OLE Objects - Can I open a browser object within my forms

Hi There! My company use forms on the web. Now i'm trying to open, using OLE, a browser object in the same window of the forms so that users can navigate at the same time that they use the forms without changing the window/application. Has any one tried this ? Any help,ideas,documents,etc would be great ! Thanks in advance!

I can't open the browser. I double click and nothing happens. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but every time I do this it tells me I have to close Firefox first! I have restarted and then tried downloading to no avail b/c I get the same message.

And I used window.open(appointment to target) of javascript for opening only one window.
However When I click the link it opens in a new window every time.

I can't open Google Browser window

I use Mac os 10.6.8 and today my computer was really slow so I decided to shut down all open programs including Google Chrome. However, after I restarted the computer, the Google Chrome browser wouldn't open.
This has happened to me before several times and it was a simple matter of restarting the computer and it would work again.
However, it wouldn't do this.
I went to Library and saved the bookmarks and bookmarks.bak files.
I then downloaded Google Chrome.dmg and then replaced the old Google chrome in Apps with the new one. However, the browser window still wouldn't open.
I tried trashing everything - old version and new version and then installing Google Chrome again but the window still doesn't open.
I don't know if this is related but I installed CNet downloader recently by mistake and this changed all my browsers - I had new search engines and so on put in there by CNet downloader.
I had to reset some of the settings in Chrome.
I want to get rid of the downloader but don't know where to find it to get rid of it.
I am worried that the downloader from CNET is causing problems with opening Chrome because I know Yahoo! and Google are competitors ...
I may be being paranoid here. It's just that I have never had such a big problem opening Google Chrome in the past.
I really depend on Chrome for everything as a browser. How can I get the browser to open? I haven't deleted the Chrome folder in the Library/Application Support because I am not technically minded and I don't want to delete something and regret it later.
However, I have been trying to install and open the Chrome browser several times now, deleting the application from the Applications folder several times, restarting my computer, to no avail.
So I have come here to get help as I browsed the web but did not find anything helpful especially for mac users.

I deleted everything - Chrome from Applications and the Chrome folder from Library/Applications Support and then I reinstalled Chrome again. And I also went to System Preferences and I went to Security and Advanced and then added Google Chrome to the list.
After I did this, I was able to get a working Chrome browser.
But I ran into another problem. Even though I had saved the bookmarks by copying the Bookmarks file onto an external drive, when it came to importing them (as an html file) into the new Chrome, using the Bookmarks manager, it didn't work. So I had to delete the Bookmarks file and bak file from the Library/Applications Support site and then place the saved bookmarks files there. And now the bookmarks appear fine in the new downloaded browser.
I think I should try and disable the automatic update of Google feature for the future because I think that's how the problem starts. (Also, I deleted a folder named Spigots from Library because I think that's the CNET downloader application that changes your browsers and changes search engines and adds other things as well.)

Since updating to 3.6.11 I can't open multiple browser windows. Windows 7 Pro

Using Win 7 Pro I've always been able to open multiple Firefox browser windows. Since updating to Firefox 3.6.11 I can only open one window at a time. I can still have multiple windows open using Internet Explorer or Chrome.

How can I open the browser on clicking a item in my JMenu

How can I open the IE with a webpage on clicking a item in my "Help" context menu in my application.
*. I have a Help menu with different help topics
*. In one of the item of the menu I want to provide a URL link which should open in the Default browser (IE/ Mozilla)

Updated to Firefox 4.0, now I can't open the browser.

I'm running a Mac OS X Version 10.4.11 Just updated to Firefox 4.0 after Yahoo advised that things would run better. Upgraded from Firefox 3.1.16 (I think).......now I cannot open the Firefox browser at all....it won't let me launch the browser. It says: "You cannot open the application "Firefox" because it is not supported on this system". How do I go back to the old version?.....at least I was able to launch it and use it? Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, Firefox 4 is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.4. You can download and reinstall the previous version (Firefox 3.6) from here: http://www.firefox.com/all-older.html
Or, if you have a PowerPC Mac, you can try this unofficial version of Firefox: http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Can't open web browser in solaris 10

I'm on the java desktop for solaris. I click on the browser it acts like it is going to open and then nothing happens. Is there something else I need to set up.

Right click on the Web Browser launcher and check the Properties for the launcher. Make sure what ever command is set to run exists on the filesystem (I believe it's set to /usr/sfw/bin/mozilla by default). Also, you can try running whatever command is set in the launcher from a terminal window, this way you should see if there is any error reported back.

Says I'm connected, but can't open a browser- PLEASE HELP!

I set up my Airport Express successfully, I thought, because when I open Internet Connect, it says I'm connected to the internet. But then when I try to open a web browser- Safari or Explorer- the pages don't load. And also, My AirPort never gives me a solid green. It flashes green once as soon as I plug it in, then stays yellow for a while, then flashes yellow (although maybe it's amber- I can't really tell. But I do know that it's not green, or solid, no matter how long I leave it on.) I don't understand what's going on and I'm so frustrated... I know it's probably very basic, but can anyone help me out with this?

Look at the IP address in your Network preference pane under AirPort and TCP/IP. Does the IP address start with 169?

I would like to be able to open a Microsoft Internet Explorer window from a LabView program generated address. A user entered address though a Front-Panel Control would be fine to start me off.
This would seem to be a simple task compared to all the other web related possibilities. I've tried DataSocket (which I now understand to be geared to sending data across the internet, not for generating or reading web sites) and System Exec (giving the �IEXPLORE www�� as the �command line� input. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I hope eventually to create a server application offering real time images from a device controlled by LabView (the controlling part already works) but this seems to be in the far far distance at the moment. Any
help or example would be greatly appreciated.

IDE, 3.2: Can execute open new browser

Is there a setting in the JDeveloper IDE that will force a new browser to open every time you run or debug a web application ?
At the moment JDev will reuse the currently opened browser which can be annoying especially if the browser is being used for something else.

I had recently had to shut down my firewall to add a printer. However firefox worked for a few days afterward just today decided not to be able to open. I can't open private browsing windows or tabs

Hi,
I don't know why but I couldn't open my private browsing windows anymore. All the windows I open via Files > New Private Window are not the ones with purple masks.
Could you please let me know what went wrong? Do I have bugs in my system?

If you run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history) then you won't get the purple mask because all windows that are opened are automatically in PB mode.

Can I open the browser in foxtabs in stead of homepage?

When I start firefox, it opens to my homepage.
In stead I want it to open "my top sites" in foxtabs, so I can choose which site I want to go to. Is this possible?

I don't think that is possible, the FoxTab add-on does not appear to have such a feature.
