OM: Positions date Error

Hi Friends,
I have a issue, while creating positions in PPOC_OLD the date period BEGDA & ENDDA assign as 01.01.2009 to 31.12.9999 but the system is creating as 07.09.1995 in Object period.

Always create the position
in the date of beg of organisation
say for ex if an employee joined on 01.01.1980 and transferred to manager position for which the date of object is
created w.e.f 01.01.2009 ,then it wont accept the transfer.
Inorder to avoid those stuffs ,it is incorporated

Can anyone please help with this? Our Tape Drive died and we got a new one from our Maintenance Company. Since then large backups to tape are failing. When the jobs are small they seem to go through OK but when the job is greater than around
200GB then it fails with the error below.
I tried updating the tape drive driver but Windows said that the drive wasn't functioning properly any more.
The only difference between the old faulty drive and the new drive is the firmware. We used to have A422 in the old drive. The new drive has D8D5. Can someone please help as it's driving me crazy.

Hi,
It sounds like another faulty drive - You can try to reproduce the problem outside of DPM using some external utilities.   If you get an error before the tape fills you can use net helpmsg errorcode to see what the error was.
Download the DPMerasetape.zip file from the following link and extract to c:\temp folder.

Once you move a tape into a drive, use mytape commands Loadtape, taperewind, locktape, Disable hardware compression, Set block size to 65536 (64K), writeforspanning.

Convert to a date error

i have a the code below which i am passing a form value to

You didnt understand some basic stuff, so i tell you what you
should have done:
"The value "27/3/2007" could not be converted to a date."
<cfset myDate="form.Diary_Date">
this line you create myDate parameter with value from form,
Diary_Date field.
you should use # signs because coldfusion doesnt know
otherwise you want to use cf parameters value.
in other words otherwise you are telling coldfusion that
mydate is string containing literaly "form..Diary_Date".
take care you always trim parameter values from forms, same
browsers are so nice to adding extra enter character at end of
field value. so first line goes:
<cfset myDate="#Trim(form.Diary_Date)#">
now, sence myDate parameter is fine, lets focus few minutes
how you split value from myDate to tree different pieces.
GetToken fuction is nice fellow when you want split
preformated string to pieces, preformated mean that string always
look same kind. just like dates. year, month and day are in same
positions at string, while year might be different.
example: 1.1.2007 and 1.1.2003, get it?
usage of gettoken is very simple, you just tell function
first parameter where he has to split you piece of string and
second
you tell number of piece to look for and last you tell what
character is separator of each piece.
so, since date you want to process is "27/3/2007", date is
first, month next and year last.
separator is "/" so, getting month should be like this:
myDate is parameter is strinng to be splitted.
number 2 is order number, month is second piece at string
/ is piece separator.
Following code will give you substring "3" from string
"27/3/2007".

'Invalid data' error for outbound 850

We are transforming a OAG process_po_007 to EDI 850.xml in BPEL and enqueing the message to B2B out queue. We are receiving 'Invalid Data' error in B2B log. Following is the 850.xml file. Also I am attaching some portion of the B2B.log at the end. Any help will be appreciated.

Can you please validated the Edifecs XML you are genering from BPEL against the XSD generated out of spec builder. If you still find this as an issue please send us the ecs, xsd and the xml generated from BPEL for further review.

Posting date error

While I am trying to make entry in back date by selecting the back positng period for e.g. if i am in january and i want to pass any entry in december then i will select posting period of december. I can easily pass this entry in demo version of SAP b1 2004.2b but in licensing server its giving error that positing date is variates from the system date. Where is the error plase solve.

This is not a error, it is the validation of SAP B1, you do not able to post any entry for earlier date from system date.
if it is necessary for you to do this, you have to change your system date and do that task and againg change your system date to current date.

