I saw on my friends iPhone 5 that it showed the percentage
of battery at the top.. How do you do that in settings
on an iPod 5?

There is a way that iPod touches can get battery percentage. Note that this will work for any iPod on any iOS. You do NOT need to jailbreak for this to work.
You will need to download iBackupbot for itunes it is for Mac and Windows.
1. Download iBackupBot for Windows or Mac.
2. Plug in your iPod Touch, Launch iTunes and create a current Backup of your iPod.
3. Open iBackupBot, and click your latest backup located on the left side. Then close iTunes.
4. Find: Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist in the right window and double click to open it,
hit cancel to bypass the registration notice.
5. On the next line down after <dict> type this exactly as shown:
<key>SBShowBatteryLevel</key>
<true/>
Restore your iPod through iTunes using the backup you just edited.
Thats how you get it!

Hi Rolomoto, when in Finder, press shift+command+G and type "/Users" in the box (without the quotes). You can also get the "Go To" box from the Finder menu. Finder will show you the different users folders, with the currently logged in user having a "house" for the folder. Because each users' folder is for them only, you won't get permission to see much inside them.

How can you get songs already on your iPod back into iTunes?

I previously posted this question under a really bad title and got no answers, so here's a quick summary with a more relevant title:
Due to some mistakes I made, I lost most of my music library from my computer (& iTunes), but I still have all the songs on my iPod (which I backed up). The problem is that if I try to sync it with iTunes, iTunes simply tries to ERASE any songs on my iPod that aren't already in iTunes. Even if I set the synchronization to manual, which would stop the erasing, I still don't know how to get the songs back onto my computer. (They are stored in an unusuable form on the iPod.)
Below is the original post with more details. This can't be such an unusual situation - there must be a way to recover songs on your iPod back to your computer...
Note to Apple: I'd love to buy a lot more from the Apple store but I can't use iTunes at all until I resolve this.
I had to get a new computer. (I'm using a PC but I love Macs.) The new computer is running XP Pro and I have a 4th generation iPod (click wheel).
Initially I copied the iPod music directory from the old computer to the new one and launched iTunes. It worked - but 60% of my library was missing, including all but 2 of my purchased songs!
Luckily I still have my entire library on my iPod. So I backed up my iPod, then uninstalled iTunes and deleted the iTunes directory from my PC. Then I reinstalled iTunes. Guess what? Somehow it still remembered the previous library (with 60% missing!) And when it saw my iPod attached, it deleted all the songs to match!
Lucky I made that backup - I copied it back to my iPod and things seem fine. But how do I get the songs from my iPod back into iTunes? Especially the ones I purchased from the Apple store. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Here are a couple of methods.Go to <a href="http://images.google.com/Ó>Google Image Search</a> and type in (say) "The Beatles", and click on search images. That brings up 327,000 images!! You could be more specific and just type in "Abbey Road", if that was what you were looking for. Double click on a picture you like, then at the top of that page click on "see full size image". When you get that image, simply copy/paste it into the space for album artwork in iTunes. Make sure you select the album in the browser of iTunes before you copy/paste. You'd be surprised what Google Images can bring up. There are literally millions, and even obscure album artwork can be found.
In the unlikely event that Google canÕt find an image, you can also get artwork from Amazon.
If youÕre happy using images from Amazon, and donÕt want to copy/paste, then http://www.yvg.com/itunesartimporter.shtmlÓ>Art Importer is a nice free program to do it for you.

How do you get an ipa off your iPad to backup if the app was removed from the app store and using "Transfer purchases" does not copy the ipa over to iTunes?

Hello everyone. Can anyone shed some light on this problem? If I downloaded an app from the app store called "Print to PDF" that allows opening any application and going to print converts that to a PDF e.g. Safari pages, mail etc and I did not sync or "transfer purchases" for some time and when I look in the app store that app is no longer there so I thought if I could "transfer purchases" iTunes would then have the .ipa and I could back it up and copy it to my iPad 2 but I don't see the ipa in the "mobile applications" directory. How do I get it off my iPad and into iTunes to backup?

Ashka, I have tried to "transfer purchases from device" but that is what I am saying that I do not see the app in the "mobile applications" directory after I do that process. I was wondering if anyone else knew of a way to get to the ipa file that is stored on the iPad such as a program that could browse the directories of the iPad of even an app that could do it so I can get and save the actual app in ipa format.
