On demand streaming help

Can anyone help me?
Fogive me for sounding dumb, but i need help! I am trying to
provide On-Demand streaming of games for our recreation program. I
having a problem streaming those large files using windows media 9,
and i am currently experiencing buffering delays. I was told that
by changing my files into flash files they will load immediately.
Is that so?

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems) bt speedtester and post the results .
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

Thank you. I think with Spotify, for $25 per year, one can select and listen to any one particular song at any time. That's what I meant by on-demand streaming. Does iTunes have anything like that?

BT on demand streaming prob.

Having probs with BTvision on demand. The picture and sound freezes repeatedly unless i pause for a few mins and then start. Again 5mins later it will repeat process.
This has been happening the last week and i have tried phoning helpdesk but **bleep**, they don`t even know what streaming is.
It`s the streaming process thats the problem for sure but at a loss what else i can do. Adaptors have never worked on my BTVision so i had to use a special 20ft Ethernet cable from the black BT router to the black BTvision box.I have a HDMI lead from box to my Panasonic 1080p Vierra Television.
Have also a dedicated ADSL2 connection and live 300m away from the BT exchange and as my stats show have no probs with the line. Phone works perfectly.
So would appreciate some help as normally i can sort things out myself but not this time.Has been running ok for a year now.
Yea, one more thing. I`ve been reading the forums of late and ppl have been complaining about a bad picture with on demand. Well, iv`e had that since i got the box and thought it was normal after been told hundreds of times by so called techies that my picture is ok. I had Sky for 3yrs and HD for 2yrs and i can tell you now BT on demand has a lot worse picture than Freeview that is on the wifes television.
I`ve posted my setup and i`ve set 1080p in my settings and i know Btvision has`nt HD yet but i would have expected a decent picture. But hey, 5mnths and i can go back to Sky and pay them £65 a month because BT don`t seem to want my money.

Live AAC Streaming - Help!

I would like to stream live AAC to the Internet via Flash. I
have been told the new version of FMS (FMS3) will support it. But,
I have yet to find a live encoder! Flash Media Encoder 2 only
supports MP3 and NellyMoser audio.
I will have linear PCM audio coming in via an audio card and
I want an encoder that will encode it live into AAC and get it to a
FMS server.
I have yet to find anything. Help!

thanks... you mean that there will be another version of
Flash Media Encoder? (I am guessing V3). There is very little
information out there about any beta or any new version... very
frustrating.
Or did you mean other 3rd party encoders that will also be
coming out?

I do not understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, help me?

I do not understand iPhoto to say the least. I've imported my photos which I have stored on an external networked hard drive. However after they've been uploaded to the iPhoto library, I've got NUMEROUS duplicates which seem to be showing as different events even though they are the same photo.
Another thing is that in Photo Stream which I have turned on my iPhone 4, I seem to have photos showing up in there that have nothing to do with a photo I've taken on my iPhone or manually dragged them to Photo Stream. They are mostly some old photos that I've NEVER had on my iPhone at all. How did they get there. My photos that I've taken with the phone or saved on my Iphone are there just like I was expecting but most of these photos, and this is while I'm on my iMac, are just a bunch of random photos. I don't even know how to delete these photos in Photo Stream to try and start over.
Could someone help me understand iPhoto and/or Photo Stream, these are two different questions please!

Is there a specific file that iPhoto makes and stores on my computer or the external drive that has the iPhoto library? I want to delete all instances of it and try reloading my library.
Also, how do I reload or start fresh a Photo Stream library on my computer? What's weird is that the photos on my iMac are not what's on my iPhone. I mean I have the ones that are on my iPHone are within the iPhoto's Photo Stream but then there is also a bunch of other photos that I have no idea how they got there.

