On Demand Films - No trailers anymore

I have noticed recently there is no longer an option to view a trailer for a new film on demand. Is this an error?

can you post some speedtest results, please, as insufficient oomph on broadband is usually the reason for a V04. Make sure there is nothing else using broadband at the time or that will skew the result.
If you have just got connected to broadband you will still be in the training period and it's unlikely that it will be working at optimum, which it doesn't usually reach until after that.

  • I cannot use still images in iMovie Trailers anymore

Hi all, I am hoping someone out there can help me.
    I am using iMovie '11  Version 9.0.9 (1795)
    I have a macbook prousing OS x Version 10.9.2
Processor 2.2 Ghz intel core i7
Last year I created a few "Trailers" using still images. All of a sudden I can no longer do this.  I cannot click on the camera icon as it is 'greyed' out or unclickable.  My photos stored in iPhoto.
I can no longer simply drag and drop my images into the 'Project' anymore.
You know when you go to drag an item on Mac and the little green plus ot appears to say essentially 'you can drag here'... well this appears when I try and drag into the 'Event Library', but then a warning/notification screen appears saying "The Files will not be imported.  Photos cannot be imported to the Event Library. Try dragging directly to your Project" .... Well I would if it let me, but it doesn't.
Is anyone else having this problem or has experienced this and has a solution please.
This has wasted more hours than I care to give it, and is doing my head in.
    Thank you
    Panandine

I am bringing in 72dpi jpegs of some of my design work into iMovie
The dpi setting is of NO importance in iMovie/iDVD - only the actual image pixel size. See Preparing images for DVD slideshows at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/6.0/en/17.html for suggested sizes unless you plan on using a lot of Ken Burns Effect zooming.
When I am in iMovie and I drag a clip(still image) into the time line the image looks dull and blurry
The preview window in iMovie is just that - a preview window - for use in editing. It does NOT show the actual image quality of the clip.
Some of us like Photo to Movie or FotoMagico for turning still images into slideshow movies - both offer free trial modes - you might want to give one of them a try.

  • My TV2 does not have the Films on offer anymore?

    I have an Apple TV2
I am connected via wifi (50mb)
The internet, Computer and Setting menu shows, but the film section is not there anymore
    I have rebooted
    I have resigned in
I have a good connection, and utube etc play well
Where has the film section gone?
    Please can someone help
    With thanks

My ATV2 has also been suffering from this odd problem. This happened to me three times now, and it seems to be getting more frequent. Just today makes twice in one month.
My solution that has worked thus far everytime is to pull the power plug out of the back and wait 20 seconds before re-inserting the power. Then once the unit reboots everything is back to normal. Essentially it's a CMOS Latchup, or capacitive discharge.

  • On Demand - "Q" Resume watching on demand film etc...

Can not find the answer to this question, but if I have been watching a film or series on 'On Demand' is there anyway to easily resume watching it after switching the box to watch TV then turning the box off.  The only way I have found is having to go to on demand content then to whatever Film etc and selecting what ever I had been watching, which is along winded.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Slight aside: Don't press "stop" then "done" just switch to the channel you want, it won't appear on 902 if you press "done".
And, further to the above, press 'STOP', then press 'WATCH LIVE TV'. Watch your live programme, then press 'BACK' on your remote and the box will take you back to the menu for your previously watched On Demand programme/film. And it will start playing from where you previously stopped watching! Cool eh.

  • I can't open Hi-Def Trailers anymore

I I use to be able to watch hi-def trailers in the past but I can't do this now. If I click on the format (480 or 720p) it seems like something is happening in the browser window (the very top toolbar changes color) but nothing ever appears. I can watch all other trailers on the website, just not the HD. I am also able to watch previously saved hd trailers on the quicktime player in "HD".
I have installed and uninstalled many times and even used CCleaner but still nothing.
UGH! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks

I was able to watch one HD movie (not trailer), the NASA Space Shuttle one (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/hd/) but only in 480p. I know I've watched it in 720 in the past.
The strange thing is that whenever I click on one of these trailers it shows in my task manager that QuicktimePlayer.exe is running but I can't see or hear anything.

  • Itunes 7, cant find tv shows or movie trailers anymore

i upgraded to itunes version 7 on the idea that i could finally download tv shows, but i cant find out how to, and i also can no longer view moviw trailers, how can i do this...if i can

I am very frustrated with iTunes 7.0. When click on the Cover Glow Button (the button on the far right of the three to view the album covers in a flowing motion), it says that it cannot view them on "this computer". Also, when I go in to the iTunes store, and click on TV shows or movies, it says they cannot be viewed on "this computer", and then I get a message that "iTunes has encountered a problem. Do you wish us to contact Microsoft." I then click yes, and it takes me out of iTunes and the store completly. I've contacted iTunes, and they are working on this. Has anyone else had this problem? My computer is an up to date, Windows XP Pro system with a Pentium 4.

  • Verizon On Demand Not Showing Advertised Films?

The TMC web site states that "The Skeptic" is available beginning April 5.  It is not listed in On Demand, though it is airing.  Why doesn't Verizon air the On Demand films that the channels themselves advertise as available?  Are they simply incompetent, or is it another bizarre Verizon policy?
And who would would you even call at Verizon to find out?  Not tech support please--their only answer to anything is to reset the STB.

    Hi Suzanne777,
"The Skeptic" became available for VOD today. We wait for the provider of the asset to make it available to us for on Demand. In the future, you can check www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral for VOD as well as the full schedule a movie will be played regularly.

