On a certain website, it says to click here to download plugin Java Runtime Environment. I receive the message installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection settings. It was fine before the upgrade to 4.01. I have another PC that has IE on it and it works fine and again it worked fine until the upgrade to 4.01. I've done the off-line download but in Firefox it still says I need the plugin and still results in the installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection settings.

You can install Java from here: http://www.java.com/en/ 
You also need to update your Flash installation since the one you have at the moment exposes your system to attack. It's a similar story for Adobe Reader.

However you dont want to set your MBP to never go to sleep...
Adjust reasonable sleep settings...
And the download an APP called caffiene...
When you click it you can have your MBP never go to sleep with a single click of your menu bar... and with another click it can go to sleep normally to maintain the laptop...
Simply click the cup... To toggle never sleep/sleep

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

Canon T3i download cable will no longer work after 10.10 download. Plugging the cable into the 15 inch laptop says not compatible with software. Was fine before the 10.10 upgrade.

I have a DSC-T1 Sony camera. I also have a Panasonic video camera with a built in digital camera. I just took some shots with the Panasonic. Plugged it in, and it worked perfectly. iphoto opened and did what it was supposed to do. I then tried the Sony and nothing happened again. My guess would be it has created an entirely new backup of your drive when you upgraded to Mavericks.

I download a suggested "update" from the App Store for my iPhoto yesterday. Now when I try and open my iPhoto, I get a grey screen with the rotating circle icon in the middle......that just keeps rotating. Ergo, it won't open!!! Before the "download" all was fine in Heaven & Earth....now, I'm a little peeved.
Anyone have a suggestion?

No need to be wary of iPhoto updates however it is a good idea to follow the instructions when updating. I haven't updated iPhoto from the App Store before however it should not be much different than doing a DVD update. Here are instructions on updating the library:

Try rebooting the iPad as well. You might be getting an inaccurate reading and rebooting might clear that up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Juno webmail - my default homepage loads but am not able to read email. was fine before the 4.0b7 update. Still works in 3.6.12 so will use it from now on.

Just did the update. I use Juno for my email and have it set up as my homepage. I can navigate around the page but can't open personal folders or the email read pages at all.

Finally, I was able to talk with Apple Support. They confirm that theorically, this digital set-up should work. But it doesn't...
So I will take the long road. First I will use the S/PDIF audio optical Toslink output of a commercial DVD player and connect it to the 1/8 Line-In input jack of my iMac. This is to prove Yes or No if the iMac is able to take S/PDIF optical audio source. If the answer is NO, ouch! If the answer is yes, Good. Then I will attack the Electrical to Oprtical converter circuit.

I use Pro Tools 10 on my iMac and after installing Mavericks it doesn't recognize any Output from my Avid Minibox to play audio through my monitors. I used to be able to play iTunes or work I did on Pro Tools. Worked fine before the upgrade...anyone? Also, my clock on my desktop before logging in keeps loosing time...weird. Thank you!

So I checked my website from our other computer (not the one I use to update it) and all images loaded and looked fine. I then tried it from this computer (the only one used to update the website) and no pictures! Why is this?! I think it has something to do with this "comment widgets" statement at the bottom of each web page and the RSS box at the end of the web address bar. Any ideas how to fix this and get it back to where it was working would be appreciated!

I just got the iBooks update and that fixed the problem, except the book covers look like they were done in a government printing office.
