OM, TEM description IT 1002 report

Hello,
Is there a standard report/adhoc query in SAP which can list down Object type, Object ID and Description (from infotype 1002). I am particularly looking for a report for Business events type (course type) and Business events(course) with their long description from Infotype 1002.

I dont think we have SAP standard report.
You will have to use an Ad Hoc Query, create an infoset, assign the reuired infotypes & generate the report.

Hi
Does anyone know if you can hide the description text on report manager, this is populated in report properties > Description or can be updated direct in report manager.
I want to add a description but I do not want it displayed in report manager, is there a way of removing this?

According to your description, you have a report with description. Now you just want to hide the description when accessing the report manager. Right?
In Reporting Services, we have a css file for Report Manager to set style. Now we just need to modify the style for description box. Please follow the steps below:
Go to Your Disk:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server[your MSRS instance]\Reporting Services\ReportManager\Styles\ReportingServices.css.
For your items, the style class name is "msrs-itemDescription":
p.msrs-itemDescription { white-space: nowrap; width: 250px; overflow: hidden; text-overflow: ellipsis; font-size:10pt; color:Gray; }
Add “display:none” in the style. It looks like below:

TCode VT02n need to papulate mat.description in std. report

Tcode Vt02n:
Give shipment no and press enter, from menu GOTO--> Shipment and Deliveries populates report with split deleveries button.. etc,
when place cursor on deliveri no and press split button will populate report, In this report, Material description is not poulating, I want to know how to popualate material description in this report.

Hi Experts,
This info really helped and now I am stuck in Transports.
I went to GRR1, created new u2018Z_report_pgmu2019 by copying from relevant Library and Report program. Added Company Code in Report Painter & save.
In GR22, choose relevant Report Group and maintain header text Report
In SE93, created Transaction code u2018Z_std_pgm*u2019 with u2018D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPEu2019 and value u2019RWu2019 & u2018D_SREPOVARI-REPORTu2019 and value u2018Reportgroup nameu2019.
To Transport this report group,GR52, goto Utilities->Transport->Transport Request Select 'Report Group' radio button click 'Execute'. In the next screen enter report group and execute, In the next screen select the check box for the report group and click execute Then it asked for the transport request.
But there was an error in the QA system. May be I missed transporting the 'Z_Report name'.
Should i do it from GR52 ? if not kindly advise.

English Version for field description in CO reports

Hi,
I am using a standard SAP report from CO -> example : S_ALR_87013599. However, when logon in English version, the fields description are not in English. Some other reports do not have this problem. When I logon in Chinese language, it is ok. The description will be in chinese.
Please advise how do I change the fields to English decriptions. And will it affect the chinese language after the change ?

Hi,
Try imporitng the reports when you are log-on in English via OKD3 transaction. This should solve the problem...
Also check your GCRS (transaction) definitions

APEX: Show description in Interactive Report column

Hi experts!
I need to show title and description in the headings of an interactive report in APEX. So when the user places the mouse on the heading of the column, a description message is displayed.
In the heading field, I have introduced this string:
<SPAN TITLE = "Secció Numèrica">SC.N.</SPAN>
Where "Secció Numèrica" is the description and SC.N. is the title.
This works fine in the report and the description is shown, but the problem is:
When the user click on the 'select columns to display' action, the displayed label is
<SPAN TITLE = "Secció Numèrica">SC.N.</SPAN>
instead of "SC.N." or "Secció Numèrica".
Obviously the customer does not want to see that string. I have been looking for any solution in manuals and forums but with no results.

It is solved.
The customer is happy having the description displayed in the Help Text section, so it is shown with the info tag.

Conditional Header and Footer description print in Report

Hello,
Is it possible to print different header or footer of a report depend on condition.
My requirement to change the header and footer description on a fly depend upon the parameter passed to the report.

of course this is possible. paint your first desidered header/footer, place it in frame and add format trigger on this frame to display it when you want it, otherswise return false. the same is for other possible headers/footers. then place all those frames on same position. look at conditions to display only one header/footer at a time :)
or seccond (in case of simplier structure) is to place in header/footer only one bolierplate text with value f.e. &p_footer and then send value you want to see in footer n parameter p_footer ...

