On a good screen is there ANY negative black effect?

My iPhone is a replacement refurbished unit. Since my replacement, I am experiencing negative black effect and dead spot. Few weeks ago, I called Apple care and after explaining the problem, they sent me a loaner and shipped mine to Apple center for repair. The loaner was superb, enjoyed it without any negative effect or dead spot at all, and had for a week until my original unit came back. All excited, open the box and look at service report, nothing was done to the unit and indication was they couldn’t reproduce the problem so they sent the unit back to me without any repair with the same old issues.
So I called apple care again and told them the loaner I have is extremely brighter, better, than my original one and I could see the difference and the problem with the negative effect so, they transferred me to product specialist and after talking to product specialist it was like I came from planet Naboo that I have no idea what I am talking about, even when I was indicating to her that there are two different screen version 5 and 7 with the loaner being 5 and mine original 7. She asked me, “How do I know?” Told her, well dialing the diagnostic sequence on the iPhone *300… All and all she said NO, there is no difference between two products and I hanged up and went with my business and only using the my iPhone without the video because at the end of the day I am the unlucky one out of the 1.2 M iPhone units sold. Hummm. I wonder who is the lucky one now has the loaner unit for one week.

Use the Settings app.
Settings > General > Passcode Lock > Enter the Passcode > Turn Off Passcode

Is there any negative in this workflow?

I am trying to keep my encoded files as small as possible for streaming so I have begun using this workflow, Any cons? I shoot in 720p 60 (59.94) then edit in ProRes, but I change my frame rate in the sequence to 29.97. It looks good, but are there any negatives in this? I then export to ProRes LT which makes the file even smaller. Any negatives here? Will this make my encode time longer since I am going to ProRes LT?
Any input will be greatly appreciated as usual.

I'm guessing that you don't have a 29.97fps option at the 720 size…otherwise, the main reasons to shoot 59.94 are either for slow motion or because you're shooting action scenes and you (and your viewers) think it looks better with that material.
But to your questions, if the speed change looks good to your audience when streaming, then that's the only test that counts. And PR LT seems like a perfectly reasonable choice for a lot of things…but are you going to PR LT and then to H.264 for the Web? I guess that seems like an unecessary additional step to me with no great value except a slightly smaller master file – and yes, some extra encoding time.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart.. Reset.. Restore from Backup.. Restore as New...
Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds...
Release the Buttons...
Turn the Phone On...

Is there any negative in changing an external hard drive from FAT32 to NFTS?

I have a 500 GB external hard drive,
Western Digital, that is formatted as FAT32. I have tried to save some movie files in Moviemak
er from the External file to a file in a second internal hard drive so I can then edit in Premier but it says there isn't enough
space. The new internal hard drive is a Terabyte and has lots of space. The C drive is almost full. I want to reformat the external drive to NTFS. Is there any downside to that?
My PC has XP pro, 4 G Ram. My problems come from trying to convert files because of missing codecs. Yet when I analyze them with Gspot- it says nothing is missing.

Pam,
What you actually want to do is Convert. The term "format" is used, when referring to FAT-32 and NTSF, but the operations are different. Convert should NOT harm the drive, or losse any data. I have done this with dozens of externals, without any incident. However, I have to admit that most of these are brand new, with no real data - so I am less concerned. When I have Converted older drives, I have made a backup - just in case, but still have never had one issue, or even one lost, or damaged file.
This ARTICLE goes into more detail. Also, please check your particular OS version's Help Files. That article was done a few OS versions ago, and there could be small, but important changes, especially in the parameters.

Many providers either assign and/or let you set an email address to be used instead of your phone number. All the providers here in Japan do that. It may be possible in the U.S. too.
So while you can send to my phone number (which is only useful if using an app which capable of doing that), you can also send an MMS to a special email address, which makes it possible to send MMS messages from an ordinary email client to my phone. That is very convenient.
On my iPhone 5 there is a setting in Settings > Messages at the bottom that is labeled "MMS Email Address". If I enter the email address there (which has to be registered with my cell phone provider) then people can send me MMS messages from phones or ordinary email clients.

OK - to answer my own question, Apple recommend 8.2.1, but you can install 9.1.1 and it will run on a G3. Very slowly. Looks like this is the only option. Get it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1036. You need OSX 10.4.11 or later though....

For the second one, I guess the answer is no, I just want double check.

Doing system-wide change is always a big challenge.
Since you know what queries are affected by the bug, why don’t you set those parameters for those queries only.

When you first turn it on your computer may slow down a bit until it is fully encrypted but after that there shouldn't be any problems.

The version 1 sort will use more memory and more CPU to do an in-memory sort.
It's hard to give much indication of the difference, but it will be related to the number of items sorted.
