Older LW UI editor not compatible with Win2K

Require editing existing LW 2.3a code in Win2K or WinXP system. Need to emulate DOS box properly so as to fool DOS extender. Original environment was DOS 6.20 with EMM386. Error code in Win2K: DOS/16M [35]

Hello
In CVI 6.0, if you open up a .c file, go to Options >> Translate LW DOS Program. You would need to have your CVI DOS project loaded up before you try this. This should help you in converting your older UIR to the newer one that should work with CVI 6.0. CVI 5.x and above now only create 32 bit code.
I hope this helps

  • HPL Editor not compatible with Mavericks

Hi, so recently I've upgraded to mavericks and I've noticed that HPL Editor (used for amnesia the dark descent to make custom stories etc.) is not compatible, it always says the same thing:
Fatal Error: Could not load vertex buffer from mesh 'core_box.dae'
Its strange because every time I reinstall the editors it works just fine, but once I launch it the second time it gives me the error message
Is there a way to solve this?
I was thinking of reinstalling mavericks to mountainlion, but I cant find a way to do it without a backup from time machine, I started doing backups recently and I have none from os mountainlion.
Is there a download or something, cause I would really love to have my editors back, just to say there are also some amnesia issues related for example when I put it to 2880x1800 in a ration of 16:10, it just shows me the bottom corner of the screen, similar with some other games such as league of legends.
So thats it, please help I would love to get my editors and stuff back fully functioning.
    Thanks!

Same problem here as well, but good news they are working on a compatible Epson Scan software...
About Image Capture Pro, it is an Apple software, you will find it in System Preferences, Printers & Scanners, you should see your printer... then go on the "scan" window, then "open scanner" (your printer has to be on) then you can pretty much scan anything you want, just like Epson Scan...
That's what I'm doing since I started using Mavericks, and it works fine for me.
If it doesn't work, it means that your ICA Scanner Driver is not working since you upgraded to Mavericks... You need to download it again, you can use this site to get a new one:
    http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/SupportMavericks.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=y es
or you can use our own uk page
    http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesite/products/mainunits/support/10 990
you'll need to get "Epson Scan" in the "drivers" section, not the other one NOT WEB INSTALLER (I noticed there where 2 of these on the page and you don't get the ICA driver with the second link) and it should download the ICA driver as well as Epson Scan.
Don't bother with epson scan (it doesn't work on Mavericks) and install the ICA package (double-click).
Try scanning using image capture pro and it should work.
PS: I tried dowloading it for you (epson374583eu.dmg) and the ICA driver is there, just dowload the right "epson scan" on the page

  • Cannot update to 3.5 on older MacPro and 3.5 not compatible with 3.4.5

It appears that you cannot update Aperture to 3.5 on older Macs. Worse yet the new update is not compatible with the previous version.
    The questions are  ---
Is this a temproary issue or a permanent issue?
Can I regress back to version 3.4.5 to get my compatibility back ?
I have multiple computers I use to work on my photography.
I use a older Mac Pro Vintage late 2007 that cannot be updated beyond OS 10.7.5. This is currently my primary photo computer.
With 3ghz Quad cores and over a terabyte of drive space no need to update yet except for not being able to load the latest OS.
I also use a MacBookPro Vintage Late 2011 and it was just updated to Mavericks. I use this to edit my photos on the go.
I will consider updating to the latest Mac Pro when it becomes available but what to do until then and a warning to others.

Actually, I had this same problem - accidentally upgraded my library on my Mac Air to 3.5, but am not running Aperture 3.5 on any of my other, older Macs.  I *was* able to downgrade the library back to 3.4.5.  BAsically, I had to open the library on a computer running Aperture 3.4.5 in library repair mode (holding down command and option when opening).  In the ensuing dialog I had to choose to rebuild the library.  I first tried just repairing, and it seemed to work, but next time I opened Aperture I got the "library can't be opened iwth an older version of Aperture" message.  Rebuilding it seems to have done the trick.
A more detailed explanation (though not written for this particular scenario) is here:
         http://www.apertureexpert.com/faq/common-aperture-questions-issues-and-rep/how-d o-i-repair-or-rebuild-my-aperture-library-or-permission.html
Having restored the library to 3.4.5 format, I downgraded Aperture on my Air to 3.4.5 as well and it's been smooth sailing.  Just make sure you have Mavericks set up to *NOT* automatically update your apps, or you'll end up in the same situtation all over again when it silently upgrades Aperture to 3.5 again.
    Good luck!

