical I accepted into mobileme syncing to my iphone and ipad in a format that does not allow me to edit.

  • After accepting meeting invite on Blend, meeting doesn't appear in Blend but appears on Passport

    Hi,
I've come across an interesting bug.
When someone sends me a meeting invite via email and I accept it in Blend. When I look at my calendar in Blend the meeting is not in my calendar. But when I look on my phone I can see the meeting in my calendar.
I can send screenshots if necessary.

    Hi @alexklkam
I'm unable to reproduce this issue, all of my calendars match up after several tests.
If possible can you record the steps you are taking that cause to issue to occur so I can do some more testing?
Can you let me know what type of email\calendar service are you using, e.g. Outlook.com, Gmail as well?
When this issue occurs, does the entry ever appear?
For example, if you close and re-open Blend after noticing the entry isn't shown, does it appear again?

  • Accepting meeting invite accepts as someone else

When I accept a meeting invite on my Incredible, it sends the acceptance as if I were someone else.  That person is always another person invited to the meeting.  The only way that I knew is that someone asked me how I was accepting as the President of my company.  I then opened Outlook on my computer and can see that it lists another invitees name as the From in my meeting acceptance.  How in the world does this happen and how do I fix it?  I am using the standard mail app.

That could get frustrating.  I'm assuming if you are using the stock mail app on the phone, this is your Corporate Email setup because it is syncing with Outlook on the computer.  Something could have been corrupted with your phone syncing with the Corporate Email account, but it should be able to be fixed as this is not a known issue.  I would recommend removing the email setup altogether and setting up from scratch.
    Follow these steps:
    1)  Go to settings> applications> manage applications> change filter to all at the top> find your email application (be listed as
mail)> select all the buttons that are lit up (Force Stop, Clear Data, and Clear Cache).
    2) Go to settings> accounts & sync> and make sure that your corporate account is removed from this list.  If it's still listed, touch
and hold on the account name and choose remove account.
    3) Go to settings> accounts & sync> add account> Exchange ActiveSync. Note: You may need to get your IT department involved
if you are unsure of all of the settings.
Let us know if that helps!

  • Help! Accepting meeting invites

Ive had my 8820 about 3 weeks now and am finally getting the hang of it BUT for whatever reason, meeting invites appear as emails and I cannot accept them. Ive looked at the userguide and a whole bunch of other stuff but cannot find a resolution. Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong? Something must be set up wrong but I must be stupid - I can't work out what it is!!

Open the email. It will show as a calendar event. At the bottom hit accept. Done. If that isn't working then you'll need to make sure that you have calendar enabled on that email account.

    Hey michaeldesbiens,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
What version of BlackBerry 10 OS are you running?  This can be found under Settings>About.
Also have you tried the meeting invites in a different email account on your BlackBerry Z10?
Also what version of Exchange are you running there?
I look forward to your reply.
    Cheers.
