itunes won't open still!!! i really don't know what to do and im about to give up PLEASE!!! i downloaded quicktime with out itunes but it still wont open!! i really really really need help!!:(

OMG freaking out please help!! Installer won't install..Disk Utility gone?

Newer mac user here with very little osx experience. First post on the forums really hoping you can help.
I have a couple issues right now. First of all, lately when I try to install apps nothing happens. More specifically, when I click on the .pkg file nothing happens. The screen kind of flashes (it doesn't really flash, but I don't know how else to describe it) like it wants to do something, but then.....nothing. This has happened recently with both a divx codec I downloaded from divx.com and also with neooffice. I have tried dumping the neooffice download in the trash and redownloading and trying to reinstall and it does the same thing everytime.....nothing.
Second....can someone tell me exactly what is supposed to be in the applications/utility folder? I thought there was a disk utility program in there that would allow me to reset permissions, but I can't find it!! I can't find it using finder either!! I am freaking out a little bit here and any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

OMG CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THIS I REALLY NEED HELP!! MY ITUNES WONT OPEN

i had to download itunes again because i restarted my computer and deleted itunes from it and i downloaded the new itunes and everything was goin good and it got intalled and the quicktime and itunes icons appeared on my desktop...but when i clicked on the icon 2 open itunes the iTunes Software License agreement poped up quikly and disappeared and everytime i click on itunes it pops up and then goes away and im not able to click the agree button....i have restarted my computer completly so dat it can start fresh and then i download itune but the same thing keeps happenin....omg please help me...this problem has me frustrated i dont know wat to do anymore

OMG Please help me - my itunes stops playing after 2 tracks

Someone please help me.....I have recently been downloading a couple of albums from the internet and drop and dragging them into my itunes. I have done this about 3 times succesfully and itunes plays these no problem. Since last week, I have been trying to play my itunes, then all of a sudden, the sounds stops. The play bar at the top keeps going, but for some reason, the whole of the sound stops. Nothing out of my speakers. This happens every time! I have unistalled itunes and reinstalled it to the new version (I think I was on version 7.0.1 in any case) I have defraged, disk cleaned, reinstalled my itunes library manually....OMG everything I have done! I have tried to install an older version (to the one I was on already) and it still happpens. I have no idea what the **** to do - I have never had this problem before. I did a virus scan only the other day and I did have viruses on my pc, but they have been removed. On the version of itunes I have at the moment, it won't even recognise my ipod (2nd gen 4gb Nano) Please help me!!! I can't even find a bloomin number for apple either and I am going to throw myself and the pc and itunes out of the window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG... $1,000s in downloads gone... Please help!

Hi there everyone. I just lost all of my iTunes Music Store downloads (back-up hard drive failure and was in the middle of a format on my MacBook Pro)... so I don't have any of my .m4p and .m4v files that I've downloaded over the past 2 years from the iTunes Music Store. We're talking a few 1,000 downloads here.
Has anyone had experience with this? Is there a way for Apple to check my download history on my account and credit it into my download queue for me to re-download? PLEASE help if someone can??? Would love to hear if someone has a solution to a similar experience...

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If you don't have a valid backup and don't have your tracks and videos on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your content.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.

Hello everyone i know this is not the most colorful of first posts but i am in some serious need!!!!
Ok, i have just bought an amd64 3200 and an MSI K8T Neo with some corsair 512xms (400).
I built the system up, added the hd's and the cdroms placed the cpu in the right place with the special leaver gizmo attached and the metal plate below (removed cover). And for some reason the system powers up..EG hard drive and cd rom cpu fan and gfx card but i get no display. IT just stays blank. With all 3 ram sticks in i get 3 beeps and one green light on on the d-led display. I looked that up in the manual and it means "Early Chipset initialization". With one ram stick in i get all 4 lights on red......
Can anyone please help me to figure out what is going on!!! This system is practically new.
PS. When i first booted the system up i did not put in the second power cable (Smaller one) But the machine was only on for around 5secs. I did not need 2 power cables on my old mobo :( but it's in now and seems to power everything up this time. But still no display.

well basically i would say you have too much connected for the bad psu you have ... Q-Tecs are basically not very good (put politely)
other than that there have been several posts about 4 red led issues some caused by having an Audiogy 1 installed some caused by bad psu's and some are just bad boards that have to be RMA'd
persona;;y i suggest you start by throwing the Q-tec in the bin and work from there

Transfer the music from your iPod to your computer.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you
can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the
iPod to an authorized computer by using the
"file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that
the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc)
try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.

