OMS INTEGRATION SUGGESTION

HI
Iam running OMS connected with around 20 databases which makes life easier to run the job parallally in all.
Now,i have around 10 remaining databases which can be reached(can be connected only from that respective router) from one of these 20 databases.
To make it simple ----- x,y,z databases
x - management server
y - target database
z - target database
x <-> y
y <-> z
Now i want to make 'z' database to be automated like 'y'.I have basically two options to think of
1. Add the route address of z in x node network router. But unfortunately my network administrator beleives it leads to security breach.
2. create one more OMS repository in z region connecting all remaining 10 databases.
Here my question is if i have two OMS repositories is it possible to cascade the scheduled jobs or events from one OMS TO another OMS?
Hope made my case clear.
Thanks for valuable inputs.

thanks ace2, quick question ....
A*nybody can tell me for sure if there is any cost involve with oracle --> ms access integration ?*
Also, there will be two way communication: oracle to ms access and ms access to oracle...... so i was thinking about using XML file to communicate data between two systems.
any thought?

  • IPhone integration suggestion

I'm very interested in buying an iPhone but have concerns about accumulating multiple pieces of computer equipment. It would be really nice if Apple would develop a sort of docking system for the iPhone where the iPhone could be plugged into a notebook shell like a card. The iPhone would be the master processor and notebook would be an auxiliary where processors would augment as parallel processors (more power). The shell would hold a larger hard drive (store music, data, applications, etc.). You could have internet access and telephone capability through the iPhone while you're working on a document as your riding on a train or a bus. You can leave the shell in your office/home if all you need is the finished product. You'd have the portability of the iPhone with the utility of a notebook all in one integrated unit instead of having a bunch of pieces floating around. Sell it as one unit (basically take the new "Air" notebook and put a slot in it for the iPhone). Away you go.

  • Oracle integration suggestion.....

    Guys,
Yesterday, I asked the question about the Oracle and Access integration and I got the answer that through oracle heterogeneous service, you can connect to ms access to insert/update data.
I had an another thought about the direct vs. indirect integration method.
    1. Using XML to send and receive data between oracle and MS. Access.
Have a specified location where oracle will generate xml file and on specified time interval ms access checks the folder and process
that file. Same other way around Access can generate xml file and oracle can process that file using scheduling job.
    2. Using heterogeneous service - seems like a free service as I was able to find MS Access driver online
If immediate information is needed in both system then I don't have any choice but to use heterogeneous service*??*
If information can wait for the scheduling job, I am planning to propose the approach 1 (generate/process xml file)
Anything I need to consider or missing / or one is better than another?

  • Outlook Integration Suggestion

Not sure if there is a board for suggestion but it would be great to have the ability to download from Remote Web Programming the DVR recording scedule into Outlook Calendar. In addition it would be even nicer to have an Outlook plug-in to program the DVR (via Web) by creating an Outlook Appointment. Many programs have plug-ins that communicate to WebEx interfaces this way.

  • Sharepoint integration suggestion

In a Sharepoint browser based document management system, people can't work with PDFs as editable files if their Acrobat preferences are set to “Display PDF in browser”.  That setting, which is only meant to enable dumbed-down, browser-based PDF viewing, is ON by default in Acrobat Preferences, which prevents a knowledge worker from editing a PDF in Sharepoint..when they open a PDF they only get to view it in their browser with Acrobat Reader...they can't add/insert/rotate/delete pages, touch up text, etc. because with this setting checked, when they open a pdf, they are just viewing it in Reader.
But workgroups who make heavy use of PDFs in Sharepoint need the ability to edit PDFs, not just view them. It would help if Adobe was able to add  a Preferences setting in Acrobat that somehow automatically toggles this OFF if a user is trying to open a PDF in Sharepoint.  It could enhance Acrobat's compatibility with Sharepoint, which would seem to be a good marketing strategy for Adobe.

Have you tired the Microsoft site for information onto how to configure Sharepoint?

  • Game Controller integration (suggestion)

I just picked up a game controller, with the idea of
"somehow" allowing a user to manipulate their experience. Seems
flash 8 does not have any access and I have been looking about on
the net and the best I have found so far is a joy stick possibility

Looking into the future, some kind of interaction between a
game controller and flash has a lot of possibilities.
Not sure if this is beyond the confines of Flash, but if not,
a very cool possibility for an addition toi the Wish List.

