Old Picture New PC

For quite a while ago i got a new computer, i installed skype and everything was still there, profile picture etc. But now i want to change my profile picture, but the one i have now is from a time with one of my friends, and i really don't want to delete it. I was wondering if there was a way to download the picture or it was somewhere on the internet for me to find. If so, please let me know.

That's not easy.  The Windows migration tool makes a new user account, and you can't prevent it.
You may be able to transfer what you want manually, but it's not quick or easy.  See Transferring files from one User Account to another.

You do NOT have duplicates.  This is how Apple handles photos.
Just as a song is in your Itunes Library and that exact same song can be accessed from a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos can be accessed from the album.

  • HT201317 Is it possible to see all my old pictures I've taken on my iPad, oacn my new Mac?

Is it possible to see all my old pictures I've taken on my iPad, oacn my new Mac?

Sure.  You can import camera roll photos to iPhoto as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  If these photo stream photos aren't in your camera roll, save them to the camera roll and then import them.  To do this open the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.
There are also apps that will transfer them to your Mac over wifi, such as PhotoSync.

Once I find the back up file how do I get in onto my phone without the restrictions code going back on too?
You don't... If you restore the backup, it will restore the restrictions passcode.
Do you have your contacts, calendar, etc, synced to your computer? I'm not asking if you backed up, I'm asking if you synced... In other words, if you open Outlook, or Windows Address Book (I'm assuming you use a PC) are your contacts there?
If you have not been syncing your contacts, etc, you may have to restore so that you can set up the sync, get the contact data off the phone, then set it up as a new phone again, do not restore the backup, and set up the sync with your address book.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
What do you mean by scanned, which app do you usually view them in.

  • Cannot restore old pictures on new printer

My old HP printer would let me modify any scan of a picture. I could crop, restore faded color, change the enitre picture to make old pictures look like new. With my new All-in-one Deskject 3052A, I cannot do any of this, therefore restoring my old pictures is not possible.  Is there any program that will allow me to do this again?
    Thanks!

I know this an old post but did you find a printer that has the color restoration option since I'm in the same situation.

  • HT5902 How do I get my old pictures in my photostream onto my new iPhone?

How do I get my old pictures that are already in my photostream to download onto my new iPhone 5s?

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photo stream photos will remain on your devices until deleted.  When you enabled photo stream on your 5s you would have only received photos from the last 30 days.  If you want to stream the older photos to your 5s, create a shared stream that includes the photos and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  You can then either save them to the camera roll on your 5s and delete the shared stream or just leave things as they are.

  • How can I get my old pictures onto my android?

I was wondering how I can get my old pictures onto my android from my Verizon account?

    Which phone do you have?
Easiest way is to change the storage location to the removable SD card then put that in your other phone (provided it has an SD card slot)
Other options Change storage to SD card then use a computer to transfer to the new phone
Plug old phone into the computer, load the driver and copy them off the old phone to the computer, then plug new phone in and copy them to the new phone
Download JS Backup from the Play store onto both phones (provided the new one is an android as well) then on the old phone use the Device to device transfer method to create a backup, and on the new phone use the device to device import to import the pics.
Whatever you do.... STAY AWAY from Verizon Cloud. Chances are you will never see all of your pictures again and will have tons of trouble getting to them to move or do anything with them.  If you want to use a Cloud Storage, get Dropbox on your old phone and new phone, move the pics into dropbox then onto the new phone.

Photos are stored in your home folder (~pictures).

  • How do I get my old pictures back? They were said to be backed up.

Recently, I synced my iPhone with my old laptop, which contained about 6000 pictures. A few days after that, I reformatted my computer which meant those picture files are only left on my iPhone.
Yesterday, i synced my iPhone with my new desktop (although I only wanted to sync my music), and ended up losing all 6000 pictures that I had. Before losing those pics and during the syncing, I saw that iTunes were backing up my files. Question is, how do I get my old pictures back? =( Please help me. =(

Very sorry, but you cannot get them back from the phone or its backup. Photos synced from a computer _are not_ backed up as part of the iPhone backup process (only Camera Roll pics, those actually shot with the iPhone, are backed up). See this kbase article for info on what is and isn't backed up.
Hopefully, you have an existing backup of the pics on an external drive, etc., or some other way to get the pics back (originals on CDs, prints to scan, etc.). If the pics were still on the phone, 3rd party software could have been used to get them off (although at reduced quality, since pics synced to the phone are reduced to ~0.6 megapixel images).

  • How do I get old Pictures back?

I´ve just downloaded Apple ITunes and after installing and Configuring it suddendly all was gone. How do I get my old pictures back?

Installing iTunes on your computer does not affect the content of your phone.
If/when you plugged your phone into the computer after installing iTunes, any number of things could have taken place...
    What exactly did you do?
If you were prompted to set up your phone as a new device and you said yes, then it was not backed up before it was configured.  If you did not have them in PhotoStream or already extracted as you would from any other digital camera, they are likely gone.

  • Old pictures on the desktop and invisible dock when I change user

I have a late 2011 macbook pro with Mountain Lion installed. This problem came out with this OS. In practice, when I log in with my secondary account (without password) and change to the administrator account (with password), the Mac loads old pictures on the desktop, and the thing where the dock's icons usually stand is invisible.
This appears not to be shown when I log back into the secondary one and re-log in the Admin.
Why this happens? And how do I fix it? Help please, it's getting quite annoying...
    Thank you

Most likely one of the two computers has a corrupt data which is not allowing the Sync to complete.
The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.
'''''Note:''' When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences.'' See the [[Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings]] article for more information.
    To Refresh Firefox:
    # Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
#*Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''Troubleshooting Information''. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
#*If you're unable to access the Help menu, type '''about:support''' in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
#At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
#Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
#Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