Use.
Open iTunes and select
edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark
in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder
when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music
folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl
keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the
dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this
itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer',
select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because
officially it's not supposed to), check out the
instructions/suggestions here.

OMG PLEASE HELP ME! WON'T START UP AND SCREEN LOOKS FUNNY O.O

Okies, my sister was on my macbook pro all night, and i just finished updating some program (the mac version of winzip?) and the comp froze and had little rectangles all over it, like tiny TVs with bad reception on it O.o
So i hold down the Power button to reset it, then turn it on, the little rectangles are there when the grey screen with the apple on it, then it goes to a blue screen and stops
I can't do anything! I even have my install disk in it cos i thought i might need to restart it that way and now it won't come out T_T
Please help! I don't know what ive done, i've only had it...less than a week!

Couple of things I'd do here:
1. Restart your computer.
2. While the computer restarts, press the trackpad button and hold it down through the boot process. During the normal bootup process, this should tell the computer to eject the CD.
After that, follow these steps:
1. Turn off your computer again.
2. Unplug all cables including the power cable
3. Take out the laptop's battery.
4. Press the power button and hold it down for 5 seconds.
5. Put back in the battery.
6. Plug in the power cord
7. Press the power button to start the computer
8. As soon as you here the "bong" noise (the startup noise) press and hold down the following keys: Command Option P R (that's four keys all together including the letters P and R)
9. In a few seconds, the computer will go "bong" again (i.e., present the startup sound). Once that happens, let go of the keys and let the computer finish booting.

*OMG* huge restore problem - help me fix this Christmas nightmare!

I recently made a backup of my little sister's macbook on my time capsule. She had to get a new hard drive (the old one was returned).
After the new hard drive was installed, we tried to restore her system. After almost a full day, it was not finished yet (perhaps around 80%). Then, the power adapter got disconnected from the laptop so the macbook went to sleep for a couple of hours.
When I realized the power was not connected, I plugged it in again, woke up the macbook, and hoped that the Time Capsule Restore would resume. However, it failed.
I tried to restart the restore process but this time, it would not see any Time Capsule backups! Can anyone please help me?

I think you will have to boot from the DVD that came with the MacBook (hold down the C key when it starts to boot from the DVD) and start the Time Machine restore over again. If you can connect the Mac to the Time Capsule using ethernet instead of wirelessly, it will go a lot faster.

Someone please help my ipod touch 2nd gen. wont turn on and it tries to start up and it tells me to connect to itunes!

ok so i have an ipod touch 2nd generation and i have had it for many years. A few months ago it would not turn on and kept telling me to connect to itunes but the problem is my itunes library is set up at my dads house and i live with my mom. so i tried connecting it to my laptop to see if it would turn on. well it asked me if i wanted to restore it and i was really tried and couldnt think what restored meant so i clicked yes! and it wiped out my entire library! i was in tears because i had had $50 worth of music and apps that werent backed up! so i sent my ipod to my dad and got everything sorted out. but last night i tried to turn my ipod on and it wouldnt turn on so i just plugged it in to charge and left it. i came back to see if it was done and it wouldnt turn on and it told me to connect to the itunes store. i probably have about $50 worth of music that is not backedup this time! omg i want to cry! i am smart enough to not pulg in into my laptop because i know what restore means now! and i have tried holding the buttons down and everything and i let it charge all day! what do i do! please please help me! if i send it to my dads will all of my music that is not backed up sync into my library? or will i lose it all?!?! please please help me!! Okay so I have an HP windows 8 laptop and I've tried downloading itunes like 10 times and still nothing!! Everytime it downloads and gets ready to install I get a "error 2" message saying "Apple application support was not found" "Apple application support is required to run itunes.
