Old PC has Firefox on Windows XP, & new PC has Firefox on Windows 7; I want to move tabs from old PC to new PC--How?

My older PC has Firefox on it with Windows XP. My new PC also has Firefox with Windows 7. How do I transfer the information on all the tabs on the old PC to the new PC?

When you say "tabs" do you mean your Bookmarks?
For best results:

For Firefox 4-5, "Organize Bookmarks" changed to "Show All Bookmarks", and on the Firefox menu (orange button) you just click Bookmarks.
(2) On your new computer, import that HTML file. Can I set up a new window to open without all the tabs from the current window opwning?

I have a new computer at work with what must be a new version of firefox. I use multiple windows to do my job. When I open a new window, all the tabs from the current window open in the new one. I am wondering how to configure a new window to open with either a blank page or just my homepage?

I restarted Firefox and changed the homepage settings a to a different choice and back to the desired page then restarted Firefox again. This eliminated all the initial tabs from opening from opening in the new window. I am not sure how all the pages were cached or what I should have done but I no longer have this issue.

If I understand you correctly, you are asking how to resize your partitions for MacOS and Windows (Boot Camp) you don't want to reboot the computer to do it. If that is correct, then I don't know of any way for you to do what you want. In order to resize the partitions, you will need to reboot the OS that is running from the partitions, preferably exit the OS, resize the partitions, then restart the OS, so it has a clean view of the disk.

As I mentioned earlier, the Pages v5.5 document architecture is alien to Pages v5.2.2 on Mavericks. Yes, you can drag/drop the v5.5 document onto an open Pages for iCloud beta session. No, you cannot download this v5.5 document to Mavericks, and successfully open it in Pages v5.2.2. You get this familiar greeting.
Plan B is to open the document in Pages for iCloud beta. On the toolbar, click the Wrench icon, and choose Download a copy, and then pick Word. By the time you go through all this nonsense, you could have selected Share > Send a Copy > Mail > Word and opened via email on Mavericks.
Of course, if one had started their word processing in Office for Mac 2011 Word, this obtuse means of backward document sharing would have been an non-event.

Is my Valet M20 compatible with Windows 8.1 - Need to move it from One Laptop to Another

I currently have my Valet on my old Dell Laptop running Windows 7. The Dell is ready to crash. I tried to load the Cisco M20 on my laptop running Windows 8 with the Key it seemed fine. I rebooted the laptop now it can't seem to find the software. I guess I have two questions:
1. Is Valet M20 compatible with Windows 8.1

If you’re referring to the Linksys Connect Software, it’s not compatible yet with Windows 8.1 so you won’t be able to move it. However you can still manage it using the router’s web-based setup page. For detailed instructions, click here.

With the previous version of firefox, I could drag a tab from one window to another window. (and if there was only one tab left in that window, it would automatically close that window because there were no more tabs open in it)

The internet updated without me knowing and now i can not pull tabs down to make a new window or change the order of tabs and i can't find out how to get back

I open it and I come to find out I can not move the tabs over to the right or the left one spot or two spots they just won't move unless I close them. I use to be able to move there anywhere i wanted or pull down and it became it's own window. Now I have to right click to make it a new window and then I can't drag and drop other tabs into it to make a window with several tabs. How do I get this back to the way it was before?

Every time I open a new Window, it opens with a second tab. With "my" top sites. How can I undo this? I made a screenshot, if necessary.

When I open a new window, it opens 2 tabs. First is the requested url. Second is a tab without an adress. The second tab looks like some kind of touchscreen buttons for smartphones? I guess, it's an Firefox feature.
I tried about:config and changed browser.newtab.url, checked starting window, etc. etc. Nothing helped.
How can I keep my Firefox from opening this tab? Please help!

I have a an external hard drive formatted for Windows, and I want to move those files to a new hard drive formatted for both Windows and OS. Is this possible?

I just purchased a MB Air 13", as well as a Seagate Slim Backup Plus. I have an older external hard drive that I was using with a Dell laptop. I would like to get the files off of the older external hard drive, and onto the new Seagate drive. Is this possible? I'd also like to be able to add files going forward to the Seagate from either a PC or a Mac and be able to view/use them on the MB Air 13".

You will have to format the Seagate external HDD to a format common to both Mac and PC such as ExFAT. That should allow you to transfer files from the old HDD and still allow you to use with your MBA.

I am moving from my 2007 Late, 13 inch Macbook to a new Macbook Pro, Retina, 15 inch, 2013 Early. I am not sure how best to do this and stay within the proper guidelines for Copyright.

If you have iWork installed from a retail box you need to use that DVD to install on the new Mac. If your purchase was a "single-user" license (actually single computer), you will need to delete the iWork folder from the Applications folder on the older Mac to stay within the software license. Unlike other software companies, Apple doesn't track installations.

Priscilla, welcome to discussions! I had to do the same thing abot 6 weeks ago when moving from a PC to an iMac. I use a 3rd party app, iPodRip, that worked like a charm. Recovered all music, playlists, etc. of the iPod to the Mac, didn't lose a thing. You can find it at versiontracker.com. It's freeware for something like the first 8 or 9 times you use it. Once I had all the music on the Mac, I restored the iPod to read on a Mac & I was up & running. Post back if you have questions.

It appears to my that a Zynga toolbar that I had installed months ago has been replaced by some other toolbar, possibly Russian, possibly from someone in Savannah Georgia. How can I get rid of it and get my Zynga toolbar back?

I see a toolbar that has some links to a Russian url (rockhomi.ru) and some buttons in Cyrllic and a button indicating weather conditions in Savannah, Georgia. That toolbar has replaced my Zynga game toolbar (it is called the Zynga toolbar under the view/toolbar menu but it is not)

I opened Firefox after a couple of hours offline and the Zynga toolbar has returned so you can close this issue if you want.
