Old music wont sync on to my ipod touch

i have recently purchased a new laptop and downloaded some songs so when I go to sync my old and new songs together only my new songs sync onto my ipod.

Not know your question maybe this will help since you can only sync with one computer.

I have an iPod 5th generation and my boyfriend has an iPod touch, both synced to the iTunes on this computer. He recently bought some songs through his touch on our iTunes account.
on the purchase history, it shows that the songs were bought, and when I go to the song itself in the iTunes store on the computer, it shows the song as being previously purchased. but yet, I cant seem to get it onto my iTunes, even though its showing fine on his touch. I should be able to get it, right?

Some music not syncing from iTunes to iPod Touch

I downloaded music from two different artists recently. I created playlists for both. I changed the number ordering on the playlists a bit. And now I no longer have those artist's music on my iPod. I have tried:
* Restoring original settings
* Double checked the file types on the music
* Manually added the music back on to the iPod, then synced
* Adding ALL of the music library onto my iPod (hoping those artists will be added too)
Nothing has worked. Any suggestions??

The song titles need to have a check mark next to them in order to sync.

Only iTunes purchased music can hava a cloud icon and then only if the music was purchased with the account listed in Settings>iTunes and App Store on the iPod.
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Solutions that I can think of (if I understand correctly)
A.)Check "manually manage music" and then drag the songs you want onto your iPod.
PROBLEMS: If you use this you will have to manually eject your iPod every time you connect it. If you don't know what I mean, DO NOT check "manually manage music" Also, when you rate things on your iPod with this option on, the ratings will not transfer to the computer, and the rated songs will not move in/out of smart playlists on your iPod. Last, you will obviously have to manually manage your music.
B.)Copy all music to one computer.
PROBLEMS:This will eat up space on your hard drive. Also, if you have used up all of the computers that you are allowed to play your music on, you will not be able to play them.

It doesn't quite work that way. Transfer your music from the old computer to the new one. Then, sync the iPod.

Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from a computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing. If you want to remove them all then normally you could just sync an empty folder (in terms of photos) to the iPad, but as you don't want to sync at the moment you can't do that.
You can reset the iPad back to factory settings and start from scratch with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings

Why is the syncing so slow when I sync my 3rd gen iPod touch?

I am currently syncing my 3rd gen iPod touch to the newest version of iTunes. It is still "backing up the iPod" and it is still not done after 15 minutes. I have come to the end and I am uncertain about trying to reset my I-pod touch to the factory settings. I was satisfied with the older version of i-tunes. The best way to manage your music when you have multiple iPods is to change the settings under "Options" so that you manually manage your music instead of it doing an automatic synch each time you connect. To add only the songs you want, highlight them and then "click and drag" them to your iPod. This way none of your daughter's music gets added and you're not in danger of deleting your playlist as well. It will show you how many songs you've added and you can then click on your iPod to verify. To delete her songs off your iPod now, click on the music tab under your iPod so show everything you have stored. Find those songs you want to delete, click on them to highlight then go up to the Edit window and click delete. This will erase them off your iPod but be careful when you highlight. I did that and then had to reload a cd on my boyfriend's, lol. hope this helps
