OMG I'm getting sick of this Java disk permission problem!

I have Snow Leopard in my 2006 Intel 2.0 Duo Mac. I see many people writing about the same problem for months now. On my computer I totally reinstalled eveything a couple months ago. Many times I can not shut down and then tonight I couldn't get to my iMovies or into Photoshop. Every time this happens I use disk utilities and repair permissions. It comes up with lots of Java stuff needing repairs. After the repair permissions is over it works okay again until a couple of daysfrom and and here we go again. geeeeeeeeze! I'm getting tired of this. I have read many a posts regarding this and I'm wondering will this problem ever be fixed?
I wish I had the money to buy a new computer but I don't. If it's because of my old computer then I wish Apple would just let me know that fact. Anyone know of any fixes?

Repairing permissions won't solve this problem. The information you see when you verify or repair permissions aren't errors that need repairing, they're just messages.
If you see anything SUID related when verifying permissions, that can be ignored > Mac OS X: Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions messages that you can safely ignore
If you can't shut down your Mac, you may have one or more apps still running. If necessary, you can "force quit" apps. Open the Activity Monitor app located in /Applications/Utilities. Select My Processes from the pop up menu top right corner of the window. Select the app then click the red force quit button.
How much free space on the startup disk? Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

If that is correct, then your iMac's system software is woefully outdated.
When you have problems with multiple applications (ie., PhotoShop, iMovie) the startup disk may need repairing.
Follow the instructions for Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks.

I solved the problem of security exception I mentioned at java procedure topic as following:
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.SecurityException
I tried to use your solution as following:
call dbms_java.grant_permission('SDE', 'java.net.SocketPermission', 'ORCL.COHPA.UCF.EDU','resolve');
but SQL*plus gave me a error message:
invalid collumn.
What's the problem?
However, I call a grant command as following:
SQL> grant JAVASYSPRIV to sde;
and then that exception is gone. What's the difference between dbms_java.grant_permission and grant command?

Ipod Touch 4G Camera... Getting sick of this

Sorry if I sound a bit rude... I'm just completely frustrated with trying to get this thing fixed...
Alright. I've asked this on various sites, and i'm constantly getting sick of the fact that no one will answer, or tells me the exact same thing, to restore the Ipod to Factory Settings, or Power it off for a while. None of it works...
I've had my Ipod Touch 4G since the end of Summer, because my old one died out, and for a month or so, the Camera / Video Camera worked fine. After a month ( and it still continues now ) the camera doesn't work anymore...
If I click on Camera, it won't open up, it'll stay frozen, and the bottom will flicker.
I've seen MULTIPLE threads on various sites about this issue, and no one gives an answer that helps at all. Restoring the Ipod, or powering it off, doesn't work. Period.
Can someone please give me an answer here as to how I can fix the camera, and get it to open ( Also, I bought various apps to see if they would work, they don't. )

If multiple apps don't work with the camera, chances are it's a hardware issue, which means nothing you can fix yourself. Since you said you just bought it this Summer, it should still be under warranty so you can have the part replaced at the Apple Store.

Why is it that each time I upgrade my iPad, half of my apps won't work properly but worst of all my email won't send after the latest "patch" today, wake up Apple I am a new user and getting sick of this problems

WHy is it that each time I get an upgrade some of my Apps won't work when they did with the previous version. I have just upgraded to v7.01 and now I cannot send email, wake up Apple and get it right as I am a new user of Apple technology and not impressed.

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

Cannot install CS4. GETTING SICK OF THIS!!

Try to understand that the Creative Suite Cleaner package is supposed to clean up after a previous installation, which you have said you have had. P.S., I don't know what you mean by "Windows Utility Cleaner", but it is almost universally true that general purpose registry "cleaner" utilities screw up more things than they fix. Avoid using them!

How do I fix this disk permission problem?

I use Disk Utility frequently. My iMac was shipped by a friend and got jostled so I rarely restart the machine. The internal DVD drive stopped working. I bought an external DVD drive that works fine. I was afraid the motherboard might be the problem, not the internal drive itself. Since getting the machine, I did a clean install of Snow Leopard. Everything seems to be working fine but when I use Disk Utility this always happens- I have lots of wrong disk permissions, always the same ones. It takes about 15 minutes to do a whole scan. Here is what it shows- all having to do with Java- and the final problem is always the same-"Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired":

I am trying to get this java program to work

I need your help, I am trying to get this java program to work. The program is long and massive, but I got stuck in the last point where the program checks if there are a double quotes or a comma in a string.
The string is an URL retrieved from XML files (this is already done).
There are 4 conditions:

You can do the searching with String.indexOf() and then you can make replacements (like " with "") with String.replaceAll().
As for adding leading and trailing ", that could be done with simple concatenation.

How to turn this Java into something I can use in CF?

Hi - Following on from a recent post about how to strip our special characters from a string before insertion to the db I have found this Java code - my question is, how can I turn this into something I can use with CF? I think I need to use the cfscipt tag but that's right on the boundaries of my knowledge base.. If anyone could please help I'd be ever so grateful - thank you!

Although actually I also ended up changing my charset of my tables to utf8 (it was latin_swedish) and that seems to have solved the head issue (with special characters (bullet points i think it was) throwing an error when inserting them in the db)

Uninstalled Java 6, installed Java 7, keep getting requests to install Java SE 6 plugin. Why?

Because of the security issues with Java, I uninstalled Java 6 (using various terminal commands) and installed Java 7 from Oracle's website. Looking at /Library/Internet Plug-Ins, I can see that JavaAppletPlugin.plugin is there, and Get Info tells me that it is part of Java 7 Update 09.
However, when I use Safari to try out a Java test page, or use one of the Java-based programs that I need to run for work, I get a message that says, "To open “PluginProcess,” you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?" (PluginProcess is replaced by the program name if I am running a Java program.) If I click "Install", the Apple version of Java 6 gets installed.
This doesn't make sense to me. Why would Java 7 need the Apple Java 6 environment? And why doesn't Safari or other Java based programs recognize that the Java 7 JavaAppletPlugin.plugin is on my computer already?
Although I'm not really an IT person, I am pretty handy with the Terminal and command line operations, so if fixing this means using the command line, I'm good with that.

I think I've found a solution to the problem that Java Applications doesn't use Java 7. This seems to work for me. Try it and please confirm if it works for you.
1.
Install Java SE Development Kit 7u9 from Oracle
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7u9-downloads-1859576 .html
2.
Execute something that triggers the prompt to install Java SE 6. for example i web site using java applet. And follow through with the installation. (after this you will have three java versions: Java6 32-bit, Java6 64-bit, Java7 64-bit)
3.
Open a new terminal window and execute the following commands.
$ cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions
$ sudo rm CurrentJDK
Password: ********
$ sudo ln -s /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_09.jdk/Contents/ CurrentJDK
$ sudo ln -s CurrentJDK 1.7
$ sudo ln -s CurrentJDK 1.7.0
Note: I don't know if the last two lines are necessary, but I just tried to follow the existing pattern.
