Old pc crashed. Lost everything. Installed ITunes on new pc and will not let me sync old library even if selecting transfer purchases! HELP!!!
My pc crashed and I lost everything. I had my old ITunes installed on it. I since bought a new pc and installed ITunes and its not letting me sync it saying still connected to old library and even when I choose transfer purchases still not letting me. What do I need to do? Please help!!!!

You cannot sync it with a library that no longer exists,
Transfer purchases then sync it with this new library.

michaelUninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons -
I purchased a new computer i cannot sync my phone"s music to the new computer. alll my music is on the iPhone i need to sync it to computer it should be on my iTunes account it conects through internet but it is not there when i try to sync the phone it says it will erase it and replace it with the new library which contanes nothing could they make this iJoke crap a little more complicated . any help would be appreciated maybe my best bet would be through the iphone in the trash and buy a samsung or an HTC please help
Did you authorize your new computer in iTunes under the Store menu?

I downloaded the new update for IOS 5.1 for my iphone 3GS but it accidentally got unplugged so i had to restore it. However when the update finished, it would nto let me restore my phone and sync my previous apps, videos, and music etc. back onto my phone due to "not enough memory" . My iphone is 32Gb and when it was last at its "normal" phase I had 20Gb of memory free to use. HELP ME!!! im going to europe soon and i need my phone asap!
yes i did but it didnt work. it now says its synced with all my stuff on it however the screen on my iphone is like when its brand new and says to connect to itunes even though i already am..

I am installing itunes to a laptop and have not sync device to this lap. It is saying that it must first restore device. The problem is I have over 2000 pictures and don't want to lose them. Now my phone is in restore mode and I don't know what to do. I don't want to proceed and loose these very important photos of family. What do I do to get it out of restore mode? My phone will not allow me to do anything to it at this point. I have the itunes downloaded on the laptop now. When I push the button for the phone it just shows Itunes and plug. I can't even call or open phone up.
Unfortunately... Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...

Using a computer, other than the one you have regularily been Syncing and Backing up to, was the begining of your issue. -
iTunes 11.0.1.12 and Windows 7 (32 bit, latest version). iTunes crashes frequently (Windows message : "iTunes has stopped working and will be closed"). I may be trying to search for an App. or book (or anything else), trying to access iTunes store, checking for updates to Apps., inputting my password, etc. etc. I have uninstalled iTunes several times, reinstalled several times, but the error persists. I tried the iTunes 10 suggested fix of running in safe mode, but iTunes again crashed when I was trying to create a new ID.

Under Windows 7 you will want to use the Programs and Features Control Panel to remove your installation. I would recommend verifying that Photoshop Lightroom is removed from the list of installed applications. -

ITunes will not let me sync my iPad 2...
iTunes will not let me sync my 8 month old, previously synced iPad 2. It is no longer recognized over Wi-Fi and when i plug it in via USB I am given the 'Set Up Your iPad' screen. I have tried restoring from a backup, and that successfully restores my iPad but iTunes still will not recognize this. My only options remain 'setup as a new iPad' or 'Restore from the backup...'
Any ideas what I should do? I have tried both soft and hard reboots, closed/reopened itunes, rebooted my MacBook...nothing has worked. Should I suck it up and try resetting to the factory settings? Or does this sound more like an issue with the iPad?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated - ThanksISSURE RESOLVED - there was an interupted/corrupt backup of this device that had to be deleted. After deleting this backup file, iPad was recognized without issue...only wish is hadnt tried 'restoring from backup' first since my settings were reverted to that previous date once issue was resolved.

I have used your info to give my two iPads different names. My problem is that my old iPad still has the old email in the Apple ID pop up so it will not let me sign in. I checked my info in the manage my account page and there is my email as primary, which allows me to sign in for apps, etc on the newiPad air, but when I try to update or buy an App on the old iPad, the old email is in the pop up and will not let me sign in.
How do I change the email in the old iPad to match the new iPad????
The Old email is on my manage my account page as a verified ALTERNATE email.We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Have you created a new account or updated your existing account ? All content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it, so if you have created a new account then all of your existing downloads will remain tied to your old account.
If you've updated your existing account then try tapping on the id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and log out of it and then log back in with the updated id so as to 'refresh' the account on it. -
When I open iTunes, it will not allow me to preview or download TV shows. The preview and download options are gray and will not let me view them. I have tried installing the latest Quicktime but it tells me that I have to do software update and when I do, Quicktime does not appear to need an update. I have no idea what to do
Click on your preference and check the Parental tab for possible restrictions. Open iTunes, then click the iTunes menu, select preferences after the window opens click on the Parental icon, take a look at the content restrictions section.

iTunes in Mac OS X Tiger is outdated. Open > Software Update to install the latest iTunes version for Tiger.
If you need iTunes 10.7 or a newer version, you have to upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. First, check that your Mac is supported > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp575 If it is, buy Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
After buying Snow Leopard, make a backup of your data, insert the DVD and upgrade to Snow Leopard. After upgrading, open > Software Update, and install the latest Snow Leopard version. Finally, run Software Update again to install iTunes 11.0.4. If you want to install iTunes 10.7 instead, download it from the Apple website > http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1576
