Old software version problem because it isn't supported

I have iPhone 3gs and i am facing many problems, even i can't install facebook or skype, can anyone help me to solve this problem

Unfortunately you can't. If there is an older version that the developer allows then when you try to install the newer version it will give a prompt to say something like "This app requires iOS 7.0 or above. Would you like to download an older version of the app?" If that message does not come up then there isn't a way to get the older versions.

Make sure you read the system requirements. Also install Rosetta if you want Power PC applications to run.
    Snow Leopard Purchase
Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion/Mavericks.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
    Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
8 GB or more of available space
If your computer isn’t compatible, you might be able to upgrade to Lion.

Check to make sure your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported after 10.6.

  • What software version does the iPhone from technical support have?

My old iPhone (2g) died and I brought it to Apple. The Genius Bar replaced it with the same type of phone, but what is the software version? Is the phone that tech support gave me software 2.0, 2.1, or some older version?

    Are you kidding?
You have the iphone. Look at it and see what version it has.

  • Application deployment wizard- General Information-.Publisher and Software version fields - HOWTO build installation to support?

    Hi all,
I have built an installer (using WIX) that gets deployed by SCCM Application Deployment.
The Publisher and Software version fields on the "General Information" page of "Create Application Wizard" do not get populated for the specified msi.
I looked in Orca at the Property table for the msi and the Manufactuer and ProductVersion values are filled in correctly.
Where is the SCCM "Create Application Wizard" looking for the "Publisher" and "Software version" values within the msi?  It would be very useful to the SCCM Administrator if these values get filled in automatically by using
    the values within the msi.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
If you could get the Manufactuer and ProductVersion values from Orca.
Use the following command creates a new application with the Manufactuer and ProductVersion.

  • Old Software Versions

I'm trying to move an application from one computer to another (XP to XP).  The application is for control of a stepper motor.  The control program is set up using LabView 6.1, MAX 2.2.0, and FlexMotion 5.1.5 and a 7344 motion control board.  We have newer versions of LabView but they have caused some timing problems so I' like to stick with the old one.  The problem is, I can't find any NI-Motion software to install that will give me MAX 2.2.0 and doesn't overwrite the FlexMotion 5.1.5.   I do not have my old NI-Motion CD, just newer ones (6.1.2)

    Hi Gary,
NI-Motion 5.2 is an update to FlexMotion 5.1.5 so it will overwrite the previous driver.  Based on the errors you are getting, I will bet that some of the VIs in your program have changed between FlexMotion and NI-Motion.  You can take a look at the block diagram and pretty easily spot the VIs that have changed and many times it is pretty intuitive to know which NI-Motion VI to use in replacement.

    End If
Can anyone explain to me why this doesn't work in the IF NAC version <> version.  We used the exact same code with a different application and it works fine.  The only difference is the other application has two decimal spaces other than three
as in this one. Does vbscript not like to read three decimal places?

Thanks tried it but it didn't work.  I figured out the problem though.  The DisplayName key from the registry had a space at the end of it.  So instead of "Cisco NAC Agent" as the proper display name, it was "Cisco
NAC Agent ".  Go figure.  Thanks for your help everyone!  Happy New Year!
Thanks for the explanation however immpossible it is.  The script would have had a completely different output if that were the case.
Here is the line that you would have seen: "WScript.StdOut.Write("NAC: No NAC Found...Installing...")"
I suspect we will never know what the issue was.

  • I have an upgrade version of logic studio (9.1.1.) which I want to run on an imac with 10.7.4 osx Lion and after a seemingly successful install it's telling me that this version of logic studio isn't supported by my osx...Can someone help me with this?

I also want to add that I've found the updates to logic pro 9.1.2 thru 9.1.7. and when I download them they tell me they are either not needed or don't seem to actually update anything.  Someone was saying that Logic Studio isn't a fan of Lion and I should install Snow Leopard, complete Logic updates and then re-install Lion.  PLEASE HELP!!!

    Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
Thanks, let me know if the update helps,
    Nathan

  • Software version- 10.4.11- won't support itunes

Hi- what is the simplest method of upgrading software (currently v10.4.11) to allow me to get latest itunes and thereby sync with pad and iphone?  Ideally to be able to sync via cloud.  Have iphone 4s and ipad2.  Don't mind buying a software upgrade as long as i can be sure it will work-thanks
    Iain

Go to the Apple menu in the upper left, About this Mac. What does it say for processor?
10.5.8 minimum is required for the latest version. You will need to find a copy of Leopard on eBay or elsewhere; Apple no longer sells it.

'Remote' app requirements are stated as "software version 3.1.3 or later". I am running 4.2.1 and when I try to download it says 4.3 required.
OK, I understand that new versions make use of facilities that come with new versions of IOS, but there is/was a version that runs on 3.1.3 and therefore, I assume 4.2.1. Where can I get the (old) version that runs on my IOS?
The app store seems to ignore all legacy equipment owners, and want me to spend loadsa money to get the latest shiny toy. It probably makes business sense, but I dislike companies that take that approach. This is my first venture into smart phones, and I like the IOS interface, but I'm not sure I can afford the maintenance.

This is standard for Apple.  While there is little official mention of the software support lifespan for equipment, typical support has been about 4-5 years for computers.  It strikes me that newer items, especially mobile devices, are not built as sturdily nor do they have the hardware upgrade capabilities required to keep up with newer systems.  When we bought an iPhone 4S we were told by the person in the store we'd probably be looking at a newer model in two years.  The iPhone 3G could be anywhere from 2 to 4 years old, putting it well into.
As for app availability, Apple typically pulls old software versions from its site when new versions appear.  If it is a non-Apple app then I guess it is up to the vendor. It is indeed tiresome but it is not at all unusual.  Since I only ever run used Macs, I download current versions even though my computer won't run them, stick them on a hard drive, then I have them when I upgrade to a newer used computer.  If you run older equipment you have to learn a different mode of operation to exist with the Apple 'new and innovative' but 'forget about the old' philosophy.

  • Which software version should I have?

I have a Silver vision box, and can't help but think I'm stuck on an old software version.
    Sys info tells me:-
    TV2 client version: 2.1.2295.1115(release)
    Platform os/version: wince/5.0.1400
    Bootstrap rom version: 1.1527
    Stb/CPU: pace philips_DiT9719_05_L3/297
    Is this old or current?
    Thanks

I've got the same model box as you, and it's on the same software version.
The silver boxes are now obsolete.  The chances are that BT will never do another update to the software for them.  They certainly can't be updated to the new software that is being rolled out on the later black boxes.

  • Ipod 120gb (think its a classic) software version

    Hello all
I have the above ipod. Itunes says it is at the current software level of 2.0.1, but I read there is a 2.0.4 available.
    Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if its a daft question!

    Hi 4008,
iPod Software 2.0.2 and greater are for the iPod classic 160GB so it sounds like you are up to date.

  • IPhoto "isn't supported by this architecture"?

On my iMac (circa late 2008), whenever I try to open iPhoto, a window pops up that says that the application can't be opened because it isn't supported by this architecture. The icon is no longer the sunset photo with the camera in front of it, its just a "no" sign (circle with a cross through it). Is there any way to recover iPhoto?

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.
