On Demand Selection

When I select the On Demand Feature in the Menu screen, my TV screen becomes snowy but I am still able to hear the sound.  While watching TV,  typically during certain comercials, my screen will go snowy at times while I can still hear the sound of the commercial.  After 30-45 seconds, the picture will come back on the TV.  What is causing this and how can I correct so this does not happen.  It is very annoying.

I am stunned! The "Overseas Support" inbetween coughing fits was as much use as a chocolate firegaurd.
    To date I have.
    1) Rebooted the BT Vision box 4 times .
    2) Reset the router twice to default original settings
    3) Substituted the direct connection LAN cable from the Box to he Hub.
    4) Rebooted the PC, Hub and Box again
and *STILL* the same error message on evry selection.
Try a preview of a film, title says £3.99, try preview and V04.

It's no wonder Virgin are collecting ex BT unhappy customers in droves.
Recent exchange "Upgrade" has completely FUBARRED the system. Up to that point at least I could get the documentaries on the animals and such like. Since then NOTHING!
Been with BT for aeons, and now, just when you need to use what you've been paying for since Noah released the animals it don't work !
Time to move to Virgin, and fast !

  • Missing show on HBO's "How to Make it in America" On Demand

So we wanted to watch the show "How to Make it in America" on On Demand, only to find that episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 are available but not episode 7! What kind of logic is that? Is this a problem with Verizon, or with HBO?
I have to say, since switching to Fios, I've been really disappointed in the On Demand selection. Most shows only retain the last few episodes of a season; what if I want to watch the whole season? I have to say, in this area, Comcast is better.

    Hi FranklinGothic
Apparently there was an error in labeling the episodes.   Episode 7 is now showing available. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Concatenate the result of a sub select...

OK, here's my problem. I have 2 tables, one referring to the other. Several rows from table B belong to table's A datas and I'd like to make a select where I can "concatenate" the content of table's B datas in one of my select row.
So for, here's what I've done:

      c.libe "Nom",
      d.ddeb "Date de dépot",
      d.nume "Numéro de demande",
      (select p.libe from demande p where p.code=d.nume and p.natu='T' and tri=1
      ||' '
      ||
      (select p.libe from demande p where p.code=d.nume and p.natu='T' and tri=2
      ||' '
      ||

  • VOD/On Demand (HBO/Cinemax HD) quality

I tried searching to see if others were experiencing this, but I did not appear to see any items at first glance.
We have been noticing a degradation of the quality of the On Demand selections from HBO/Cinemax HD. Primarily the program will begin well, but then at periodic intervals through the movie, pixelation occurs, to the point where we will losse some voice, and then it will return.
If you rewind back behind the point at which the degredation began, it will generally play fine, until the next time it happens - which can be anywhere between 5 minutes to 20 minutes later.
It can get rather frustrating when you are watching a movie and key dialog is missed, and you have to rewind to get back and figure out what they said.
I am also frustrated as to the amount of money I pay for the service, and yet it continues to be an issue.
Anyone else seen this issue, and if there are any suggestions on things that I could do to rectify it?
I am reluctant to call for service, and I believe that it is intermittant, and I can never generaly have it happen when I want to show someone.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    To help answer the questions - see below;
Are you using FIOS for internet? YES
What is your data plan? 5 down / 2 up
Have you tried a speedtest to see if you are getting the correct speeds? Yes - several times. All looks good
When you are watching these movies are you also using the internet? Yes - BUT generally it is just idle time, as the computer will be sitting on a web-site, little other traffic. (e.g. no VoIP or P2P applications running)
It's possible you are running out of bandwidth at these points for some reason.
I thought similarly, but I also thought that the system cached to the STB.The playing does not stop, and the points when it happens only last for up to 20 seconds, you generally only loose 5 seconds (approx) of dialog. Almost like there is some form of interference on the line.

  • On Demand code SRM-0x0011

I finally broke down and rented a movie I have been wanting to see since it's release. I got roughly 10 minutes into it and suddenly the screen went black and stopped playing. I finally got the screen back to the On demand selection screen and tried to restart the movie. After a couple of seconds, the info box comes up and says "We're unable to process your request at this time. Please go to www.comcast.com/help. SRM-0x0011". I checked my coax connections, unplugged my box from my surge protector, waited 20 minutes and replugged it into the wall. All the responses I saw for my particular problem had a tech responding. Help anyone.. I really wanna watch The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey, or at least a refund for it. Thanks.