  • Best Approach for integrating SAP CRM with Outage Management System

    Hi All,
We are moving towards deploying Outage Management System (Oracle Utilities NMS) to help localize the fault, achieve Outage Management and a transparent network with a near-real time stats. We already have SAP ECC 6.0, ISU, SAP PI 7.0 and SAP CRM 7.0. One of the challenges we are facing is to decide how should we go about the integration of SAP CRM with Oracle's Outage Management System.
Here is a sample business scenario,
CSR receives a call from a consumer and inquires about planned outages for a particular area.
This information is contained in the Outage Management System (OMS). OMS is SOA based and is hosted on Oracle Service Bus.
I want to know that is there any ES Bundles available for CRM-OMS integration? Should we go about Service Based Integration? What are the alternatives to Service based integration? Can it be done using BAPIs?
We receive around 1000 consumer complains and against every complain a ticket is generated in CRM. Now If CRM is integrated with OMS using SAP PI, the volume of the data being exchanged via PI is very much high and exceeds our licensed volume for SAP PI. So I do need to know the best practices for either approach that you may recommend.
    Regards,
    Adil Khalil

does anyone have an idea about this one, I've asked this question in a few places and no one really seems clear about it.
Also, I've read here and there that SAP Business One is not a real SAP product. It was bought by SAP and is sold by them but has little do to with SAP's technology (R/3, SAP ERP, Netweaver, SAP CRM, ...), and that therefore they don't support it that much ? Is any of this right ?
I'm just trying to get my vision of the SAP universe clear.

  • # of commits using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT in integration?

    Hi all,
my question is how many times can use BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT BAPI for commiting data in SAP Standard tables? curently I am calling BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT for every BP created in CRM. Ours is integration from legacy to CRM, and this job runs daily. Can we bundle 5000 or 6000 BP's created or processed successfully and then call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT bapi? what is the SAP recomendation for using this? I tried to see some documenation on this, unable to get any document which describes this.
Thanks for the help in advance.
    Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi Srivastava,
Thanks for the quick reply. We need to call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT when we finish one LUW or transaction so that the data gets commited in database. if any error then you can rollback using BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK. So my question here is if you start commiting for every single record then what if the import on system performance? is it going to be impacted or is it ok? If you take other languages like PL/SQL and any batch integrations suggested way of using commit is for every 5000 or 10000 record we need to commit.
Hope I have given enough info on this?

  • OEM-Website and OMS (win2000)

i can't launch the node & domain controller in the oem-webinterface,ervertime when i click on the HOSTNAME:53140 or HOSTNAME:53141 link, i will get a "500 Internal Server Error".
When i start the node and domain controllers manuell, the iFS Service is useable.
The next problem ist the oms integration.
The Intelligent Agent is runnig but in the OEM there is no Internet Filesystem entry.
I have do all steps like the Installation and Configuration Guide described.
On my testsystem, the infrastruct and applicationserver run on the same maschine with win2k os in different homes.
Is this the reason for my problems ?
i'm very gratefully for any tips or ideas.
    [sorry for the bad english.]

    Hallo Michael,

  • Using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT in a workflow

I notice that the BUS2032 method
    Salesorder->CreateFromDat2
is actually calling BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2. This must be explicitly committed to the database with COMMIT WORK, the recommended way being a call to BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
If I want to create a task with the method Salesorder->CreateFromDat2, should I also then as the next step create a task which uses the method BapiService->TransactionCommit, which actually calls BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT?
    Kind regards,
    Tony.

    Hi,
Generally these errors are observed when there are older version of agents talking to this OMS. But this will not cause any harm like crash to the OMS, but suggest to upgrade the older version of agents.
    Observations & Research:

  • No SSD's or..

Here, on the forum the SSD is no go, no benefits to PREpro or AE, and I get why.
Now via Twitter I get this Adobe tweet about the benefits of SSD to us..
    http://adobe.ly/qEIvrZ http://fb.me/1cqcfMA5o
    What your opinion?
I think, it's the same HP, Intel, Adobe deal like always.. If right, i feel sorry for the customers who aren't diving in this great forum for a few hours.