  • Films downloaded won't play.I just get a black screen. My computer crashed last week and I had to do a 'total recovery' - an important link is missing... anyone any idea what it could be? I have updated iTunes and Quick Player

Films that I have downloaded from iTunes won't play. I just get a black screen. My computer crashed last week and I had to do a Total Recovery - Films played perfectly before this. I must have deleted a program or link.............. anyone know what could be missing? I can play YouTube videos etc. but nothing in the iTunes store - films or trailers won't work.

The movie is from iTunes.   You would think that a download from iTunes to a MacBook could be watched on an HDTV using Apple TV without any headaches bit this does not appear to be the case.

  • Why does Itunes no longer plays Trailers or bought/rent Movies ?

    Hi all,
since yesterday, I have the problem that I can't play neither rent movies nor trailers anymore. I get into the player window and I can see all controls, but there is no video or sound playback. With some videos the time counter starts, with some videos it doesn't. I can always open the chapter list and see images of the movie there, but there is no way to see the video itself.
This worked fine until a couple of days ago. The only change I can remember is having updated to iTunes 10.6.1.7. I am not aware of any changes in the meantime.
During the process of debugging this, I have already updated Display Drivers, iTunes, QuickTime, logged out and into the iTunes store and de- and reauthorized my computer. As well as experiemnted with options in the QuickTime player such as Direct3D support. (btw: does anybody know if iTunes is using the QuickTime player at all or is there an internal player that is independent?).
    Any ideas?
    My system:
Windows Vista 64bit, all updates installed
NVidia Graphics Adaptor set to 1920*1080 resolution
    iTunes 10.6.1.7
    Thanks

At least guys, can you answer that one?
-> does anybody know if iTunes is using the QuickTime player at all or is there an internal player that is independent?).
Seems that the "internal" player is totally independent from Quicktime Player installed, cause you can run itunes without have quicktime installed. And changing settings in Quicktimeplayer itself seems not to have effect on itunes player..
is that correct?  Any hints on that ?

  • How can I find out when movies on some On Demand Channels will no longer be available on Demand?

I have been a customer of Verizon's FIOS TV service for 4 months now and I enjoy watching "On-Demand" movies and TV shows.  For some channels, like HBO On Demand and Showtime On Demand, the onscreen guide clearly states how long a program will be available for "on demand" viewing.  For example, the film "A Single Man" will have at the end of the description a notice saying "Ends 3/24" or whenever the date is.
However, there are some "On Demand" channels like Starz on Demand, EPIX on Demand, Encore on Demand, and Independent Film Channel (IFC) on Demand which don't state when the program they are showing on demand will cease being available on demand.
There must be a listing or website or some other method of indicating when programs on these channels will cease being available to watch "on demand".
Please let me know where this information is located and how to access it.
    Thank you.

Thank you for your responses.  I have some follow-up questions and I hope you or someone else reading this can answer them.
Film11:  I have never seen the "inverted triangle" that you mention in your reply.  Where in the onscreen guide do you see this triangle?  Can you please give me an example of a movie currently on demand which is displaying this triangle so I can find it on my own?
Spacedebris:  Is it really true that Starz, Encore, EPIX, and IFC don't know themselves how long a movie will be available on demand?  I can imagine them extending the time a film will be available on demand if it is popular, but surely there must be some minimum time period they put it on demand.
There has to be some way of finding this information and it should be readily available to subsribers who need to prioritize what they watch so as not to miss out on watching an on-demand film they wanted to see because they lacked the information when it would be pulled off-schedule.
Thanks again for any help provided.

  • Cant watch films

Can you please do something so we can watch films we pay money for from the playstation store, at any time. Had enough of psn going down so we cant play games, then thinking "hmm maybe i'll watch a film I paid money for, oh no I can't, because psn is so crap I cant do either." Will not be buying/renting films on playstation anymore unless you sort this crap out.

You need to provide a lot more information here before anyone can help.
    1) Version of the Mac OS
    2) Version of Flash Player (have you checked to be sure it is the most up to date?)
Post back here with that information.

  • Filme werden nicht abgespielt., Filme werden nicht abgespielt.

iTunes doesn't Play any Videos, Films or TV anymore. Just Black Screen.

  • BTVision - Keeps freezing & no sound "On demand" +...

    Hi,
When trying to play on demand, films etc. the picture freezes, no sound. If I FF then it will play normally for a few minutes then the senario starts again. The hub is upstairs plugged directly into a phone socket with a filter as supplied. The main socket is downstairs again with a filter attached. I have tried all the tests - resetting the hub and vision+plus box etc. to no avail. I even bought a new tv with freeview, guess what still the same problems!!!! I have a dvd+vcr recorder attached to the tv but I can't see this making a difference to BTVision?? So far I am unimpressed with this package as I seem to be paying for a service that we can't use!!! Frustrated!!

    Notes:
The Download Speed is the average rate that was achieved during this test.
    Notes:
Your line is configured to the maximum rate that it can support or at your chosen fixed rate, this is known as the line rate and would be viewed through your CPE software or in your router configuration.
Your IP profile is always less than the line rate and is normal on any network.
The Upstream Test rate figure quoted will always be smaller than the assured rate profile. This is because in order for the throughput to reach its destination, it requires an overhead which explains the difference between the two.
    Notes:
If your download speed lies in this range then your connection seems to be working fine.