  • Custom Demand priority sequence

    Hi All:
How do I setup a custom Demand priority sequence in CTM profile, Want to prioritize my demands as follows: Safety stock, Sales order and Forecast (ascending).
    Thanks a bunch.
    Mono

    HI Mono ,
As per my earlier reply go to Trans./SAPAPO/CTMORDSEL for Order Selection ,in this create a new Order Selection by entering Order selection ID and in first Tab page of selection you can select the Master data Selection which can be otherwise selected in the CTM profile in Trans./SAPAPO/CTM under Planning Scope Tab Page  and Master data Selection .
In the same Selection Tab Page of Order Selection and Time related Selection area you can specify the time period and in the second Tab Page of ATP Categories ,in filter for ATP Cat.All ATP Categories in left hand side screen you can set the ATP categories as CB safety stock,BM sales Order and FC as Forecast and save this order selection .
Then enter this order selection in the CTM profile under Planing Scope Tab Page and Demand Selection Area by selection the radio button on Order Selection  and from drop down select the ID that you hhave saved .Thus CTM run takes into consideration the orders selected while planing .
you can define a srort Profile in trans. S_AP9_75000206 (under Demand Prioritization)where the prorities are set as if the certain Locations/Products (LOCNO /MATNR )  are having prority or Material availability date(MBDAT) or the Distribution Channel or Sales Orgnization have more priority ,this profile is then selected in the sort profile in the CTM profile instead of setting proritizing sequence there .
pls go through the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm40/helpdata/en/fb/396fc97d3946bc8dd8236f98919236/frameset.htm">CTM Demand Prioritization</a> which will help to clear basic doubts

  • QIP 2500 STB shuts off when accessing VOD

My QIP 2500 STB shuts down when you try to play any On Demand selection. You hit play and then the unit powers off flashes some codes on the display of the box itself, not the tv screen, and then powers back up. The codes go by so fast I haven't been able to write them down. It was happening the day of the install, but the tech put an amplifier on the line to try and boost signal for two troublesome outlets up stairs and then it was able to play VOD.  Any one with any experiences like this?

Yeah it happens... it is likely a bum box... If you wanna try some stuff on your own
try simply unpluging the power from the box for a minute or so...
If need be, unplug the power to the box, unscrew the COAX from the box to the wall, and check the pin in the middle to make sure it is not bent or broken... Do the same at the wall jack, if applicable... If all is well, plug it all back up, turn it on and test it out
If need be, reset the router with a paperclip or pen in the reset hole on the back of the router for 15 seconds, reboot the STB and try again.

  • PTO MODEL BOM VS PROFILE MSD:CALCULATE PLANNING PERCENTAGE

PTO MODEL BOM VS PROFILE MSD:CALCULATE PLANNING PERCENTAGE
After changing the profile option MSD: Calculate Planning Percentage to Yes,
for all Options and Option Classes, none of the PTO options, PTO option classes,
or ATO options for any model is showing up in the planning percentage
    worksheet.
The only parent child relationships in the worksheet are those
between PTO Models or the plan gives the following message during plan download:
06/20/2007-11:27:56 -> Dependent demand has been disabled for this plan because no values were present in the bill of material.
We looked at Note 340026.1 and the customer created the plan in the DP
RUP9 environment and did like the note asked and am looking at the information in the lowest levels in Time, Ship From, and product which is Day, organization, and item.
But they still only see PTOs structured to other PTOs and not options for items and only see items that are either a PTO parent to another PTO or a PTO that is a child of a PTO.
Is this the way it should work?