  • When we installed Firefox 4.0, found it is not compatible with Trend Micro. How can I go back to the older version of Firefox until Trend builds a compatible version??

On add-ons manager, I see that Trend Micro NSC Firefox Extention 6.5.0.1234 is not compatible with Firefox 4.0.1. I have contacted Trend and been told that their builders have not yet created a product that is compatible. I think this means that I should revert to an older version of Firefox until my internet security is updated. How do I do this? I'm clueless. :) Or, is there a better solution?

  • I need a prior version of firefox...version 1.5 because my payroll department software is not compatible with firefox 6.0... how do I get the other - older - version ??

my payroll department uses eSAP payroll program. It is NOT compatible with your new version...6.0. I need your older version 1.5 so i can access my payroll records. I am currently being forced to use Internet Explorer and I absolutely HATE that software.
please help !!! How do I get the older version? Version 1.5 - thank you.

I would hope the problem is that Firefox 5 is not compatible with some of McAfee's additional add-ons. It will be rather worrying if it has a problem with the McAfee security programs themselves. Please state exactly which software and version you are having problems with.
There are known issues with McAfee's Site Advisor [/questions/839953#answer-205178] but it is hoped McAfee will solve that in a few weeks.

  • Print Studio Pro plugin is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 Editor for Mac

It appears that the latest version of Print Studio Pro PlugIn is not compatible with the Editor version of Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac as available on the App store.  The install gives an error saying that it did not find a supported version of Photoshop Elements. This error has been reported before for Elements version 12 but was reportedly fixed in the latest version of Print Studio Pro. Now it appears that this version may support Elements 12 for Mac but not the Editor only version from the app store. Any suggestions for work-around on this?

"Any suggestions for work-around on this?"
    No!
Not untill Mac and Adobe and Canon get their collective acts together.  Mac (Apple) has the bad habit of upgrading their stuff and not being forthcoming with the particulars given to 3rd party companies like Canon and Adobe.
Besides the cost difference of Mac's the compatibility issues are it's worst features.

  • ICloud apps Not Compatible with older versions if iWorks

    CAUTION
If you haven't upgraded to the new version of iWorks that was released with Mavericks today, do NOT open any of your files in iCloud. If you do, you will no longer be able to open them with your older versions of the iWorks apps.
For example, Apple today released Pages version 5.0. The last version of Pages was 4.3 (released in Dec 2012). If you create a new document in Pages 4.3, save it to iCloud and then open it in iCloud using Safari, you will no longer be able to open the same document in Pages 4.3. When you try, you'll get an error that you need a newer version of Pages.
In other words, it's now imperative that you upgrade to the latest version of the iWorks apps that were released today as the earlier versions are NOT compatible with the iCloud apps.
    Hope this helps.

The FAQ for iPad Pages has always made it clear that Pages import and export formats were Pages 09 only.  Nobody here can tell why Apple made it that way, but you can give them your views here:

    Hey guys,
This is the problem. My father just got an iPhone 5. He has a Macbook Pro 2009 with OS X 10.5.8.  The iPhone is not compatible with this version since the iTunes is an older version as well. At our local Apple store in my home country, they told him he needs to upgrade (which I agree of) but that the memory of this computer is not enough to hold the newer OS.
Please help, he does not really agree with buying a new computer just because of the versions.
Thank you, I appreciate your help.

This is what I have. Thank you so much rdr4lfe.

  • Tried updating firefox but it is not compatible with leopard op. If I try to re-install the older version will my bookmarks still be there?

Tried updating firefox but it is not compatible with leopard op. If I try to re-install the older version will my bookmarks still be there?

Current Firefox versions require a Mac with an Intel processor and OS X 10.6.
Firefox 16 is the last version that runs on Intel Mac OS X 10.5.
You would have to update to OS X 10.6 to be able to use current Firefox releases.

  • I am facing troubles as Firebug is not compatible with this version, I dont want to use any older version. please let me know how to fix this or if you have any other workaround.

I am facing a lot of troubles as Firebug and my other add-ons are not compatible with the new releases of firefox.
I don't want to switch to any other older version of firefox...
Please let me know how to fix this.. or I request you to provide a solution / work around ASAP.
    Thanks...

Firebug has development versions that should work in Firefox 4 beta builds. Try the latest version (1.6X.ob1) available from http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.6X/
This is a beta version of Firebug.
For other add-ons marked as incompatible, you can install the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/15003 Add-on Compatibility Reporter], this will enable all of your add-ons and you can test to see if they work. If the add-ons do not work you can disable them. Note that the current release version of Firebug will not work, you will need to use the beta version.
