windows 8 installation gets stuck during create partition step in bootcamp. I tried to restart the bootcamp with same results. I have given it more than 6 hrs for last 3 times but I was able to go past this step previously where I got stuck during registering windows8.
Hi,
According to your description, it seems that your all Windows 8.1 computers connect to network via normal wireless network.
Did you have wireless router for them?
Please delete this adhoc, then check if these computer could connect to network.
If no, follow below guide to create and connect to adhoc :

Installation directory of Operating System
Hi all,
I am trying to know installation directory of operating system. I tried to get it with System.getProperty(key). But no key returns installation directory of OS. Currently i am working with windows XP. I need to save one dll dynamically in its /Windos/System32 directory. Plz help me how to do this.I want to know in which directory operating system is installed dynamically. i have to download my library in windows/System32. Just repeating the same question doesn't offer any clarification.
Why do you want to find this directory? Why do you think you have to put your DLL there? What are you trying to accomplish by doing that? That's not your actual requirement; it's a solution you've come up with to whatever your actual requirement is. If you want that question answered, I suggest you define what you mean by "the directory where the OS is installed," because in general, there isn't really such a thing. Or you could answer my question about what you're actually trying to accomplish.

OBIEE 11.1.1.7 installation Issues - Fails on Creating a Domain
Hi,
I have completed all the steps mentioned in different posts in this forum regarding my error, but none of them helps. After comprehensive searching i have tried to install OBIEE with these steps also.
1st time installation:
1. Followed simple steps
a) Created schema using RCU on MS SQL Server successfully.
b) After that ran the setup of OBIEE, it succeeded all the way, but when it was configuring it stuck on Creating Domain, and eventually failed after 180 minutes.
2nd time installation:
I completely removed, OBIEE from my system, with all the registry entries included. Started a fresh installation after reading all these forum posts. but still it failed again on Creating a domain, this time i kept on re-trying for 3 times, it failed and it took me about 315 minutes overall.
a) Create a loop back adapter.
b) Assigned that adapter an IP (10.10.10.10). Configured the /etc/host file reflecting my adapter IP and hostname.domain name.
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 WPKZS255082-XLZ.TX.MYDOMIN.COM WPKZS255082-XLZ
10.10.10.10 WPKZS255082-XLZ.TX.MYDOMIN.COM WPKZS255082-XLZ
(Above is my /etc/hosts file.
c) Installed Java JRE & JDK (7) on C:\JAVA and set the environmental variables in PATH (System Variable).
My System Configurations are:
Dell Latitude - E6520
8 GB Ram - 64-bit Architecture.

ERROR LOG ENDS
Request your urgent response on this matter. If anyone finds this same error, please send your feedback.
ThanksHello 0ad6e3fe-e3d8-4867-8ba9-780c4a7150ff,
Your name must be hard to type, let alone remember. Please choose a more speaking name / handle for this forum since it's inconvenient talking to an alphanumeric string rather than a person.
You seem to have port issues:
java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 7001 and 7500
java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 9500 and 10000
java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 9500 and 10000
However you're on Windows, so I suggest you check the last post in this thread: Re: OBIEE 11.1.1.5 installation Error on windows 7 64 bit
BTW: Doing a google search as well as a normal forum search bring up that thread and the very first search result for you issue. -
Stack Dump while creating Write Optimized DSO on BW 7.3, MS SQL - any SAP Notes?
While attempting to create a Write Optimized DSO on BW 7.3, MS SQL, we had a stack dump - ABAP Program CL_RSD_ODSO_VERS==============CP with short text " Access using NULL object reference is not possible. "
Has anyone seen any SAP Notes on this subject?Hi John,
Was any field deleted from the DSO, if yes, probably the system is not able to relate the pointer from the DSO table. Error like these come up very often when fields are deleted from DSO. Solution is to remove the field manually from the table also. However, the system is supposed to do but sometimes such ambiguity causes such issues. -

We have an error in the installation of Netweaver 2004s on an Solaris X64 10 (64 bit). We have j2sdk1.4.2_13 (32 bit installed)
In phase 'Create Java Users' , we receive the following error in dev_UserCheck.clone :
'*** ERROR => DlLoadLib: dlopen()= ld.so.1: jlaunch:
fatal: /usr/j2se/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so: wrong ELF class:
ELFCLASS32 -> DLENOACCESS (0,Error 0) [dlux_mt.c 314]
[Thr 4] *** ERROR => Can't load VM shared library (libjvm.so) (rc=-2)
[jhvmxx_mt.c 1576]'
I think this is an java error.
We can't find a download for the 64 supplementation package for solaris
X64. Is this supported?
Kind regards,
Serge SchellesHi Serge,
I'm no Solaris expert, but if I'm not mistaken, JRE and JDK versions for the X64 platform are only available as of version 1.5. It's worth a try, you can run them both at the same time on the same server. Just point your JAVA_HOME to the 1.5 directory after installation and start SAPinst again.
Good luck!