    Hi Bob,
I hope you are doing well.
Are they using a global BOM structure or a local org BOM structure? If global they need to select that in defining their demand plan and the also need to set the profile option for MSC: Organization containg Generic BOM
Check the profile option MSD: Calculate Planning Percentages. What specific value did they select? You can select to bring all the Options and Option Classes, which are specified as Optional in the Bills of Material regardless of the forecast control flag (even if the forecast control is ‘None’).
In defining the data stream (for example shipment history) ensure that the "Dependent Demand" checkbox is selected and that you have selected "Calculate and Read".
To calculate dependent demand for any of the data streams:
Choose Demand Planning System Administrator responsibility
Select Setup > Data Stream > Define – Advanced
Select a data stream and click Next button
Check the Dependent Demand check box and select Read or Calculate
To enable the dependent demand calculations (explode the independent model forecast) for a demand plan, ‘Calculate Dependent Demand’ must be checked. If the check box is not checked for a demand plan, bills of materials, planning percentages, or dependent sales history will not be used by the DP Engine for that demand plan.
    Navigation:
Choose Demand Planning System Administrator responsibility
    Select Demand Plans
Select the organization owing the demand plan
    Select the demand plan
Check the check box, Calculate Dependent Demand
Select the bills of material to be used for exploding the forecast
    hope this helps.
    regards,
    Kevin

  • 2nd Level Detail

I created a fully functional Master-Detail report by using the HTMLDB Master-Detail Wizard and converting the Detail Form to a Report Format.
Is it possible to drill down to a second level of detail from the first level of detail?
With no success, I tried manually creating a second level detail report with link from first level detail, but GUI prevents creation of certain objects, like Prev and Next Buttons with No Region (GUI demands selection of region) for pagination.
Any guidance or links to known examples would be appreciated.
    Thanks

There is no wizard to help you out here, so with some experimentation, it is possible to go to a second level of detail. I got best results when the PK of first level detail table was the same name as the FK in the second level of detail table.
Created the report manually, and it is lacking PREV/NEXT controls in the row counter report footer. Still have not yet figured out how to invoke the NEXT/PREV with row counter in the report. Curently the NEXT/PREV are buttons in the region but not with the report counter object.

  • Min-Max Planning simple questions

    Hi
I'm trying to use Min-Max Planning. Inventory User's Guide says that Min-Max Plannig uses a demand to evaluate order quantity, but don't tell if such demand by month, year or whatever. Looking the figures seems to be annual demand (but doesn't match my annual sales). What kind of demand is used?
If demand is calculated on a yearly basis, resulting order qty should be to satisfy sales of a whole year (I guess).
Is there a way to change that? Does really matter?
    Please some words of advise

depending upon at which level (organization or subinventory) you are running Min-Max planning and the options selected for net demand will determine what will be included under open demand. It is the total open demand on or before the demand cutoff date, based on net demand selection for reserved & unreserved orders and WIP. It is NOT by month, year or any period.
    Min-Max at Organization level:
If you choose Yes for Net Unreserved Orders, Net Reserved Orders and Net WIP Demand then Open Demand is the sum of unreserved sales orders, inventory reservations (including reserved sales orders), account issue move orders, and WIP component demand scheduled for issue on or before the demand cutoff date.
    Min-Max at Subinventory level:
If you choose Yes for Net Unreserved Orders and Net Reserved Orders (no WIP demand option here) then Open Demand is the sum of inventory reservations (including reserved sales orders), account issue move orders, and subinventory transfer move orders scheduled for issue from this subinventory on or before the demand cutoff
date. At subinventory level inventory reservations referencing a different subinventory, or with no subinventory specified, are not included.
e.g. if the demand cutoff date is 30-Jun-2009 and net options have been selected as Yes then then it will look for demand upto 30-Jun-2009 (Note: some apps reports have time part issue while comparing dates, so in those cases 30-Jun-2009 is taken as 30-Jun-2009 00:00:00 i.e 29-Jun-2009 midnight!).
Also if you specify a past date for demand cutoff date it will consider open demands available, if any, upto that past date (but you plan for the future, not past).