DTS 2000 Short date error in Windows 7 (64 bit)

When using the DTS 2000 Package Designer in 2008 SQL Server Management Studio in Windows 7 (64 bit),
and when trying to use the Build Query functionality, I get the following error message:

I know this is a very old thread. But it came up as the first hit in Google when I searched the error message.
I still have the requirement to update an old DTS package that has been migrated to SQL Server 2008 R2 and couldn't find a solution anywhere.
I didn't want to experiment with client tools on my Database Server so here is what I did on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.
I installed Microsoft Windows Virtual PC and then installed Windows XP Mode as a virtual machine.
Then I installed the following stuff in the virtual XP machine.
SQL Management Studio 2008 tools. Of course I needed to install the SQL 2005 backward compatibility stuff as described elsewhere and quite a few other prerequisites that the management studio installer nicely pointed out to me. (You
will probably also need SQL 2000 Client Tools and SQL 2000 SP4)
Once that was all in place I no longer received the "Short Date" error message and I could update my old DTS packages.
I can even run Server Management Studio as a XP Mode Application directly in Windows 7 and it looks just like any other native application.
I have told my boss years ago that this DTS stuff is all hanging on by a thread. I'll also tell him the thread just got a bit thinner :)

Position data not getting ALEd correctly through change pointers

Hi All,
When Posiiton is updated in One system, it gets transfers to another systems through ALE/IDOCs using change pointer method.
when a new holder is assigned to the position in system A, the updated data is not getting tranfered to system B.
All the ALE settings are correct, background jobs are scheduled correctly for the change pointers.
How ever the updated position data is not getting transfered to system B.
The IDOCs are faling with message " Relationship starting from 01O XXXXX impossible - 01S XXXX does not exist/is not active".

u r dynamically generating dropdowns in ur view say VIEW1.U must be generating ur UI dropdowns on click of the button under a trnsparent container with a particular DROP DOWN INDEX ID .
in ur onActionAdd method if u r generating drop downs with ID say DD101, DD102, DD103 and so on ...
thn in ur close button , u need to use the method REMOVE_CHILD_NODE and try to remove the dropdowns with same index .
u cn take reference of this code :

wd_this->count_dd_sys which is another counter .

I have an External Hard Disk i have partitioned it to 4 parts.
One drive is now inaccessible due to sudden power failure while listening Music from that drive few days ago.
Now it shows "Data error (Cyclic redundancy check)".
I tried all the procedures provided here like
chkdsk /f, diskpart, rescan etc
but no result :( (i mean all processes failed. They could not detect the drive).
Please help me to get those data, pictures and project files.

Stale data error while opening a multiple OAF page .

Dear Friends ,
I have a OAF page developed and deployed in server , its basically a search page , it also has several links to
go to create page and update page . when the user opens the multiple page using different tabs in the browser
like for example
ex :
from search page click on create page open it as new tab . if such multiple table are being opened
and do some operation like search a record , it gives and error (stale data : Developer's mode exception ) .
How to over come this exception , could you please share you ideas

In Search page i didn't do any update. and also search page is not a problem it's working fine. create page only the problem. In this page only throwing Stale data error exception.

Stale data error while deleting a record

My design of this development is as follow...
1. Search Page in which users give some search criteria and results will be displayed in the results region on the same page. For each results record I have two buttons like 'Update' and 'Delete' so that users can delete the record or can update the record. For update i created a one more page where users can able to edit and save the data. I have two AM one for Search Page and one for Update Page.

Suppose I have one record in interface table with corresponding error record in error table.When users given the search criteria and hit enter they found a record. It means i have one record in the interface having one error record in the error table and both tables have same transaction id (primary key). So here user first try to update the record and it is working. After update he try to delete a record then I am getting below error. Please note that I am not getting this error when if i directly delete the record with out doing any update before delete. When ever users click on update icon then update PG will open and when users click on Apply button then data is getting updated in the database and page will forward to the search page.
Unable to perform transaction on the record.
Cause: The record contains stale data. The record has been modified by another user.
Action: Cancel the transaction and re-query the record to get the new data.

