On Apple TV can I use "sub" or personal phot streams rather than displaying the baseline photo stream?

I would like to control the sequence and content of what ends up as the screen saver for my Apple TV. Can I use other "folders"?

You can specify a folder on a computer (or iPhoto events etc on a Mac) though you may not get perfect control over display order.
Use iTunes>File>Home Sharing>Choose photos to share etc
iTunes would need to be running on teh LAN to support this.

retrieves user data, including the password for
the LDAP server, and checks the password in
WebLogic Server.

bind to the LDAP server with the username
and password supplied by theWebLogic
Server client. If you choose the External
setting, you must also use the SSL protocol.
3. Local specifies that the LDAP security realm
authenticates a User by looking up the
UserPassword property in the LDAP directory
and checking it against the passwords in
WebLogic Server.
But say I want that my users should be authenticated by the LDAP server rather
than picking up the password from LDAP and comparing at weblogic end. Then what
should I do ?
Because no. 2 is applicable only for ssl certificates, no.1 and no.3 picks up
password using the login dn and password provided at the time of configuration
of realm and compare with password given by user.
And once gain there some issues on having picking up password and comparing it:
1. Netscape directory server can store the password in oneway hashed form(and
that is preferred , too). So when userpassword attribute is read , it's in one
way hashed form. So how the comparison will go on ?
2. Creating a user who has the access to user data along with userpassword attribute
itself is a security threat, as if someone can crack that user's dn and password
then he/she can do anything as userdata can be read.
Any suggestion is welcome.

I have another question, if that is the case (in Case of BIND), then why do we
a require a dn of user and password who has the access to read the entire directory
And at the same time, u specified this for Bind, what are the cases for other
two-local and external ? And then what is actually difference between Bind and
Local ?

I know for sure that when you specify BIND, weblogic sends the username/password

If the bind is successful, WLS determines that the username/password

Recently I reset my submenues to use the Show All option rather than displaying the entire contents of the menu. How do I get that setting back.

Recently, I altered how my sub menes are displayed. I opted to have the sub menues display a "Show All" option to access the entire sub menu. This was a mistake and I can not determine how to return my sub menues to the complete list of available choices. How do I do this?

Which sub menus do you mean?
Are that sub menus from the Firefox menu bar or orange Firefox menu button or the context menu on a web page or otherwise?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

We have two iphones each with a different apple id - can i use the same laptop and itunes for back up, restore and updates without risking having my apps overwritten. Basically does itunes keep the two iphones as two separate entities ? Does iTunes differentiate between the two devices and keep two different SYNCs ?

Yes, you can use the same computer for BACK UPS, RESTORING AND UPDATING. But that is it.
You cannot, however, use it to sync the different devices. iTunes will only recognize one device to sync with and if you sync any other devices with that iTunes library, it will replace what is on the phone with whatever is in the library. It cannot differentiate between devices. At most, it will jsut recognize that the phone has been synced with a different iTunes library.
So if you would like to use the same computer for backing up, restoring and updating, just make sure to turn of Automatic Syncing in your iTunes Preferences.

Yes, but if you want these devices to have complete capability of calling each other they each must have their own separate, individual e mail address. If they don't have individual e mail addresses, the i phones will be able to call each other because you'll be using their individual phone numbers -- the Mac mini will be able to call the i phones, but, the iphones will not be able to call the Mac mini. This is because the iphones will be using the mini's e- mail address to make the call, and if they have the same e mail address, they will think they are calling themselves, so the call will not connect.
So, the way I see it is, if you keep all of the email addresses the same, the only thing you'll loose is the ability of the iphones to call the mini.
EDIT: Thinking about it, my first sentence needs to be modified. Your iphones can share an email address but it must be different from the Mac mini address.
This isn't rocket science, but it can make your head spin. LOL

I have it running on the latest NON-Retina MBP. And a good friend of mine has it running on his Retina model. Works fine.

If you need to revisit them...that's why you install FCS3. That's really the only reason I have that on my system, to revisit old projects, and to deal with clients who still use FCP 7.
You really should look at moving on though...not sticking with FCP7. It's 4 years old...two years since it was EOL. Adobe Premiere Pro CC is a very good FCP replacement...although I don't like their "rental" method of paying a subscription to use it. Or you can buy Adobe CS6...but that just lacks enough to make it not quite tempting for me. Premiere CC is spot on...but **** if I don't hate that subscription model. What your doing now is running the bare bones unsecure router which can be used harmfully against you.
Even a Apple Airport router has to be very well secured. The defautl cd and out of the box setup is not a secure solution.

You could sign up for iTunes match and use iCloud photo library with optimisation enabled. The later will keep optimised photos on your device and iTunes match will let you access your whole collection and make room for newer content by removing older unplayed items.

there is no way to do that that I know of. but you can extract an icon of a file to another file using command line tool [osxutils|http://sourceforge.net/projects/osxutils]. you can then call the relevant command from apple script using "do shell script".