Description display in Report output

Hi All,
I am facing a strange issue in reporting. When User is executing a portal report from BEx web analyzer, only Technical name of the report is diplaying on Output of the Report. Iif I execute from my system even with the same user id it is diplaying description. Anyone has idea what might be the cause and how to resolve this issue.(User is connecting the system with other than english as Language). I hope something related to Translation.

How to display 0INSP_CHAR description in the report?

Hi experts
I want to display description of 0INSP_CHAR in the report..
0INSP_CHAR has 3 compounding objects so its displaying it as Q/1356933/11/20 instead of 20.
I want to remove compound characteristics from the report & also want to display description of 20 in the report which is maintained in the master data..
Please suggest inputs.

Pricing description in custom report

Hello,
We are developing a custom report. The report will fetch invoices from VBRK table for a a given date.
For the selected invoices, we need to pick pricing condition types as in invoices from table KONV ( VBRK-KNUMH=KONV-KNUMH ). In this way we have all the condition types for the invoices.... I have following questions :-
a) in the invoice pricing, I also need to have text elements and their values in our custom report. that is I need to fetch the word "gross price" and its value from line item pricing ( Both KWART and KWERT ).... I also need to have "profit margin" and its value ( both condition base and cond value ),
I also need to have any other description I have in invoice pricing and its value like "rebate basis" and its value etc...
what logic should I use to fetch the above description and their values ( both base value and final value as appearing in pricing screen of invoice line items ! )
b) KONV shows item wise records. Pricing is also stored at header level in invoices... which condition table is used to store header condition and the values ?

Have a material M123 -->Machine tools.but in KE30 reports,i can see only product/material M123,no description.
How can i get Product description in COPA KE30 reports?

Hi,
After executing the report
choose > 'Settings > Characteristic display' from the menu.
A dialog box appears where you can choose the option.
Change the setting to 'key and name' and the text should appear

Add PA_NON_LABOR_RESOURCES.DESCRIPTION in Invoice Report

I need to modify the Invoice Report by adding the PA_NON_LABOR_RESOURCES.DESCRIPTION for each line in the invoice (q_lines query).
I'm not sure how to tie a record in ra_customer_trx_lines back to pa_expenditure_items (also ensuring a one-to-one mapping) so I can use the NON_LABOR_RESOURCE column to lookup the description. I don't see any direct or indirect foreign keys between the two tables (customer trx lines and expenditure items). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Don't think there is a direct link back. You can use CUSTOMER_TRX_ID to tie back to SYSTEM_REFERENCE in PA_DRAFT_INVOICES_ALL but the PA invoice will not contain a one-to-one relationship with the expenditure items as you can't generate PA invoices to that level of detail. From PA_DRAFT_INVOICES you can get down to PA_DRAFT_INVOICE_ITEMS and then to PA_CUST_REV_DIST_LINES_ALL where you can then get to PA_EXPENDITURE_ITEMS. How the PA invoice is created depends on the invoice format you have used, the lowest level I can see is by expenditure type so you'll find that the invoice lines contain grouped items based on the type - well, as far as I can see anyway!!

Cost Element Description in PCA Report Group P&L

Hello,
You can use SARP for display mode
Tree PCA1
In the first coloumn (number and description) instead of cost element description, cost element number appears again like this:
600000 006000000 (wrong)
600000 Sales Income (correct)
Choose report:
ZPCA0002 P&L A3 group and the choose Report Group P&L (ZPCA0003)
During execution of report ZPCA0003 (library -8A2, Report Group ZPC2), cost center description is not appearing instead same cost element number is appearing.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hi,
ZPCA0002 is not a standard report.
When you report writer (painter) you can define what you see in the collumn
Offen it is possible to when you run the report and change by the menu path the settings from the report

First read documents like Note 984305 - Line item: Definition of special fields (T021S) and Note 1323512 - Line items: BADI FI_ITEMS_CH_DATA, add missing standard fields via Customizing in T021S or use an append for other fields as described in the note and Customizing documentation. (NB: The BAdI is better for performance, as it manages the full internal table, when BTE is called for each item)
Then append your zz fields to RFPOS AND RFPOSX and execute report RFPOSXEXTEND.

Adding to Srinivas's comment. In the same place you have few more radio button options available which lets you select how you want to see the details; either by Name (long), Key, Key & Name etc.
