Old threads from last years appear in the iPad forum
When viewing the iPad forum on the iPad old threads from last year populate the threads listings. I used different browsers on the iPad besides Safari (both logged in and out) and it still happens. I haven't tried using Safari on OSX . Can someone please check this out using the iPad and OSX to see if they are experiencing the same thing. This started happening yesterday...

Firefox is saving one old month from last year and I can't manually clear it
I have adjusted my settings so that Firefox no longer saves my history. The strange thing is, I am unable to manually clear an old month's history (November 2013...it is now end of Jan 2014). In other words, when I click on it and try to clear...it remains there. I have tried reinstalling Firefox and it keeps preserving that month's history. When I click "history", there is nothing new there (as per my new settings) except for Nov 2013. Can I get rid of it?? Thanks

Try delete the places.sqlite file, before delete do a backup of your bookmarks:

In looking at my calendar for next year I found all the entries from last year were there as well as a few more I intended to delete January and just start over but everything was deleted including from icloud, Any way I can get those restored.

I bought a new MacBook Pro (Mac Os 10.8.4) when conecting my mobile broadband dongle (Huawei E122) the computer does not read it at all. I do not have problems when connecting it to my former computer (PC) and a Mac from last year. Any suggestions?

Yes, I did that. They have uppgrades for the dongles, but just untill Mac Os 10.7. Their solution is to buy a new modem from them or getting one for free if I sign a contract for 24 months! So, i think from that side not very helpful.
It is just that I do not want to buy a new modem, when it works in quite recent computers and after having spent money in the new Mac.

Since i got my iPhone 4S, Last year. it's the 8gb experminetal version. My phone's volume always appears. All the time. And since i got the iOS 8 yesterday. It got even worse, it won't get out anymore. I'm super mad. I don't know what's going on. Is it my case? But, i don't use a case anymore. It doesn't even lessen. And when i take pictures for like 10 seconds, i get like 50 photos. Without even clicking the button. This is a real problem for me Apple, and i need you to do something about it. I need an answer real soon.
I got Troubles too with iphone 4s with the new iOS 8, its unstable, apple said its for that model to but its not totally true, well few troubles disappear if you do this:
First you need to Sync your iphone like regular you do it, but check you could made a Saffety and restore back up manually in your computer.
then when this it's already done, disconnect your iphone, then restore your iphone as factory settings, beware! don't do this if you don't have your Saffety copy first!
when you restore your iphone as factory settings iTunes will ask you if this is a new phone or a previous phone, well, select previous iphone and select the back up copy you made, and let iTunes restore all, that fix a few issues in my phone, but the real problem its iOS 8 its not good for 4s. -
New message in Mail; old message from a year ago being opened
Okay, so here's a weird one. It is the second time it has happened in a week.
I go to open a new message, however when I open it an old message from a year ago opens up in its place. It isn't even a year to date issue. For instance today (October 15) I opened a message dated today, and it pulled up an old message from a completely different sender dated May 16, 2006. It is not doing it with all of my new messages that came in today just the most recent one or two.
Any ideas/help?
tx!What type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP, .Mac)? If IMAP or .Mac, try rebuilding the mailbox, i.e. select the mailbox in Mail and do Mailbox > Rebuild.

My daughter tried to upgrade her ipad, received as a gift from last year, with ios 7 last Saturday a.m.; since then she couldn't turn it on. I tried to follow your steps to recover it but wouldn't work(& I don't have recovery disc available). What do I do now?
Try using another computer. I had the same problem, repeated the given solution many times and each time it failed. Then I connected ipad to another computer and it worked immediately. Then I used the first computer to restore a backup.

CS6 AE crashing on opening files from last year (2012)
My comps from last year will not open now, and crashes AE when I go to open them. Plugins and AE seem all up to date. Would anyone know what might be causing this??
Currently using the latest CS6 AE v11.0.2.12 on a Win7 Professional service pk.1 64 bit. My system has 2 processors: intel xeon cpu E5-2609 0 @2.4GHz with 64 GB RAM 500GB SSD as local disk and 2TB hard drive.
The footage in the comps I am trying to open are .r3d files that have RedGiant effects applied (primatte key used mostly).. the error I am seeing in AE when it crashes on opening the comp is error:error4 in Edge Blur(25::241)
These comps opened fine when I was working on them last year, but now when I open a fresh AE and load any one of my saved files AE crashes and will not display the footage. I can open AE and start a new comp, but it is only when I open one of my saved files where it crashes.

I am working in a school. Last year we had one ipad cart which holds 30 ipads and one macbook for syncing. This year we bought another cart of 30 ipads, but not an extra macbook. Can I sync all 60 ipads to the one macbook computer?
In theory everything that you are saying sounds right to me.
I am not sure at all what the limitations are when using the iPad in education as far as how many iPads can sync to one iTunes account. I am going to take a stab in the dark here and guess that you can sync up to 49 iPads with one Mac and one iTunes account since the device that I found has 49 ports. How's that for an obvious guess?
But seriously, I don't how Apple treats volume licensing with a single iTunes account in education. You were using 30 iPads this past school year so we know that's not a problem. The device that I found has 49 ports so we assume that 49 iPads are OK as well. You would have to check with Apple as to what the limitations/rules arefor using a single iTunes account.
There has to be a way to sync as many iPads as you have students in those classes or the iPad in education would not be a viable option. What I don't know about is how you go about paying for that volume license or how it is implemented.
For personal use, you can use up to 10 devices with a single Apple ID/iTunes account. No more than 5 of those devices can be computers. -

You shouldn't have to change your iTunes account to not have to purchase it twice. If your devices are using different iTunes IDs, just purchase it on one device, then import it to your iTunes library by connecting the device to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Once in iTunes, you should be able to sync it to your other device (assuming both devices are syncing with the same iTunes library). (And even if they were syncing with separate libraries, you could use Home Sharing to copy the app from one library to the other.)

No, once removed, backups cannot be recovered. Also, Apple will remove backups after 180 days of inactivity, which sounds like what happened here.
