Old MobileMe account to iCloud?

Hello there! I used to have earlier MobileMe account and it was a different accout than my iTunes username (@mac.com). When MobileMe was closed I tried to transfer that account to my normal [email protected] account which I'm using with iTunes, iTunes Store and now also with iCloud (mobileme was [email protected]). I tried to contact Apple to have this bigger storage in iCloud because I had paid full amount of using MobileMe. But I couldn't merge there two accounts.
Does anybody know is it still possible to "join" an old MobileMe account information to iCloud account? I would like to have a bigger iCloud storage.
cheers,
-Jere

I'm afraid you can't merge two accounts. You did migrate your MobileMe account before 1 August? You can add it into your Mac in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars to be the 'secondary account' so that the email and calendars and contacts syncing can run alongside the primary account (though you can't use PhotoStream with it).
Or you could use it as your primary account if you haven't gone too far in putting data on the present one - there's no problem about having one ID for iTunes and another for iCloud: or swop them over and use your present iCloud ID as the secondary account and the ex-MobileMe one as the main account.

Do you mean that you were using the Apple ID which is your ex-MobileMe address? It's still an Apple ID, even though MobileMe itself is dead, and there's nothing to stop you from using it as an ID with Support, or logging in here or in iTunes with it. You should make sure you have a functioning non-Apple email address associated with it.
Did you migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud before 1 August last? If so, you can set up an iCloud account using it, or if you have already set up a new and separate iCloud account you can still log in with it in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars so that it runs alongside your iCloud account.
If you didn't migrate you can still reactivate the address the same way.
Anything where you've logged in with the ex-MobileMe address, such as support for something you registered using it or a server such as iTunes, will need to continue using it.

  • I updated my MobileMe account to iCloud, but I missed all my important emails

I updated my MobileMe account to iCloud last week. And I can not connet to mail account for almost one week. After I change the password, it works. But I missed all my important emails? Any one can help me?

Your signature says you are using 10.6.8 - this cannot work with iCloud. 10.7.2 is required (as you were warned during the migration process), and if your Mac has the specification for it you should consider upgrading (though be aware that old PPC programs such as Appleworks will no longer work).
This is the situation on Snow Leopard when you have migrated from MobileMe:
Your email, calendars, and 'Find my iPhone' will be migrated to iCloud. Contacts and Bookmarks cannot be migrated from a Snow Leopard Mac.
Your iDisk, together with website hosting and Gallery, will continue to work as before until next June.
Syncing of Dashboard Widgets, Dock Items and Keychains between Macs, and Mail Accounts, Mail Rules, System Preferences, Signatures & Smart Mailboxes between Macs & iOS devices, will cease altogether.
You will be able to access email and calendars on the iCloud website at http://icloud.com provided your browser is reasonably up-to-date.
You will not be able to sync contacts or bookmarks from a pre-Lion Mac.
You will be able to enter the server settings for email manually in the Mail application and access your email.
You will not be able to sync your calendars directly.
Some people have been able to set up calendar syncing by using the method detailed here - this is an unsupported hack and may not be reliable, and may stop working at some future point.  BusyCal is an iCal-like calendar application with extra facilities: it can sync with the iCloud Calendar while running on Leopard, Snow Leopard or Lion.
There appears to be no method of syncing contacts (though Address Book on a Mac can be synced with Google or Yahoo address books - I don't know how reliable this is).
The requirements for upgrading to Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Lion is $29.99 and is obtained from the Mac App Store.

  • HT1349 How do I find my old mobileme account?

How do I find/access my old mobileme account?

Mobile closed in August. The contents of your iDisk have been deleted and are not recoverable by any means unless you were running 'iDisk Syncing' and still have the sparseimage in (user)/Library/FileSync.
You can sign into iCloud in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud and reactivate your MobileMe email address. If you migrated your account before 1 August this will give you access to your previously stored emails; if you did not migrate then these have also been deleted.

  • Can I move storage purchased under old MobileMe account to my AppleID account?

Can I transfer the extra storage purchased on my old MobileMe account to my AppleID account (which is my primary account for iCloud)?  If not, can I get a refund for the MobileMe storage to use toward my AppleID account?

This can't be done: and you aren't due for a refund because your MobileMe account was extended for free from the date of its last renewal coming due up to the service closing in July, so you haven't been paying for it.
As an ex-MobileMe user your migrated iCloud account (signed into with your ex-MobileMe address) storage has been extended by 20GB for free but only until the end of September - at that time it will revert to 5GB unless you purchase additional storage.

I did not move my Mobileme account to iCloud. How can I get off the iCloud mailing list?

If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/
You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support (MobileMe Support is no longer available) and you may be asked to pay a fee: in this case you should ask them to deal with it without cost (and hope they agree).
Note that you haven't paid anything for your MobileMe storage since your first renewal date after 6 June 2011, and iCloud costs nothing unless you specifically choose to upgrade the storage. Note also the iCloud storage is not general file storage in the manner of the iDisk but is restricted to iOS device Backup, Mail, Photo Journal and Documents.

  • How I can see what accounts I created with my family pack in my old mobileme account?

Any ideas how I can see what accounts I created with my family pack in my old mobileme account?
i updated it when we need to migrate and all emails are active and being used.
i need to update an email address. we use this for my personal company and need to keep the email in
the same format so it matches the others in the company. i dont see it anywhere in my account now.
i am using a .mac format. thanks.

In order to see which devices are authorized on your account:
    Open iTunes
    Click Store
    Click Account
    Click View Account
    Enter your password
Look in the second section iTunes in the Cloud
To the far right you'll see Manage Devices
Once it's clicked you will see all of the devices currently authorized in iTunes/on your account
I was going to say, "Hope this helps," but based on the above, I'm pretty sure it did!
    Thanks guys...

  • 2 users on the same old mobileme account, 1 photostream?

My old mobileme account had 2 users, [email protected] and [email protected]  Is there anyway I can see pics from both users at the same time in photostream?  There was only 1 account, is this a limitation?  Any work-arounds?

Usually you need to move items to the Shared Folder within the individual user account. That shared folder is called "Public" within the Home folder. Just drag to that location and the other person will be able to get to the files you are try to share between each other.

  • I want to abandon my MobileMe account, but iCloud Setup insists on using it

I just installed the Lion update for iCloud support.  I have a MobileMe account, mainly used for syncing between Mac and iPhone.  I use a different account for iTunes and developer, and want to use that one as my single Apple ID.  When I go into System Preferences for iCloud, it wants to migrate my MobileMe account, and there is no option to start with a different id.
    - Can I get iCloud to setup with my other Apple ID?
    - If I start with the MobileMe migration, can I then ditch it and use the other ID instead?
    Thanks for any pointers.

That's where I tried to start, but this is what I see, with no option to bypass MobileMe:
