On 3250 after 4.14 upgrade, couldn't open Web Brow...

Hi,
I've upgraded my 3250 to 4.14. I've formatted my memory card before upgrading firmware and after upgrade, I've installed Nokia Web Browser. I can see it in my menu. But when I click on the icon, it's not opening. I've tried once hard format the software too. What can be the problem?
Thanks

Hi Mahmet,
Good to know that the C160 is now working.
Maybe you can check the hard drives stataus from System status or run 'version' from CLI.
You can also log a support case for IronPort engineer to look into what could have caused the system interuption if you wish.
Thanks,
Donny

  • After 7.01 upgrade, can't open PowerPoint files from Mail

After updating 4th gen iPad to iOS 7.01, PowerPoint slides attached to emails won't open.  Prior to the upgrade, I could double click on a PowerPoint attachment, which would proceed to download and then open it.  It also will not open in Quickoffice either.

Thanks for the response but I think you've misunderstood the problem. I can not open any type of PowerPoint file off my server in keynote. This includes .ppt and .pptx files. (Also includes .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx in pages and numbers).
Even if what you said worked it would take forever to go through every file and save them all as ppt 2007. Plus of course, I don't know what files I will need when. There are hundreds of resources I need to access when I'm at home. I need the flexibility to view the files when i need to and on the go. Normally I can download them off my school network on to my iPad in keynote and edit them then I email them back to myself ready to use the next day or to save back to my network. Currently I can not download any Microsoft office file. So I am now forced to have to lug my laptop home everyday, rendering my iPad and iMac useless. I can't pre-empt what I'll need and save it as .ppt as that is completely inflexible and that won't open anyways as this is not an issue with the version of PowerPoint file. This is an issue with how all Microsoft files are downloading from my school network to my iPad and iMac. I want Apple to allow this to work like it used to before the upgrades in operating systems. I wish I hadn't upgraded as it worked perfectly. :(

  • After sp1- R2 upgrade, Clients cannot open Software center

    Hi
I am in a bit of a bind..
We upgraded from SP1 to R2 (not CU2 just the r2 for starters)
All went well and all clients in our organization have been upgraded.
Unfortunately I've discovered that the software center on the clients can no longer load.
It seems the ccm client is running fine it's just the software center that is not loading when I try to open it.
The error from the software center windows is(translated from Danish so I am unsure of the correct MS wording):
The Software center cannot be loaded. Problem loading the required components. You can try starting the software center later...
Only thing I've found so far that stands out in the logs so far (sccclient_MYDOMAIN@mrt_1.log) is:

  • After reset my Firefox no longer opens web pages automatically when I type the keywords in the Location bar. How do I fix this?

Before I reset my Firefox I was able to just type words in the Location bar and Firefox would redirect me to the website. For example, typing "reservoir dogs imdb" would redirect to the IMDB page of this movie, and typing a random sequence of characters would take me to (for example) a website of some company that uses these characters as the abbreviation of its name.
I never set this option anywhere, it was just like that for quite a long time. Now this possibility is gone for me and I can't seem to fix it.
I use the laters Mozilla Firefox 21.

Starting with Firefox 23 the keyword.URL pref is no longer supported and it is no longer possible to specify the search engine for the location bar that way (keyword.enabled still works to disable this search).
The search engine that is used on the location bar and on the about:home page is the search engine that is selected in the search Bar on the Navigation Toolbar.
You can install the Keyword Search extension to specify with search engine to use for the location bar and which search engine to use for the about:home page via the Options/Preferences windows of this extension, accessible via the about:addons page.

  • C160 couldn't open after firmware upgrade

    Hi,
We have a problem with our ironport C160 product. When we power on the device, it is starting its services and replies pings you can see from (1).
After that, it doesn’t ping no more and web page couldn’t open. For testing this issue, I connected a console cable to the device from its serial port. It starts asyncos services, then gives an error like (2)
Last night, I upgraded its firmware. It took approximately 2-3 hours and when upgrading process finished I rebooted the device. After I opened and saw the new version installed, I shut down the device from CLI.
Today, it couldn’t open. What can it be originated from and how can we solve this problem?
    Thanks,
    Mehmet.

  • The OSX upgrade couldn't be started because the disk is damaged and can't be repaired.

I'm getting the above error message after trying many different "fixes" described on message boards.  Here's the issue: I have a Macbook Pro that developed a problem with an endless boot cycle.  The solution ended up being to wipe the drive using Disk Utility.  I then reinstalled OSX from a Snow Leopard disk, and the computer appeared to be working normally.  Then, when I attempted to upgrade to Mavericks from the App Store, I get this message when the computer tries to reboot and install the OS.  I have tried verifying and repairing the disk, resetting NVRAM/PRAM, resetting the SMC...but always I get the following error message:
    Install Failed
OSX could not be installed on your computer
The OSX upgrade couldn't be started because the dis Macintosh HD is damaged and can't be repaired
Curious if anyone has experienced this problem or has a possible fix.  Thanks for your help

I did not verify/repair from Snow Leopard...simply reinstalled then attempted to download/install Mavericks from the App Store.  Having seen this suggestion, I've now rebooted into recovery mode, and when I try to verify/repair, it aborts both processes and I get the respective errors:  "The volume couldnot be verified completely" and "Error: Disk Utility can't repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed-up files."

  • I have problem with Access Connections on L412 after that utilyty upgrade

I have problem with Access Connections on L412 after that utilyty upgrade in early August. Windows 7 Ultimate/x64.
It stops connecting to WPA2 Enterprise (AES-CCMP), Microsoft PEAP, no server cert, with any credentials I try to use. The same account(s) works with native Intel manager on other notebooks and on mobile devices. I lost the wireless connectivity to enterprise WiFi network.
And, after deinstallation of Access Connections, the inability to connect keeped intact with native Win7 WiFi management.
I think, something was broken in Access Connections 5.83 Build 83C753WW and some registry settings/ dll modules were altered but not returned to normal after deinstall.

Access Connections is definitely broken for WPA encryption.  Both versions 5.02 and 5.84 fail for me.  If I use the Windows XP wireless configuration instead of Access Connections, everything works.
Does anyone know how to report this to Lenovo?  I chased links around the web site but couldn't find a place.

  • After Effects warning: Couldn't open Quicktime video output component????

    Hello,
I was wondering why this warning is coming up every time I open After Effects-
(After Effects warning: Couldn't open Quicktime video output component.)
It also reappears every time I go to a different program then back into After Effects.
    I am currently on a-
    MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.5
2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
    After Effects CS3
    Quicktime 7.5.5
    GeForce 8600M GT
2 external storage drives (Western Digital, Lacie)
    Matrox MX02
I just upgraded quicktime and this started appearing.
    ANY IDEAS.

    Sorry,
Here;s another. I have Quicktime Pro installed. I have CS3 installed. I also have AE v7 which runs a few plugins I am still thinking work in v7. CS3 runs OK but in version 7 it gives me the "Couldn't open Quicktime Video Output Component " notice. I had a client working in v7 so I tried to work in v7, it was a bad idea. I lost days of work and finally just went to CS3 to get the job done but couldn't use one anothers files between versions.
What can I do to get the AE v7 Couldn't open Quicktime video output component fixed. Make it simple if you can... I'm an artist.
    Thanks

  • Can't activate after latest iPad upgrade. Advises me to go to iTunes but it won't get off the error screen.

Can't activate after latest iPad upgrade. Error message advises me to go to iTunes but it won't get off the error screen.

I am the original owner of an ipad and it woke it yesterday requiring me to activate it using the original apple id used to set it up.
It will not accept my apple id and password.
It does not show up in my icloud under devices.
I have tried hard restart (home + power) and itunes recovery.
I am out of ideas and have not found anything for original owners (as opposed to someone who bought it from someone else).  I did see some posts from last year where a few people had the same problem and took it back to apple and got a refurbished unit given to them since customer service and engineering couldn't fix it.  I was wondering if this was related to the recent ios8 upgrade. Anybody else have ideas or same problem before I hike down to the apple store for mercy?

upgrading from snow leapord to mavericks, i couldn't opened app store, messenger, ibook,FaceTime, maps and other. please help

Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

    Safe Mode - About
If that doesn't work, do a backup. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Then reinstall the OS.

  • All Goes to Heck After 5.1 Upgrade

I have been having problems ever since the iOS5 upgrade a few weeks ago and have posted a thread about it as well as posted in the threads of others having similar problems. I have been unable to sync with the cable, though I recently found I could sync wirelessly.
Today I eagerly downloaded 5.1 in hopes it might solve my problems (even though my syncing issue was not one of the 5.1 features listed). At the end of the process, I got an error message that the upgrade couldn't be done. In addition, EVERYTHING had been wiped off my iPad.
The only option was to do a restore. After the restore, I had a small fraction of my apps, NO music, NO books, NO Photos, NO vidoes, etc.
AND, my iPad would not sync -- even wirelessly. It gets to a certain point in the sync, freezes, and then aborts the sync.
I am currenty engaged in a workaround of dragging the icons for my media onto the iPad icon in iTunes. Seems to be working so far. Crossing my fingers.
I know others are having similar issues. Is the only solution another iOS upgrade that doesn't zap everything off my iPad? And how do I know I can trust it not to?

Have you considered deleting your backup? Many times this works, but if you only have one backup, you will be removing that backup.  These are instructions copied from another discussion.
Launch iTunes with your iPad connected to your computer. Make sure the iPad is listed under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window.
From your iTunes menu bar click Edit/ Preferences then select the Devices tab. (or iTunes/Preferences/Devices on a Mac).
If there is more then one backup available, delete all but one. If you only have one backup - delete it.
Restart your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Restart your computer and then Try to sync now.
If you just want to move the backup to another location on your hard drive - without deleting it, and then try to sync, this article tells you how to find out where the backup is located. If you do this - just remove the backup folder.

  • Exchange mail after iOS 8 upgrade not working

exchange mail after iOS 8 upgrade not working.
I can not get email from my exchange account.
    Any suggestion?

Just had this issue.  I turned WIFI off and it connected fine.  Then turned WIFI back on and working as always.
It had something to do with the WIFI conflicting with the exchange server.
