Older version of Bonjour
Apparently I have the older version of Bonjour, and iTunes 9.2 will not download until it is removed, need help in trying to remove it. Do not want to format my computer to fix this stupid problem.
if you havent fixed it yet I thinck i have an anwer for you i had the same problem and i could not get rid of that bonjour. I even talked to an apple manager and he gave me this website that didnt work. Ok first things first back up your itunes because your gonna have to delete everything from apple.
1. Uninstal everything you can from itunes.
2. download this software to unistall bonjour and itunes. http://www.revouninstaller.com/
3. select the programs you want to uninstall scan and select all folders and delete.
If you go back to control panel add and remove programs and bonjour and itunes are not there you should be done. Now install the latest Itunes and restore.

How can i delete an 'older version of bonjour'
whenever i try and install the new itunes software, it comes up with an error message during the installatiion process saying that it can't delete the older version of bonjour. When i try and do it in install/uninstall progammes on control panel it won't let me uninstall bonjour either.
Basically, i can't download any new itunes software at the moment, so what can i do?Try the new Microsoft uninstall tool that was recently released.

Please help with this problem. When trying to install itunes on my HP520 PC, I get the error message (unable to remove the older version of Bonjour as well as the message unable to remove the older version of Apple software update).
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get aCode 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Updateentries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Next, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple Website:

I tried to update itunes and keep getting these messages..the older version of Bonjour cannot be removed..and The older version of Apple software update cannot be removed. How do i fix this does anyone know? I recently got an IPhone 4 and don't understand all this stuff yet. Thanks

When installing Itunes, the following error messages appear:
1) The older version of Bonjour can not be removed. Contact your technical support group.
2) Itunes installation has been interrupted, please try again later (or something similar).
As a home user, I have no technical support group so I am turning to you, discussion followers, for assistance. I removed Quicktime, Itunes, Bonjour, and all other apple software according to the removing and reinstalling Itunes article. I used CCleaner to remove traces of the programs in the registry. When reinstalling, Quicktime installs successfully, but Itunes installation stops with the error messages above. I have deleted the temp folder, updated windows, used selected startup before installing, and all attempts end the same way. I'm not sure why I am getting this error, when Bonjour is not on my system to begin with. I appreciate any advice you can offer.1) The older version of Bonjour can not be removed. Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -
I have Windows XP, 32 bit version 2002 Svc Pack 2 and when trying to download iTunes 10.5.1 I am getting the following "The older version of Bonjour cannot be removed. Contact your technical support." I've tried a good number of remedies to no avail. Can anyone help?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you are running 64-bit Windows and the above steps haven't helped try installing the version of iTunes that can be downloaded from this support document. iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
If you still have no luck try reinstalling iTunes 12.0, links in the user tip.

Cannot uninstall older version of bonjour
When installing itunes update 10.4 on my pc using windows xp. Error message cannot uninstall older version of bonjour. I cannot delete this file manually using add delete programme either. Any ideas?

I have an older version of iTunes on my system. I have tried to install the upgrade and it talls me that I have an older version of Bonjour and that it can not remove it. I have also tried to uninstall what is on my system and it will not do it. Help?

Installing iTunes 10.3 and removing older version of Bonjour error
I'm trying to install iTunes version 10.3 on my laptop. During the installation an error message occurs "The older version of Bonjour cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group." At the end of the installation process another message occurs 'The installer process was interrupted before the requested process for iTunes could be completed. Your system has not been modified."
I've tried renaming and deleting the Bonjour files with no success after several weeks of trying to fix.. Finally did a system restore and gave up, but my sister bought a new Shuffle on the weekend but in needs at least iTunes 10.0. I have iTunes 8.0.2.20 on my laptop.
