OmniOutliner automatically starts on every re-boot

Would anyone know how to stop OmniOutliner from automatically loading every time my MacBook Pro is re-booted. It's version 3.5 and not something that I specifically downloaded. The license says "Macintosh Software Bundle" so I am assuming that the App it is part of Leopard.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cheers Niel. The offending entry was something to do with CameraStrings (??????) and that was the one that was starting OmniOutliner. I'd say it was related to the recent installation of printer drivers for my Epson R390 printer. I thought that it was to do with that but could not find the link. Also managed to get rid of another application that was starting up every time I rebooted but wasn't such a nuisance.

Is there an easy way to automatically start the dbconsole when a cluster node boots (unix) ? I don't mean putting "emctl start dbconsole" in a rc Skript. I would prefer an integration in clusterware.

Sure, there are several steps but it's not impossible.
Step 1 build application VIP

How to stop Oracle 10g DB automatically start up when Windows boots/reboots

With Oracle 9i, I could set Oracle DB manually start so it would not start when Windows OS was booted/rebooted. This was done through setting Control Panel -> Admin tools -> Services -> Oracle9iMyDB's Startup type to "Manual".
Now I have 10g installed, same setting does not prevent 10g DB start up at Windows boots.
I have Windows 2000 now for 10g and past for 9i.
Could anyone help?

Does the ipod start charging every time I hook it up to a pc? Can I shut this off in any way?
If I'm doing a battery calibration and completely draining the battery I don't want it to start charging again just because I need to upload some songs which might cause the ipod to stay plugged in for 5-10min.

Automatically starting ColdFusion when server boots up.

We have multi-home ColdFusion running under Jrun4 installed on our 64 bit Solaris 10 boxes working with a 32 bit Apache 2.0 web server.
When ever these boxes boot up (as happend after a recent power failure), we have to manually start all the ColdFusion instances. Neither the script that ships with ColdFusion nor putting the command line "{jrun_root}/bin/jrun start {server_name}" into the boxes start up scripts seem to work.
Can anybody advise us.

I can't remember the exact syntax, but you might need a nohup parameter in there so the CF process doesn't get killed as soon as the shell running the start command ends.

If you do not need it, just remove it.

Hi Sanjay,
you can define a service in the SAP EP and define it to be automatically started. There you can define your job in the afterInit()-method.
The service will be automatically started on every restart of the SAP EP and the afeterInit()-method will be executed after.

Same thing happens when i click restart.
No difference when i run it in Safe mode. And it won't let me create a new profile either. Is there anyway else i can extract my bookmarks? This is driving me crazy!

Did the crash reporter send any crash reports?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" 
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

How do I prevent Firefox from automatically starting when I boot-up my Mac in the morning?

Whenever I boot up my Mac in the morning Firefox automatically starts and displays my home page. I would only like to see the desk top with no applications running. I am running OSX 10.4.11 on my laptop.

Hmm.. Okay I've done a bit more digging and tried the following two things before the last restart.. Not sure which one actually worked but give these a shot (one at a time) and let us know which is the ''actual'' solution! :)
1. Open Safari -> Preferences -> General
- change "Default Web Browser" to Safari
- Close all applications
- Relaunch Safari and change default browser back to Firefox.
2. Remove the check from "Reopen windows when logging in" in the logout dialog and logout of the computer..
I suspect step 2 is actually the proper solution, but I did both so, hopefully one of them works for everyone else!

If you're handy with tools, pop the bottom pan on the Mac, take out the RAM sticks, thoroughly clean the contacts on both the sticks and the Mac (blow clean with a compressed air duster on the Mac, use isopropyl alcohol on the contacts on the RAM sticks), reseat and reinstall the sticks and retry. Once Firefox is open, you should be able to open the Right click context menu on the icon. From there you select 'Options' and then de-select 'Open at Login'. Hope that helps.

You've accidently selected it as a "StartUp Item"
Open the System Preferences, click on accounts, and then StartUp Items and remove it.

Touchpad Cannot Start Code 10 Every Other boot

Model: 3000 N100 768 A49
Symptoms: The touchpad device is unable to start code 10. Every other boot when runnign Windows 7 Beta and RC
Other associated symptom when this occurs is that the display resolution gets set to 640*480. Only resolution is to reboot.
This happens on a CLEAN INSTALL of both Beta and RC.
The mouse works perfectly thorough the installation process and initial boot.

On futher inspection I find that most drivers fail to load when this happens and there is a kernel-pnp warning in the logs for every driver that fails to load. I believe that it may be caused by an IRQ/APIC problem. If this is the case we may need a bios upgrade to support windows 7 on the N100. Which i dont think will happen considering lenovo has no vested interest in supporting consumer grade notebooks.
Is there anyone at lenovo I can contact to try and help resolve this? I have not received a single reply.
This problem is not common at all. I have only found one other similar thread and the notebook was an hp notebook.
Again the weird thing is that it happens every other boot.
When the computer is off i turn it on and drivers fail to load. Then i turn it off then back on and everything works fine.
However this does not happen with Vista.
If anyone is interested I can post the logs.
