Can you please let us know the difference between simple maintenance, expert mode , Organisational and staffing method?
Among three which one is mostly used? why?

Simple Maintenance operates using a tree structure. The tree structure allows you to rapidly put together a basic framework for organizational plans, using streamlined procedures
Using Simple Maintenance to create organizational units, jobs, positions, and tasks eliminates all but the most essential details. Simple Maintenance knows which relationships are most commonly required, and generates these relationships automatically when you create an object.
It is recommended to create most of the objects and relationships of your organizational structure using Simple Maintenance. Detail Maintenance is best used to perform maintenance functions on individual objects, especially, it is an effective means to update a particular objectu2019s infotypes
Difference between - Simple maintainence and Expert Mode
Both the interfaces are used to create Org structure. If the company needs to create a huge structure, we will use Simple maintenance, because it is user friendly that is it is easy to create a structure, the system automatically relationship between the objects. Using Infotypes we can create Objects in Expert mode and we have to use different transactions to create various types of objects
Normally we use Simple Maintanience.

    Hi Experts,
    I have the following problems concerning Organization and Staffing interface :
    1) When trying to create a new Organization Unit or Position in the Basic Data Tab the Abbreviation and Description are lost, instead it keeps the standard ( like New org. unit   New Organizational Unit), although I can see the correct Abbreviation and Description in the Overview Area. It seems like a bug, but still couldn't find an appropriate note about it. My customer uses SAP ECC 6.0.
    2)I would like to insert new tab pages in the Detail Area with custom pd infotypes. I managed to display one (through configuration in the Hierarchy Framework) but doesn't appear properly. Table T77OMTABUS looks like this :

  • What is a Business Process Expert? and Business Analyst?

    In response to Sinem Dorter's very interesting and informative blog about Composite Analytics at Whirpool, I'd like to ask how people would really define what is going on there.
    Are modelers of composite applications business analysts? Business process experts? Application specialists? All of the above? None of the above?
    What unique skills are required to distinguish, say, a business analyst from a business process expert?
    And can a business process expert be a team of people: maybe an enterprise analyst, a business process expert and an IT application specialist?
    I'm curious to read responses.

    We are using the PPOME “Organization and Staffing” in a workflow for Role Resolution.
    The Standard Role “0000157” (Superior –chief Position- ) is to be used, which will require a restructuring of the Org Structure.
    Therefore,  I need to know,
    The difference between the two views  "Organization and Staffing" & "Organization and Staffing (workflow)",
    and if these two views are synchronized.
    And if there is difference between the two views then how to configure the view “"Organization and Staffing (workflow)" for using in the workflow.

    One works on the structure created for the HR plan variant, the other works on the structure created for the workflow plan variant. Of course, in many (probably most) systems, these two variants are identical, so there will not be any visible difference.

    enter organisation id
    then select view button from menu bar.........select key on. you will get the object id for unit and positions.

  • Rearrange workitems after organisation and staffing change

    Hello,
    I have a question regarding workitems after an organisation and staffing change.
    Old situation
    Organisation A has Position A and B.
    Position A is described by responsibility E
    Position B is described by responsibility F
    Position C is described by responsibility G
    Position D is described by responsibility H
    New situation
    We disconnect responsibilies E, F, G and H from position A, B, C and D.
    We created Organisation Q with position W and X.
    Position W is described by responsibility E, F.
    Position X is described by responsibility G, H.
    I expected that the workitems which were not already assigned to users were taken over to the new positions. This is not the case.
    Should I run a job or did I do something wrong?

    I run the program, assigned an item to myself and then released it. The workitem is now attached to the new position and not to any user. This is what I want.
    Is there a transaction/program to assign and release workitems en masse?
    It's about 21.000 workitems which have to be reassigned.

    That is my problem when I click the link to access my download there is no download available on my account.  I purchased Adobe exportPDF 6 days ago but never got an e-mail to confirm that my payment had gone through and that it was available to download although the payment has been deducted from my visa card.  I went through the FAQ and was directed to my account which showed that the payment was confirmed and export PDF was available to download. I followed the link to my downloads but it says I have no downloads.  So the transaction is showing in my subscriptions but not in my downloads section.  My order number is AD005040367IE.

    Hello,
    The choice of card depends on the application that you develop. For example, you’d better use FPGA if you need a perfect synchronization of several acquisition chains as FPGA matrix will adapt in the way that your channels will be separated and will no use common resources. Another example of FPGA application can be acquisition of several chains of the data that demands very high sampling frequency (FPGA internal frequency can be up to 400MHz).
    When using FPGA you have to program signal acquisition “from the beginning”, I mean that there are no standard tasks as, for example, “counting edges”. But due to this you can modify standard tasks of DAQ acquisition if you need it.

  • Need help regarding Simple Data Client and Simple Data Server VIs

    Hi everyone.
    I have a simple objective. I just want to test the 2 example VIs, "Simple Data Client" and "Simple Data Server" between 2 computers. I just want to check whether is this working between the 2 computers.
    What I have done for now is that I changed the "address", from "localhost" in the "Simple Data Client.vi" to the IP address of the computer running the "Simple Data Server". I runned the "Simple Data Server" VI in one of the computers first followed by the "Simple Data Client" in the other computer. Nothing is received and the client just timed out.
    Can anyone please help me troubleshoot and tell me what are the possible problems for this? Are there any wires connections between 2 computers that I am missing or any other configurations I have to make before I can successfully do this?

    I understand that. I was just feeling frustrated about the project not working. Sincere apologies from me.
    I was wrong about the error number. It is not Error 60. It is Error 59 - The network is down, unreachable, or has been reset.. Yes, I have tried changing the port numbers at the 2 computers when trying to send/receive.
    Could anything else be the problem?

    Mainly the table HRP1001 gets updated. All the relationships (manager <> subordinate, pernr <-> positioin, etc.) are stored in this table.
    So if we create a relationship between manager and subordinate eg., then two records will go in table HRP1001.
    record 1 :  Manager <----
    isthemanger of   Subordinate
    record2 : subordinate -
    > reports to        Manager

    I have few questions to ask about the Expert Series and Valet Series.
    1. I see there aren't any print server/bridge/access point for these two new series. Do I have to use previous ones? Or the new ones are in planned in near future?
    2. Do I "HAVE TO USE CONNECT SOFTWARE"?  Can I just use web interface to do every setting that these routers features?
    3. Does expert series routers support guest network and parental control?
    4. When I look into informations of these router, some router doesn't give information about backward compatible to older standards. Do I have to consider that as they are backward compatible with older standards?

    With the New Expert or the Valet Series Router, you still can use the Print Server / Bridge and Access Points.
    Well with the Expert and Valet Series router, you have an option to User Cisco Connect Software or you can User Web Interface of the Router. But with the Cisco Connect Software you have an Advantage of creating a Guest Account and using Parental Control , which is not available using the Web Interface.
    These both the routers are backward compatible and they can connect to your G Series Product.