Data error (cyclic redundancy check) when installing windows xp..

hi guys.. i'm new here.. just switched to macdom a few days ago but unfortunately, i have been having problems trying to install windows xp with sp 2 on my system using boot camp. everytime i install it, i get to the setup screen ("39 minutes till setup rah rah rah", "windows xp is awesome because it has this cool interface etc... rah rah rah") and then the error of doom comes out -_-
the error given is;
an eror has been encountered that prevents setup from continuing
one of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed
data error (cyclic redundancy check)
if you are installing from a cd, there might be a problem with the disc; try cleaning the disc or using another disc
if you are installing from the network, it is possible that not all of the files were copied correctly to your disk drive. run the disk checking utility on your installation drive from the recovery console and start setup again
press ok to view the setup log file
i have tried numerous times without fail and it is getting to my head.. gah.. if someone could help me out, it would be massive and i would sell my soul to you! (kidding).. thanks for reading!

I guess there is a problem with your XP CD, probably scratched or did not burn successfully. Have you tried it with another installation cd?

Stale data error while submitting the form(before that opening the popup )

I am using OAURL to open a pop-up in my oaf page
passing my page to this class.And at the time of loading the base page
the pop up window url is like this

now i click on the link to open the pop-up
its opening the pop-up.
Closing that pop-up.
Saving the details entered in the base page.
Now it is executing again from the processRequest() of base page
now the URL like this...

Now i am getting stale data error
The number of displayed records, 2, exceeds the actual number of records, 1, in view object SampleAM.SampleVO1. Some of the displayed records may have been deleted.
Here i am observing that the parameter OAPC is different in these two URLs.
can you please tell me how to come out of this error while i am submitting the base page.

How to catch date errors and continue processing in a PL/SQL procedure

I'm updating a date field with dates constructed from day, month and year fields. The incoming data has many instances of day and month that are not valid dates, ex 11 31 2007. There is no 31st day in November.
I would like to write a pl/sql script to scan the table containing these values and log the rows that produce conversion errors.
I thought I could do this with exceptions but there are no exceptions that correspond to the ORA-01847 error for mismatched day and month.
Here is what I tried (the print procedure is a local wrapper for DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line):

There are lots of different error messages associated with bad dates. Rather than try to catch them all, I use a BEGIN ... EXCEPTION block that contains nothing but a TO_DATE call. This is one of the rare occassions when I think "EXCEPTION WHEN OTHERS" is okay,

How do I view Migrate Data errors - Access 2003 - Oracle 10g

I'm trying to use the SQL Developer to migrate data from an Access 2003 database to an Oracle 10g database. I followed the instructions found here:

I was able to complete every step except the actual data move. I exported the xml for the Access database, I captured the export and then ran the generation scripts on my target Oracle database (I'm using the same schema for the migration repository and the actual data). It created the tables with only one or two errors which I resolved.
Now, when I select Migration->Migrate Data, I get the dialog that appears to start 4 or 5 threads and attempts to migrate each table. They all error and do not transfer any rows. I can see that there's one error per table, but I can't see the error text. I just know that an error occurred. Is there a log somewhere or is the error displayed somewhere else? How do I know what's gone wrong?

I too receive unexplained error counts using the Migrate Data menu selection and unexplained failures using the Generate Data Move Scripts menu selection. Permissions granted by role or direct grants should not be a problem, but a Migrate Data error appears in the Migration Log panel at the bottom of the SQL Developer window, "Failed to disable constraints: ORA-00942 ... ". No further details available on what constraints or why the error. No other errors were detected while following the instructions found in the Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench Getting Started guide. SQL Developer never migrates the data from the existing Access 2000 mdb file to the newly created schema objects in Oracle 10g using either method. Operating system for both Access 2000 and Oracle 10g is Windows XP PRO SP2.
Oracle SQL Developer is version 1.1.2.25 build MAIN-25.79 on Windows XP PRO SP2. All three are on the same PC.
Since only the last step failed, I created a User DSN with the ODBC administrator. Then, linked the newly created Oracle table to Access via ODBC using the DSN created. Next, I created an append query with the source being the Access table and the target being the Oracle table. I moved the data by pressing the red exclamation mark.
