OMWB must be installed into 9.0.1 home?

Universal installer gives me a message that OMWB 2.0.2.0.0 must be installed into 9.0.1 home? I have currently got Oracle 9i Release 2 installed. Will OMWB not work with this latest version of the database? Thanks, Mark

Hi,
The OMWB uses sepecific database dependencies. But as they are all bundled with the OMWB it can be installed into its own home.
Just create a new directory (i.e. "D:\OMWB") and install into this.
On the other hand as you have installed Oracle9iR2 ,
there is now a new version of the OMWB 9.2.0.1.0. (with many enhancements)
This is on the Oracle9iR2 disks under database utilities.
Or if you dont have the disks it can be downloaded from

(By the way, I should have pointed out in my earlier posting that I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on my Mac). I Just installed latest Yosemite update while my iPhone was switched off, and when my Mac restarted, the 'iPhone Cellular Calls' checkbox in the FaceTime preferences was checked and the problem was therefore solved. Switched on my iPhone, still fine. Relief.

I am using the Kurzweil 3000 software and before I can use Read the Web, KESIReader Firefox extension must be installed. This is not compatible with Firefox 5, how can I make your extension to work with my software?

I use the kurzweil 300 software and before I can use Read the Web I must first install the KESIReader.xpi Foxfire extension into Mozilla Foxfire however, the extension is not compatible with Mozilla Foxfire 5 which is the version installed on my computer. I purchased an upgrade standalone version of LR and yet the app indicates I have a trial version and I must remain logged into my account. It looks like I was given the CC version. Yes?

I spoke with a sales person requesting the upgrade standalone version of LR 6.0 - NOT the CC version. I received the email, clicked the link and downloaded LR. After installing LR, a message on the main screen indicates I have so many to register my application even though I entered my new license number AND I must remain logged into my Adobe account or LR will be deactivated. It looks like I was given the CC version any way. Is this true? or am I missing something?

Can OSX tiger or earlier be installed into a PowerMac 8600/300? I have OS 9.1 currently. If so, will it be easy to install? Thanks for your help.

OS X can only be installed on machines using G3 or later processors. Tiger requires a minimum of 256 MBs of RAM. Earlier versions of OS X required 128 MBs of RAM. These are minimum requirements. OS X requires a hard drive with a minimum of 6 GBs for installation but practically you need at least a 10 GB or larger hard drive. The hard drive must be formatted HFS+ (Mac OS Extended.)
It is possible to install OS X (probably not Tiger) using a freeware utility called XPostFacto (VersionTracker or MacUpdate). However, the computer must still have the minimum RAM and hard drive space.
Because of the heavy graphic overhead demanded by OS X I don't believe you will be pleased with the performance on such an old machine.

Desktop Manager states Updated Software Component Must Be Installed - but won't install it

I am running Desktop Manger 6.1.0.35 (Bundle 34) for a while. I am moving to a new smartphone of the same model but phone I am moving to has an older OS on it. I run the desktop manager which correctly determines that there is a new OS to load. I select the OS version to load and tell it to get the update and it responds with the error 'An Updated Blackberry Software component must be installed before you can continue'. It then asks if you wish to Install or Cancel. After selecting Install, it returns to the main screen of the desktop manager. Selecting UPDATE again, to insteall the latest OS, it repeats the same process again. So I am unable to load the latest OS into the device.
I've tried loading the software via the Blackberry web site instead, and it does the same thing. I can't get the OS updated.
Has anyone had this problem and determined how to get around it?

i am having the same issue for about 3 weeks now. I was able to install the latest version, 7.1, but i can't install a new OS. The software finds that there is a new OS that can be installed, but as soon i want to install it, the software demands an update, although it already is the newest version...
Might there be a general problem with the 7.1 version???

I noticed that PhotTool by default will install its cache files into C:\. Handy Backup installs its data there. It may be a concern if the phone keeps crashing without anybody knowing why. The disk may become full silently.

That is highly dependent on how the app is designed or developed. There is no way to know that unless you ask each developer.

I have no idea what that message means; try uninstalling using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html then download and reinstall the latest Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). What product and version number are you talking about. Is it a trial version, or is it the full or subscription version. If the latter, activate the product with your S/N or Adobe ID and then do the updates.

Does it automatically make folders named after the volume labels? And does it handle the conversion of spaces and non-alphanumeric characters to octal codes?
I could read the script but it would be faster for everyone reading, if you leave the answer as a reply.
I also think that there should be some major work done on modernizing the fstab, either by replacing it with a better implementation of file system mounting or changing the file structure and adding in better handling of non-alphanumerics. I don't want to have to look up a stupid octal table every time I type in my labels.

10.1.0.4 is not 10g Release 2, but only a patch level of Release 1 (of course higher than 10.1.0.2. Patches have always to be installed into the existing ORACLE_HOME, if you plan to install Release 2 , you have to install it into a new home.

If you are referring the downloading as an automatic part of the overall process, can you explain the failure in more detail?