  • CTM run in APO

    Dear All,
I am learning APO.I can do the
    DP & SNP (Network ,Multilevel)
heuristics Runs on APO 3.1 very well.
I would like to know how to Run CTM ? What is CTM? and most important what are the settings required for CTM run in APO?
Can anybody help & guide me.
I am awaiting for your valuable answer. Many thanks in advance.
    Warm Regards,
    Vishwesh Rajguru

    Waht is CTM
Capable-to-Match (CTM) functions match a large set of
prioritized customer demands and forecasts to a set of
categorized supplies considering the current production
capacities and transportation capabilities in a multistage
production environment, as in the semiconductor
industry. CTM is based on constraint-based propagation
    techniques and goal-oriented programming.
Preprocessing tools provide a set of categorized supplies
and prioritized demands as input to the CTM Engine,
which then performs a fast check of production
    capacities while considering transportation capabilities.
    Prioritize by Demand
CTM prioritizes demands, such as customer orders
or forecasts from SAP APO Demand Planning, based
on such characteristics as customer priority, location,
    and product priority.
    Supply Categorization
CTM performs supply categorization based on the
available supply and user-defined inventory limits, such
as amount of inventory or planned deliveries.
    CTM Engine
The CTM engine delivers the functions you need to
control supply and demand. The CTM engine process
can be divided into two steps. In the first step, the
CTM engine builds the CTM application model using
the specified supply network model. In a second phase,
the CTM engine matches demand to supply considering
    production capacities and transportation capabilities
and using constraint-based propagation. CTM searches
    before production and after production.
In before production searches (or most to least), the
system first searches through all supply categories for
finished or semifinished products before it resorts to
ordering production for that item. The search is
conducted top down. The system first searches the
production process model for finished products, then
    intermediate products, then raw materials.
In after production searches (or least to most), the
system searches for categories after an attempt is made
    to produce the item.
    Time-Dependent Production Processes
You can define different production processes,
including product flow, for different time intervals. The
CTM engine chooses only production processes that
are valid at the representative time.
    Model Alternative Components
You can implicitly model alternative components by
annotating a list of alternatives within the bill of
material, or you can model alternative components
explicitly by defining a set of product substitutions for
    a given product.
    Identification of Raw Material
A special product category identifies material that is
available in an infinite quantity. But for the consumption
of this product, a purchase requisition must be
    created.
    Process Flows Based on Demand
You must select a specific process flow based on the
set of characteristics of a given demand. For a planning
process that covers several physical plants, you must
be able to restrict the production and distribution
network to a set of allowed plants. In addition, the
CTM engine can handle the plant substitution rules of
    SAP APO’s Global ATP component.
    Product Substitution Rules
CTM considers a set of demand characteristics for each
product and a prioritized list of substitute products
    using Global ATP rules.
    Customization/Settings
    Global customizing settings
The package size is the key parameter that can improve the performance if you are using the asynchronous liveCache (LC) update.
In asynchronous update the system creates the orders in the LC after planning the specified number of demands. At the same time, the system continues with the CTM planning for the other demands.
The performance depends on the amount of planned orders that are created per demand.
If you set up a package size of 1000 demands, this means that each 1000 demands CTM writes the results to the LC. If there are only 1000 planned orders created for fulfilling these 1000 demands then the package size is too small for an asynchronous run with a good performance because the CTM run needs to stop each 1000 planned orders for triggering the LC writing. This increases then the run time. In case there are 100.000 planned orders created then the package size is too big because the CTM run for creating these 100.000 planned orders needs probably longer than the parallel writing of the results to the LC.
So the optimal package size makes the planning and writing to LC almost parallel.
Apart from the package size of the asynchronous LC writing, there are three more areas where packages must be defined.
    - Package Size for Creating Orders. The value indicates how many orders can be created in the LC at one time.
    - Package Size for Creating Pegging Relationships. The value indicates how many pegging relationships can be created in the LC at one time.
    - Package Size for Order Selection. The value indicates for how many location products a LC request can be started at one time (package size for reading orders from LC in a way that CTM can use them for planning).
It is difficult to give recommendations regarding these package sizes because one needs to play around in a specific situation to improve the performance. So consider the following values as an orientation.
Regarding the package size of the Order Creation a value smaller than 1000 can be recommended (default value is 500 orders), but also a value up to 5000 can be efficient. In case of performance issues it is recommended to run CTM with different package sizes : 500, 1000, 2500, 5000 and see whether one of these settings can improve the performance.
Regarding the package size for Creating Pegging Relationships a value bigger than 1000 is recommended. The default value is 5000 pegging relationships.
The setting for the Order Selection is based on location-products, which implies that if the setting is currently 5000, CTM reads the orders for the first 5000 location-products and sends them in one package from the LC. If the average amount of orders per location-products combination is 10 (each location-product has in average 10 orders) the result is 50.000 orders transferred in the package.
As this setting depends on the amount of orders existing per location-product, one needs to play again with different settings in case of performance issues. Generally it is recommended to have a value smaller than 10.000.
    3) Planning profile (business improvements)
Apart from the customizing settings, the performance depends on many other criteria like the Master Data Selection, Order Selection, Selected Demands, Planning Period, Product-Location restrictions.
If you want to improve the performance you should create a master data selection which contains only the objects in the model which are actively planned by the CTM run.
You can check whether it is possible to divide your supply chain in separate independent model parts. This covers a big performance improvement potential because the independent parts of the chain can be planned in parallel.
Then the order selection, especially the size and data requirements, is one of the major areas where you can improve the performance.
During the deletion of orders in a CTM planning run, several checks that are not always required are run. The parameter 'FAST_DEL' skips some checks of the normal planning run to improve the planning run time. The parameter is activated if you set Value1 of the planning parameter to X. In this case, no information is analysed on pegging, input or output nodes during order selection. Therefore, the parameter can only be reasonably used with the planning mode "Regenerative planning" (Replan all Orders) and the deletion mode "All unfirmed orders" (Delete all Orders that are not firmed). Note that in this case, only the status and the type of the order are analyzed for the deletion decision. This means that all planned orders or purchase requisitions are deleted, if they were not firmed manually (Output fix) and contain at least one location product that is contained in the CTM master data selection. This parameter must not be used if you use a subcontracting scenario. In this case, inconsistencies can occur between the data in APO and the R/3 System because subcontracting purchase requisitions are deleted but not the subcontractor planned order at the subcontractor side.
Notice that since release SCM 4.0 the parameter 'FAST_DEL' is obsolete and has been replaced with the planning step (Technical Settings tab) End Planning Run after Oder Selection in combination with Do Not Check Order Details.
CTM run time depends on the number of demands. Consequently if your business need for CTM does not require all demands simultaneously, you can perform CTM runs using a demand selection. You can cut down on run time if you can first reduce the amount of demands considered in the planning run.
Another factor to take into account is the planning period set for the CTM profile. You can implement a horizon in the work area which includes only those demands that can be planned during the horizon of the CTM run. That is, exclude any periods containing demands which cannot be planned.
Consider also whether you can meet your business requirements by restricting your demands by product-location. You can experience long run times because in a large supply chain you do not restrict the demands by product-location combination.

