OM- Positions in Different Languages

Hi,
I am having a requirement where I have to maintain the Position Description in
different Languages for about 11countries. Is there any provision in SAP to maintain different languages
Pls give your valuable Inputs

Hemant,
You can store the position in different languages for the existing field by using key borad to switch to different laguages. You can only see the Field name ( example First name not value as (hemant) if you log in in english then you can see in english) in the language you log in from SAP log in Pad. If You write Hemant In arabic then you will see in arabic even if you log in english. if you log in arabic then you will see both in arabic.

Upload positions-text in different languages?

Hi folks,
we have to enter positions in different languages. To enter new positions we use a flexible upload - method. We have got one upload-file for EN and another one for DE.
The problem:
if we upload the EN-file, the text of the positions in DE gets blank,
if we upload the DE-file then, the text of the positions in EN is blank.
So one of the fields (either DE or EN) is empty and would have to be entered manually.
What can we do to upload both DE and EN - text for the positions?
Is this possible at all?

Hello folks,
it´s possible to upload different languages!
It´s easy if you know how to do it:
create an upload-method with (at least)
Positionplan and language in the header
Position-nr and text (short, medium, long if you want) in the body
--> NO further information (hierarchy, type or whatsoever)!
Create a file with information above
Import the file
--> if positions are available the new language will be filled in
--> if you accidently address a new position you will get an upload error (as no hierarchy-info is available).

HT2371 everytime my apps need to be install .. it keep going to a different language when i keep it in english for everything .. and i dont understand why it have a different language when my default is english.. it only happen when the app want me to acc

for ex:
i go into family feud and when i sign into facebook it have a different language.. and my default is english .
it does that to every app i have.. and sometimes my browser is a diff language..knowing my ipod is english

Menu Options in responsibilities getting displayed in different language.

When we are logging in with the English language in R12, the menu options for some responsibilities are displayed in different languages, which is looking very strange. This is happening to different responsibilities. can any one help me on this.

Is this a problem with the computer or with the word processor? MS Word for example seems to think its grammar and spelling are better than mine - they are not. You have to go into MS Word preferences and uncheck all the useless "help" it wants to provide.

Dunning Letters in Different Language

Hi All,
Need help from your side. I have requirement that I need dunning letters in different language's. If we customer is from Germany the letter should be prininted in Geman language, If the customer is from Spain then it should have Spanish language, If Italy language is Italian.
So can any one guide me on same is there any config for this or how can I mange to do this.

Hi Kiran,
The forms are stored by language key. In each case, the print program selects the form in the language entered in the master record of the customer/vendor. If there is no form in this language, the default
language of the form is used, and the dunning program issues an error message in the dunning run log.
Pls enter language key DE/ES/IT in Customer master record (you can do it in tab 'Address'). Then, you will see that the dunning program prints the form in the requested language.

Dunning Letter in Different Language.

Hi,
Can we have Dunning letters in different languages for customers? For example if the customer is Spain he shall be receiving dunning letter in Spanish language, if the customer is France he shall be receiving dunning letter from French language and if customer is in Italy he shall be receiving dunning letter in Italian language.
So I need to know where exactly the change needs to be made. Is it in SAP script where we need to define the conditions based upon customer country print the letter in local language?

The SAP script you can create in different lanquages (the same with the text elements, if you use them)
When you say in the custumer that the Language is EN you wil have a English dunning letter, when ES in Spanish, ......

HT1491 How do I connect my iPad to the iTunes store if it's in a different language.

My iPad won't connect to the iTunes store and the three buttons down the bottom are I'm a different language. I signed out and logged into my own account as I bought it Orr eBay. Logged into the app store and it was perfectly fin. Everything was in English. How do I get my iPad to connect to the iTunes app and change the language? :(

How can I use the "Copy and paste" tool in order get stamps in the same position in different pages (Acrobat XI for PC)?

With Acrobat 6.0 I was able to copy a stamp in the same position (I mean "exactly" the same one) of different pages just by using the "copy/past" tool.
Now I am using Acrobat XI and it seems like it is not possible anymore: I am copying a stamp and I am trying to past it in anoter page, but it appears in the center of the page (or wherever it wants to...).
Does anyone have a solution?

In RoboHelp 11 Responsive HTML5, is it possible to have 2 different language outputs in one generated output file, similar to WebHelp where the use can select the language from a drop-down list? In Webhelp output you could create multiple Content categories. Is there something similar with the responsive output, or am I forced to have a completely separate set of output files for each language (for example, English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic)?

As Rick, mentions, there's no default way.
Having said that, there's nothing stopping you from doing it yourself. You can add a kind of language selector to the layout and set that for every html5 output. With some JavaScript, you can have the user switch between your outputs. It would look like content categories, but you'll have build it yourself.

Material description for different language

Please advise how to pull material description maintained in different language ?
I need to download this material descriptions maintained in all languages for a certain type of materials of one plant.

you either create a quickview by joining MARC and MAKT tables for this.
or much easier. you press F4 in a material number field.
then you go to search help W plant material.
there you erase the language from the selection pop-up and execute
in the hitlist do a right mouse click and you can directly download

How to use different languages in iDVD

I want to create a DVD with different languages or with an audio comment to be chosen. Is this possible?

If You want as an commercial DVD - NO - this function is not in iDVD
Can it be faked? - YES for small videos as iDVD is limiting in TIME not Gbs
So for as Single Layer DVD the limit is about 120 minutes (Pro-Quality Encoding and High Quality Encoding) and by keeping Menu as simple possibly this will be close to 118 minutes.
For a four language version then the max time per movie will be about 19 min 30 sec.
So the fake is made by making four individual movies one in each language and add all four to the DVD project.

How can I create 2 catalogues (same design but different languages)

I have to launch 2 catalogues (32 pages) in Indesign, with an equal layout but different languages. My client will need to start them both and won't wait for a agreement on a Master file. He'll update the layout all along the realisation (color, pictures and graphic design). To avoid waisting time by correcting twice, would you have a tip to link both composition and enhance automatically the background layout and ajustements over and above the languages ?
What would be the best method ?

Welcome to the discussions.
In the Accounts tab of Mail's preferences, you can set the Full Name (I don't know how it will be labelled in French - it is the 3rd field in Account Information). This is the name that will be displayed in the From column of the recipient's mail client.
But if the mail accounts are for two different users, it would be better to set up a separate login account on the mac for each of them, and then set up the mail preferences for the separate users.

How to send email notification in different languages in Workflow? Can anyone send me some useful guidelines or link where it is mentioned.

There is no profile option available to specify whether send or not send email notification.
But after login, in preferences youcan set the notification preference value by which you can configure whether to send or not
to send email notifications.
If you select ''Do not send me mail' or 'Disabled' it will not send.
For other values it sends the notfication in different formats like text, html, attachments etc...

I was able to convert my pdf files to word but when I open the word document the document is in a different language. How do I get my word documents in english?
