OLTP data to view in pre-built reports

Hi Forum,
I have created few records in Siebel CRM eCommunications application to view the data in OBI Presentation services. Using DAC, I want to populate into W_ tables to view in OBI eCommunications pre-built reports.
So can you please guide me in achieving this cycle? Also please share me the links if any.

  • Prompts in Reports similar to Pre-built reports??

    Hi All,
There is a pre-built report called 'Top 10 opportunities' in 'Pipeline Analysis'. When we execute the report, it shows the prompts at the top (Fiscal Quarter, Fiscal year, Region). And depending upon the value user selects in these prompts the report data changes
I copied this report in different folder and tried to execute it through there. But then it don't give this prompts as in pre-built reports. Do you know how to connect these kind of prompts to the reports??
I tried to create a Dashboard prompt and link it to the report. But then it only works if I execute it through dashboard and if tried to execute the report from Report Tab then it does not show this prompts.
Please let me know if you have any input/suggestion on this
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi All,
I don’t think pre built reports are designed using narrative reports. I think these are designed by using dashboard prompts. We could do the same and design a dashboard page with prompt on top but it will not work in direct report.
The alternate to do the similar prompts in report is by using the pivot table view (but pivot view will work if you have at least one matrix field). So in pivot view you can define the prompts on top and filter the report by that. But the disadvantage of pivot prompts compare to dashboard prompts is, these will be slow.
Try out by pivot view. Hope should help

  • CRM On Demand pre Built reports

    Hi
Does anyone have a list of the fields and formulas used in the Siebel On Demand Sales pre built reports?
    Thank you
    Elizabeth
    [email protected]

    Elizabeth
As per my knowledge there is no full documentation available. But if you have enough time you can find this yourself.
Open the report in design mode, you will be able to open it, but not able to make changes and save (you can save as different name in different folder). you will get the all required details

  • Prompts in Pre-built reports

Does anybody know how the pre-built reports are made in regards to prompting?
    e.g. the top-10-oppty report:
At top you have a dashboard prompt and underneath the report, which gets filtered by the values of the prompt.
This analysis looks like a dashboard page but shows up under tab Reports.
    Any idea?
    Thx
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
This is something that Oracle have done which cannot be replicated when building custom reports. You'll need to create a dashboard page and add your report and prompt to it to replicate this behaviour.

  • Pre-built Tally reports

    Hi,
Is there any pre built reports in ByD based for Tally integration ?

I'm surprised this wasn't published before but try the instructions below
"Open the installation file(.exe file) and select WIN32 folder.
    Click on m29 .cab file,
Select auditing_rpt_en.biar. file and import it using Import Wizard.
Select auditing_db_mySql.biar.file of the uinverse and import using Import Wizard.
Default: 28 reports and auditing universe of SQL server database are obtained.
Note: For Business Objects XI R3.0 the path for auditing cab file is <Installation Directory>:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Samples
and then follow the above steps 3 and 4"

  • Editing Pre-built quick list report - access denied?

I tried to edit a pre-build quick list report but I get an access denied error when trying to save it?
Can someone confirm if this is by design?
I just want to remove a column but I don't really want to have to create a copy of the report, then update the analysis that navigates to this report so it points to my new version. Also it will mean the Original version is still available via the reports tab which i would not want to avoid confusion.
    Cheers

You cannot edit the Pre-Built reports, you have to open them and resave them to edit them.

  • Trying to change a pre-defined report. Date format is wrong, 20140217 should be 17.02.2014.

The pre-defined report in sccm "Computers with specific software registered in Add Remove Programs" has a query like this:
    Select DISTINCT sys.Netbios_Name0, fcm.SiteCode,  sys.User_Domain0, sys.User_Name0, sys.Operating_System_Name_and0, arp.DisplayName0,
    arp.InstallDate0
    FROM fn_rbac_R_System(@UserSIDs)  sys
    JOIN v_Add_Remove_Programs arp ON sys.ResourceID = arp.ResourceID
    JOIN v_FullCollectionMembership fcm on sys.ResourceID=fcm.ResourceID
    WHERE DisplayName0 like @filterwildcard and fcm.CollectionID=@CollID
I have highlighted the part that I added to the report.
I have inserted an extra column in Report Builder, and added the value inside the column and the install date can be viewed in the report. However the date format is shown like this: 20140217 - I want it to be 17.02.2014.
So I try to change this via right-clicking on the cell in Report Builder, Text Box Properties, Number. Here I choose Date and the correct format. However it does not change the date format when saving and running the report again. It just stays the same.
    Kthxbai

The format can be change if it was a date. But if you look that field it is NOT a date, it is a string and therefore will not  change to the data format that you want.
On top of this, there is a bigger problem. Not ever setup records the date or in the same format so.....
    http://www.enhansoft.com/
Sorry - I am not sure what you mean by the last statement. "Not ever setup records the date or in the same format so.."
    - Would it be possible to elaborate? Thank you very much.

  • Report not displaying data in Viewer

    Hi All,
I have a problem, wherein when I run a report on Discoverer Desktop or Plus the report runs fine (with data displayed) but when the same report is run from Discoverer Viewer the report does not fetch any data. It does not even give the error of 'No rows returned'.
If there are any settings or any other change that needs to be done, please help.
This is again something very urgent i am looking for. An immediete help will be really appreciated.
    Regards,
    Shruti

    Hi,
what is the version of Discoverer you are using?
Also, Is this workbook created in previous versions and upgraded to the existing version?
log entries in application.log would help in debugging. If you are facing any difficulty to look at the log entires being huge,
Make sure that you clear or take a backup of the existing application.log, restart the middletier. This will create a fresh application.log file.
Now, immediately reproduce your issue. This will record the exact log for the event which Viewer is failing to render the report.
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,
    Prasad Bolla.

    Hi
There are two things to check :
    1.  Check the driver which you are using in BO ( If you are try to connect using ODBC try to change the drivers and check)
    2.  Viewer--In infoview go in preferences and try to change the viewer.  If your report is using DHTL, try to change it to Java or Web viewer and check.
    Thanks,
    Sastry

  • View Customization Table changes and Data  table base changes in a report

    Hi All,
How to view Customization Table changes and DAta  table base changes in a report ,
Is it right transactions: SCU3 or RSVTPROT
Also plz let me know the concept of audit trial,
    Thanks
    SD

    Hi,
Changes to master data objects must be captured for the For compliance purposes. The auditor allows you to be able to view and print an audit log of changes to master data objects for a chosen period. It is very common for external auditors to focus on what has changed from one year or quarter to the next to help determine the nature, extent, and population for testing. To configure and access your audit log, perform the actions listed with each of the following utilities.
Audit Trail is used to track the record changes.
The report RPUAUD00 gives all the changes done to the masterdata by any user anytime.
But, before using this audit trial, please ensure that the system hardware is well equipped as the audit trials activation would later become a performance issue as this would occupy a lot of space in the coming time.
    Best Regards,
    Venkat.

  • Do we have pre-built Audit reports?

Hi, I think I saw pre-built Audit reports in m26.cab for BOXI R2 SP3 but I am not able to find it. I saw it everywhere but could not find this time. Can someone help?
    Thanks,

  • Where can we get the data for pre calculated reports

    Hi,
i want to see the data for pre calculated reports (Reporting agent)
where can we get the data for pre calculated reports
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shaliny. M

    Dear,
This feature of precalculating reports is to enhance the report performance. You will need to schedule this periodically, so that the report is fetched and cached. This allows faster retrieval of report data. Plz. understand that, this scheduling needs to run after every data load in the corresponding cube, so that, the latest data is cached, else the report data will be obsolete.
    Thanks