    Harm,
Not that I have deep pockets, but I am getting a business lease for my new system, so I can push the limits of certain items to get optimal performance in an acceptable budget limit. It comes pretty close to your ideal solution... hehehe
I just got off the phone a few minutes ago with my system integrator, and this is what we etched out just now (just before seeing your post):
    C: 1x OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 240GB, for OS, programs AND pagefile, on a PCIe x4 card
D: 1x Corsair Force Series GT 60GB, for cache, on SATA III on-board
E: 1x Corsair Force Series GT 60GB, for scratch, on SATA III on-board
    F: 16x 7200RPM Seagate SV35 series 1TB 32MB in RAID3 (or maybe RAID30?) with hot spare, for everything else, on Areca 1880ix-16/4GB
He has built many systems using separate disks for cache and scratch. And he found that it was the best combo for a performance tuned editing rigs. Although he did say conventional HDDs would do for the task, considering the access type and random nature of the read/writes of these functions, lower cost, small capacity SSDs work nicely, especially if you have PPro, AE and PS opened and working at the same time. I decided to spend a bit more to get GTs instead of "conventional" "slower" SSDs to get better performance... just in case. But that was a personal choice with no basis on tested systems. I admit the RevoDrive is overkill for an OS and app drive, but that's a small birthday present I'm treating myself to. But since I'm putting the pagefile on it, and needed the 2 on-board SATA IIIs for the cache and scratch disks, I imagine pagefile access won't ever be an issue at 1500MBps.
I do however have a limit of 14x 3.5" drives in the Lian-Li PC-V2120 (with a 4-in-3 cage, and 2 optical drives). But since I don't have an HPTX motherboard in a HPTX case, I'm hoping to rig in the 2 remaining 3.5" HDDs next to the 2x 2.5" mounts on the PSU separator plate. I'd like to find an alternative case with more drive space, but they are hard to find (aside from the ridiculously expensive, but very nice "Extended Ascension" custom case from Mountain Mod).
My system integrator suggests a little know secret about the SV35 series of Seagate drives. They are enterprise class, RAIDable, rated 24/7 for multiple streams of HD surveillance video recording and playback per drive. If they can do that, they must surely be worthy drives in a RAID for an editing rig? They are robust, have a 5 year warranty, and a lot less costly then the classic enterprise class HDDs. Costs about $68 for 1TB 32MB SATA III per disk from my vendor.  Any thoughts on this series of drives?

  • Typical XI Integration Challenge - suggestions needed

    Hello Forum,
I am a very enthusiastic SDN user and have been following the community since a long while now. I have the following challenge at one of our clients and need expert advices, remarks and suggestions based on your knowledge and experience. I have addressed this post also to the Industry Speak as I think this might also be useful to other SAP Partners which are involved in various XI implementations.
We have a typical SAP Integration Project where XI was finalised as "The Integration Solution". We have over 160 Interfaces which are mostly IDOC to File (vice versa) scenarios involving a range of legacy systems. In addition to that we have a number of as-is SAP-SAP scenarios which are realised over BAPI's as of date, which we plan to get realised over XI using RFC Adapters and possibly with Proxies when ever required. Our aim now is to consolidate the number of interfaces where ever possible to avoid the huge number of point-point interfaces. We would really appreciate your valued suggestions/experiences on this.
    1. Advantages / Disadvantages of using the IDOC Adapters with in XI instead of the ALE interfaces.
    2. What are the possiblities of consolidating the different File Interfaces to talk to one IDOC interface hence reducing the number of point-point interfaces. To put more precisely, multiple senders one or more recievers.
    3. I have come to read a lot about IDOC Packaging, how can this be use in a situation as briefed above.
    4. Would it be said feasible to get the BAPI Integration Scenarios, running over the Proxy runtime and calling the BAPI's inernally ?
These are the few topics that we would like to discuss with the forum. Due to restriction we are posting this under a strange but in true meaning of the name "XI interest" :-).
    Thanking in anticipation,
    XI Interest.

    Hi XI Interest !!!

  • How to suggest client to go for XI integration rather others ?

    Hi All Experts
Our client want to implement  EAI tool for integration purpose but thing is
he is not using any SAP Systems.
How to suggest the client to go XI rather than others ?
This integration is bet...NON SAP to NON SAP
First of all is it suggestable ?
    Waiting for your inputs/Suggestions
    Thanks and regards
    Rakesh

You can't plan the investiment of buying an EAI tool on a single interface.
You have to analyze the integration necessities of the client in the present and for the future and, if the client uses SAP ERP, having XI will always be an interesting option, since it:
    1. can handle all non-sap to non-sap integrations (tho it's not meant exclusively for that);
    2. can handle the sap to whatever integrations better than no other EAI.
If the client doesn't use SAP ERP but does a lot of B2B interactions with SAP users, buying only the Partner Conectivity Kit would be an available option.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • V33 now using search suggestions in integrated home page

Firefox updated itself to v33 last night and now the integrated home page with the Google entry box is no longer using autocomplete, but instead is using search suggestions. I do not want to use search suggestions, or else I would set Google as my home page.
How do I revert this to the prior behavior with autocomplete?

I suspect that my be related to the new "faster and snappier searches" feature in Firefox 33.
    http://msujaws.wordpress.com/2014/08/01/faster-and-snappier-searches-now-in-firefox-aurora/
''Yes, the example provided there is totally different then what you are talking about, but ...''
See if '''Show search suggestions''' in the Search Bar > Manage Search Engines... List is check-marked. With the massive number of consolidation steps that Firefox has seen over the past 5 or 6 versions to "search" functionality, that pref just may also be controlling what you are seeing on the default Homepage.