AIR IOS VOD streaming help

Hey Guys
Our company has been using flex for ages developing web apps for internal and external use. with one of our apps (which we delivery video over RTMP ) we are looking to move it to the IOS AIR platform as some of our clients are now on IPADS.
So my problem...
The other day i fired up FB4.6 started building my first IOS app, got it all signed and transfered which worked great! next step to play a basic video and seek to a point in it....AH! after hours of banging my head against the desk i found RTMP isn't supported on IOS and that i need to use HTTP. so as im not a video streaming expert ive hit my first stumbling block and started to read up on HDS, HLS and different way to get the content streaming.
to be honest im totally lost at this point ive been reading different articles about converting videos, and hosting etc. if some one could help me to the best approach to start with, that would be great. also i would be happy to speak to someone for some consultation (paid obviously) if any experts are interested
as we stand at the moment our requirement is to play a video of "X" length on the IOS platform using adobe air, with the ability to seek to ANY point on the video(progressive is a big no no).

Network Crash , Apple TV , Streaming ; Help Please

While sending music to the Apple TV-- via Pandora for instance --after a few minutes the whole network goes down.
Specifically, every device gets booted off of the network like the leases all expired.
The router does not reboot and is almost instantly available to reconnect afterward.
This is a new occurrence that hasn't happened before getting the Apple TV and only happens when using the Apple TV.
What can I do to stop having Tony be unhappy?-- Because he really likes his Apple TV.
As you can see below, I am a linux/unix person and I love the unbounded freedom I get in that arena of devices. Apple devices are not for me, I would jailbreak an iPhone before I did anything else with it.
But, a lot of people love their Apple devices including my wife.
Please help me go from "Tony really likes his Apple TV" to "Tony doesn't know how he lived without his Apple TV"...

The android, linux, and not for me is not an elitist eww yuck... it is an appeal to the Apple people that I have no idea what I am doing with Apple products. Just to clarify.
Pandora streamed until Pandora cut off the stream from being connected too long without interaction-- not a network SNAFU disconnection.
Our next idea to try is to connect the Apple TV (which is a Apple TV 3, I have come to learn) via ethernet and not wi-fi.

Photo stream help!!

Alright so I recently set up Photo stream on my MBP and photo stream is only showing 11 photos out of the 987 photos that are under the Photo stream tab in my iPhone.... Any help guys ??

Your photostream will only show what is currently stored in iCloud, when you activate the photo stream on a device. It will download what it finds in iCloud.
This way the photo stream can look differently on all devices.

HT4906 Photo Stream Help?

I have Mac OSX 10.7.5 and IPhoto 9.4.3, but when I try to turn on "My Photo Stream", it is not showing in the source list.
How can I get it to show up. Have also tried to accept a Photo Stream invite, but cannot get this loaded.

Log out of iCLoud and turn off Photo stream on all devices - reboot and turn them all on and see if it will start

On-demand streaming doesn't work

I want to config the on-demand Adobe MEdia Server on Amazon.

Live Stream Help!!!

Hi,
I have been doing a lot of Flash with progressive download
and also streaming Flash but I have been asked to create a piece
that uses live streaming Flash. I tried using the Flash Import
wizard with the RTMP link that I was given but alas, it failed to
work. I don't understand the live streaming video...
I am having troubles finding a tutorial on this. I looked at
the Flash tutorials and only found the basics of using the Flash
wizard.

Okay, I guess I was panicking and feeling the stress of a
tight deadline. I actually was doing fine but there was a problem
with my live streaming video link!
However, the skin that I am using from the Adobe provided
skins (which are really great!) has a full screen button and that
button is not working.
Any suggestions?

window.
also, I would like them to start playing after the buffer is
full but
still being downed to the client.

H.264 Video Streaming Help

Need help integrading H.264 Video Streaming in Flex. I started looking at this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3796848#3796848.
It is now out of date and flash player 11 is released (no longer from incubator site). How is the set up different now? Since my project is built on the older SDK, is there any way to do this on Flex SDK 3.5?
I have already dewnloaded and installed flash player 11 and am using the following code:

            import flash.media.VideoStreamSettings;
            import flash.media.H264Level;
            import flash.media.VideoCodec;
            import flash.media.H264Profile;
            nsPublish = new NetStream(nc_publish);

Make sure you have the new playerglobal.swc also drop this additional compiler arg: -swf-version=13. Need also to target flash player 11.
I did it with 4.5 works like a charm. If this does not make it work you may need to upgrade. If you encounter errors can you post them ?
