Old site keeps showing up in Google search

The Problem:
I was using iWeb to host my website a year ago, but have since moved to HostGator. I never had a personalized domain name attached to the iWeb site, and I dont remember verifying the site with google, but for some reason the old site always shows up when I google my name instead of the new Hostgator site I just registered with google.
What I want to do:
I just want to disable the old site that is no longer in use. It's unfinished, and unprofessional, and I do not want it popping up in search results where my new hostgator site should be popping up.
Any suggestions?

After publishing new site, old site keeps showing

I just published a new site, paid and activated it in Business Catalyst WebBasic+ plan, replaced the DNS settings, and the old site keeps appearing.
One funny thing is that in the site manager, all the good files are there but when I try to edit the Hostname record in the dropdown menu of the Homepage the structure of the old site appears ?????. When I publish the site again, the old site keeps appearing.
I cleared all my caches in all my browsers, same result.
Any ideas ?

Hi. I am sorry you are having issues with your email and I can certainly look into it for you. When did this start happening? Dif you download any applications before this started happening? Try to delete that particular email account and set it up again to see if that works.

Old accounts keep showing

Hi.
I need advice for Mail 5.3 on iMac with OSX 10.7.5
I deleted a couple of old accounts time ago.
Now when I open a message received in my new account, if I click my name as a receiver the old accounts keep showing, even though grayed out.
Is there a way to get rid of these accounts?

Thank you sanjampet, tried your suggestion but the accounts I want to delete do not appear in the V2 folder.
Of the two accounts, one was a hotmail.com and the other was yahoo.com, both unused for years.
They were never sync with anything (like Mobileme or others).

OLd iWeb site keeps showing up...

Hi.
I have published my site to replace the old one.
When I visit the site in Safari, the old site shows up.
I have cleared my cache
I have used iDisk and deleted all the folders and files under the iWeb folder
I then republish the new site
I visit the site in Safari
The old site shows up!
The only thing that seesm to work is when the old site is displayed in Safari, I type a "?" and refresh and I get my new page.
Does it take some time for the Mac servers to somehow deliver the new pages? The old pages are not in my iWeb app, or on the iDisk?

You can empty the Safari cache but you have no control over what is served by your ISP.
Placing a ? at the end of the URL in the Address window should "force" a fresh page.

Password protected but still showing up in Google search

I've had a family website for a couple of years, always using the "private" site setting in iWeb, complete with user name and password. I just discovered that all the site's subpages show up in a Google search. When I say they show up, I mean that they have all my kids' photos and names and everything I've been trying to protect with the "private" setting.
Can anyone walk me through fixing this problem ASAP?

Apps are always associated with the AppleID that purchased them, you cannot use another AppleID with them,
So in order to update them you must use the credentials that were used to purchase them.
You can chnge the details (Name and Primary email) for an AppleID instead of creating a new one.

Why does my cursor keep disappearing in the Google search bar?

When using FF or Google Chrome, I've noticed that my cursor keeps disappearing when using the Google search bar. I've tried using all the about:config tips, I've downgraded to earlier versions, I've pressed F7, I've unchecked the "hide cursor while typing" option in my mouse properties, I've checked for driver updates, I've tried disabling all add-ons and plug-ins, and I've checked another computer in our home as well. Same thing there. This seems to have become a problem in the last few days. IE seems unaffected by it. Just FF and Chrome.

No sir, there are no other tabs open, when it happens. For now, I've found a workaround, and I invite you to test it yourself.
I've been working on this problem all day. I've noticed that the cursor blinks very slowly in the Google search bar. If you press a key while the cursor is blinking "off", it will stay off until you let go of what key you're pressing. Conversely, if you press a key while the cursor is blinking "on", the cursor will remain visible as you type.
In IE, the cursor blinks much more rapidly, and blinks more "on" than "off." As a result the cursor remains on, no matter what you type or when, or what key you press, including the spacebar. This is not the case in FF or Chrome.
It was suggested in the Google forums that disabling "autocomplete" has helped with this problem. I followed the instructions and successfully disabled the "auto-complete" feature on Google. When I did that, I immediately noticed that the cursor blink speed doubled, like what I'm used to seeing. Further, no matter what I did, the cursor did NOT disappear anymore.

Go there and see if you notice a difference in the blink speed of the cursor. On my computer, the difference is drastic. While I do enjoy "auto-complete" and will miss this feature, I generally don't rely on it, and much prefer a consistent cursor.
I greatly look forward to your feedback on this. If you figure out a way to have Google work normally without this workaround, I will be forever in your debt.

I have created a new website using iWeb 2009 which has been uploaded successfuly. The Website's URL is: WWW.Sewingbug.net.

Looking at a previous post on this site from 2007 with the same issue, I discovered that a text box with this template holder phrase was hiding behind a photo I placed on the website Welcome Page.
I deleted that text box and I have gone through the welcome page and deleted all of the text boxes templates that were on the page. There is no sign of a "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet" on that welcome page.
I have published the site again but the problem persists. I still get the "Lorem......" when running a search with google as shown above.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

My old username keeps poping up the the cloid and it will not let me enter or give me the old passord even though some settings are working propely itunes ect..

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
If this is happening on your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.

I changed my AppleID / email address after my old email expired, and now whenever I go to sign into iCloud on my computer it still shows my OLD AppleID in the log-in and it won't let me change it. So I can't sign into iCloud! I can still sign into iTunes though from my iPhone and laptop, but iCloud isn't working anymore, where do I go to update my AppleID in the log-in for iCloud???

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

On your iPad? The reason I ask is because you posted in the Mac App Store forum for the Mac OS X.
Tap Settings > Store > Apple ID
Type in the correct Apple ID and password.

We are changing email providers. We also are using the new email address for our apple ID. I got my new email on my iphone 4s, but can't switch the new email for the old one to use for icloud and app store. My old email shows up, so I can't log in with my apple ID. Please help!

Sign out of the iCloud account (In System Preferences>iCloud)
Then sign back in with the correct ID and password.