Cluster Installation - SQL 2005 / 2003 - Creating cluster group
Hi All,
I am working on the cluster Installation in our environment and facing some issues at the time of installing first node MSCS Installation. let me summarize the activities done so far
Environment Details
Physical Disk :
G: (Physical Disk - SAN )
I : (Physical Disk - SAN )
C: Local disk
Q: (Physical Disk Quorum - SAN )
F: (Database and logs)
-- > SCS installed locally in the server in G drive
Virtual Hostname and IP : SeparateIP & cluster1
Node 1: Hostname and separate IP
Node 2 : hostname and Separate IP
Installed MSCS service and tested the same - its working fine
Installed SQL 2005 database in cluster mode and its working fine
Started installing SAP
Step 1: Installation of SCS instance in node A (Used F drive) - Successfull Installed
Step 2: Installation of First node MSCS in node A
Here I am facing an issue, in the end phase of the installation it will ask for creating cluster group -- > There I need to define the Global disk as F (Which is defined at the time of installing SCS instance) - But i dont see that disk is available in the drop down box .
Is there any other workaround to bring the Global disk while creating the cluster group (First node MSCS installation)
Looking forward for your suggestions
Thanks and Regards
VijayRegret for the late update
112266 solved my problem and In my case, I have bisected the disk as two but in the cluster environment that should not be the case. Ensure the the same in disk management

Is it possible to create an msi package if the product you are upgrading is Multilingual (MUI) and the update(msp) you are applying is not Multilingual (MUI) but "All languages"?
Please download the latest Adobe Reader patch from the below mentioned location, it will work with MUI installer.

ECC5 installation error during phase "Create Database"
We are installing ECC5 on IA64 using Oracle 9207.
At phase 'Create database' the sapinst aborts reporting errors executing the oradim -NEW SID command.
The oradim.log contains one row only : "DIM-00019: error creating service".
The OracleServiceSID is created, but it does not start.
If we try to run manually the command "Oracle.exe SID", so the same command that is started by the OracleServiceSID service a popup appear saying:
"The entry point kdr9ir2_pop could not be located in the dynamic link library oracle oracommon9.dll"
Any idea ? Are there problems with the oracle 920 sw installation or what ?
regardsHi,
Sounds like oracle problem.
- Please post the last few error statement from sapinst_dev.log.
- Check if the the following key is in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\services\OracleService
- check oracle alert<SID>.log, see if there is any significant errors.
- see note #602843
- if "DIM-00019: error creating service", does it mean that an Oracle service with the same SID already exist? if so, use command "sc delete [service name]" to delete the service and then restart the installation.
Hope this helps.
cheers,

10gR2 RAC installation: OUI forgets to create directory 'crs/auth' (BUG)
Hi,
We've got a new installed 10gR2 RAC cluster (2 nodes) on AIX. But there were several errors during startup of CRS (Cluster Ready Services).
The error log shows, that it couldn't write a special file (I guess a lock file).
So I just created the missing directory 'crs/auth' and anything works fine now.
This post is just for those who are looking for a solution for their non-working crs daemon. No need to answer.
But I suppose Oracle should log it as an installation bug, because the Universal Installer does not create this directory and so the CRS can not work.
Best regards
Svenit looks like i hit a bug in crs 11.1.0.6 -> bug 6782573
becuase i can see in my /var/log/messages

Production order status, header released, operations created
Hello, I´m struggling with the following problem on production orders
When you look to first line in the header you see that the order is on release. When you go to the operation operation overview the operations are still on created
How is this possible and how to resolve?
If I click on release operation: Invalid function selected comes up.
Br MatthiasHi,
Plz go to production order operation tab, select operations & just check below a relese flag , just 3 ICON RIGHT TO Component tab, prt tabs.
& click it , operation should be released, if still not released then delete opeartion & recreate them manually.
Thanks.........Rakesh -
ADF Entity Object: Securable Operation "Create"?
Hello,
I have the following scenario: Within one view I have a table bound to a view object that bases on an entity object. The view also contains a "create insert" button.
Now I want to secure the "create insert" operation with a certain application role. However, within the entity object I can only activate the removeCurrentRow, read and update options as securable operation. Is there any way to control the creation of new items?
Regards,
MichaelHi.