  • Component Event

    Flex Flash Builder 4 - SDK 4.0 - Windows
Short Version Question:  What is the "state" of a child within a ViewStack after it has been created but while it is not currently the selectedChild? Is there an event dispatched when that child becomes the selectedChild other than the change event on the ViewStack itself.  One would think the show() event would do this,  but apparently if a component is not the selected, that does not mean it is hidden (not visible).
The problem here is that I want to call a function within the child components of the viewstack every time they are selected.  The first time the child is selected, I can use the creationComplete event.  But every time after that, I can't find an event that dispatches "Hey, I am now the selectedChild!".  If I use the change event on the ViewStack, that will work everytime after the first time, but causes an error the first time because the child has not completed creating yet when the function is called.
I have gotten around this before by creating a boolean variable for each child set to true after creation, then checking that var before sending the function call, but that seems really convoluted, and there just must be an easier way that I am missing.
    Thanks
    James S.

Set the ViewStack.creationPolicy = "all". This will force creation all of the members of the stack rather than creating them on-demand (selection). Then listen for the ViewStack.change event.

  • CTM and scheduling agreements

    Hi
Is it true that CTM does not consider scheduling agreements while planning ? If yes then isnt this a very big limitation on the planning method ? Where can CTM be used then ? I know it helps u proiritize demand than supply and allows fixed pegging. But I am trying to find out where can it be used if it does not consider scheduling agreements ?

    Dear DS,
Please include the ATP category of the Scheduling agreement  in the CTM profile in the planning scope tab /Demand selection /Supply selection in Order Selection.
and also in supplies tab in categorization profile depending upon the requirement .

    Hi Rajesh,
    Please check the following points:-
    1. In the transaction /SAPAPO/CTMORDSEL - Order Selection, select No restrictions under time related selection.
