On Demand update

My ondemand updated today and it looks great but you have removed the option to delete rentals. Is there another way to delete rentals? If not, please return the delete option.

Same problem in MD...rather annoying. Need to spank the genius and his/her management team that overlooked such key features. Again, why change something that wasn't broken? Do you need a dollar for GUI Clue Bus?
When is the fix coming?

Why hasn't on demand updated NBC HD -specifically Chicago Fire for 3 weeks? Switched from direct tv over a year ago- have saved some money but do NOT love uverse. Seems like a poor imitation of direct tv- miss so many features.

I Call It Like I See It, Simply a U-verse user, nothing moreIn my case, I can only record/watch three HD shows at a time so on certain nights I have to use VOD to get in that last show in my household. I also have found inconsistencies when shows are updated, but I think it may have to do with the networks as well as the studio that owns the show. Push comes to shove, I hookup my laptop to my TV and watch online that way which isn't ideal but it is what it is. If there was anyway that AT&T could list when networks/shows are available on VOD that would be appreciated, but I imagine it just varies too much by show for this to be feasible.

BBC America On Demand Update

For the past two weeks, BBC America On Demand hasn't been updated.
According to the BBC America On Demand Web Site it has been kept up to date and shows more recent programming than FIOS' BBC America On Demand.
Why is this so???

Regarding BBC OnDemand...I was wondering, since the addition of BBC-HD is not possible at the moment, is there a way that FIOS might be able to add BBC OnDemand in HD? (Something similar to what is currently being done with FEARNet...we have the standard channel, but there is also an HD OnDemand option.) It would certainly be nice to have something to tide viewers over until the day that the HD channel can actually be provided.'

Migration assistant demanding update

I'm trying to migrate files from a iBook G4 running 10.4.11 to a new Macbook Pro. I have them connected by network/ethernet cable and the new computer is demanding that I update the old computer, but the old computer does not see the need for an update. Meanwhile, they will not talk.
I can pair them on blue-tooth, but can't make migration assistant work.
Please help.

Thanks, but thats not what I mean. I must have hundreds of changed files on computer, and I want to sync those 2 computers, just like Time Machine only adds changed or new files to backup.

My Microsoft WSUS Update Services Issues/Event Viewer Service Issues

So yesterday I began investigating why my PC's that were pointed to the WSUS weren't recieveing patches for their particular group. I checked to make sure it was approved and the client was in my client group. When I went to continue my troubleshooting today
Update Services within the WSUS role gives me an Error: Connection Error. My Clients when I force them to check for updates also fail. I went to review my Event Viewer logs and it tells me to start the Event Viewer services. When I try to start the
services it tells me Error 5 Access Is Denied. I've verfied that the policies allow my domain admin account access to the modify services and I've also rebooted it, still no joy.
Any help anyone can offer with these series of issues would be greatly appreciated!

It seems these are two different problems, with Event viewer and with WSUS.
1. Did this system worked recently (correctly) or it is new one?
2. Make sure that you are logged as domain administrator (or better as buil-in AD administrator with highest priviledges.)
3. Generally services can depend on another processes (services). If these processes do no run, then you would not start process that is depending on these services.
4. WSUS: Clients could not receive (on demand) updates, when there was no initial synchronization.
5. WSUS: Make sure that GPO and computer group are set correctly
6. WSUS: Detect and reconnect clients with wuauclt
7. WSUS: Share your configuration here as well as reports.

How do I clean up iTunes Mobile Applications folder that has old versions of apps?

I am using the latest iTunes 11.0.3 on my recently new iMac. Previously I had iTunes on my MacPro. The media folder was located on one of the extra (non-boot) volumes on the MacPro (MP). When I got my iMac I changed (in the Advanced section of Preferences) the location of the media folder to point to the same folder on the MP volume as I had been using. Everything seems to work fine. I can plug in my iPhone 4s and sync which goes thru a backup step.
I was then poking around in the iTunes media folder on the MP and found that the Mobile Applications (MA) folder was full of older versions of the apps on my iPhone. They dated back to 2009, 2010 and most were 2011. A few were 2012 or 2013. I would like to get rid of the old versions as they take up space. Being that old I doubt they are useful for anything anyway. But my question is how?
I have read and searched for other threads on this topic and have not found a solution. It appears that iTunes is supposed to toss old versions into the trash. I suspect it is doing that now but for some reason has lost track of these older version. The problem here is I don't know what happened.
My inclination is to take all these app .ipa files and dump them... then do an iPhone sync and have it repopulate this MA folder. But I wasn't sure iTunes would do that. So I selected one app that is currently installed on my iPhone, found several older .ipa files in the MA folder that correspond to that app and deleted all of them. I then sync'd my iPhone and watched it go thru the Backup step. When it was done I checked my MA folder but it still had NO .ipa file for that app. Why is that? To make sure the backup step didn't place it someone unexpected, I did a system wide search for that app name (the core part of the name, not including any version numbers, etc) but it found only one match. It was old (2011) located on an all-together different MA folder so did not come from this iPhone sync.
I wish someone would clearly document what goes on during an iPhone sync when the backup location is iTunes (not iCloud). Does iTunes store the current version of each app in the MA folder? I didn't see that happen in my example above.
What does it mean to remove all .ipa files from your MA folder? It would seem that it doesn't matter EXCEPT for apps no longer available in the App Store. Otherwise I could re-install them, right?
What can I delete safely without ill consequences?
How can i indentify what to remove if I should keep the latest version around?
Help would be appreciated.
To be clear:
* I use iTunes to store my Backups, not iCloud.
* I have used Consolidate after making sure that Keep iTunes Media Folder Organizaed is checked and Copy File to iTunes Media folder is checked. It did not help here.
* Given the dates of the .ipa files in my MA folder, this problem pre-dated my recent addition of my iMac.
* I believe I'm using a new local (to my iMac) iTunes library file but my media folder is on the MP as described above. When I access iTunes app on my MP it too accesses the same media folder. It is used primarily for adding music and movies to, not iPhone apps as I now sync on the iMac.

ITunes has been a disaster for me. It is filled with all sorts of things and there is no way to reorganize any of it. I'm forced to use iTunes because I have an iPhone but the experience has convinced me that it is best to avoid Apple products and I would recommend that course for others.
The operative word here is "avoid." For products like the iPhone and iPad for which Apple has a superior product there is no choice. The problem is Apple control. That means that everything is compatible with everything else which is good. It also means that everything is limited to products that serve Apple's bottom line, which is questionable.
Hopefully, now that Apple's creative genius has sadly left us, other companies will step forward to create products that will allow us to avoid the complications of Apple. I have found iTunes to be the principal complication. iTunes regularly updates itself, practically every Sunday, and then I have to restart my computer which interrupts all the tasks that I have underway.
Despite all these updates I don't use iTunes except for the iPhone and even that is problematic. The entire experience makes me glad that I don't have an Apple since it must be very difficult for Apple users to work with Apple constantly demanding updates and restarts and proprietary software and the like.
If you're not an Apple customer, but you've been listening their hype with their execs pacing a stage clad in jeans, then read this and heed. My experience with iTunes is a warning for all. Watch out. Apple is not your friend. It's a corporation bent on control, monopoly power and coerced profiteering. We may all soon need nets to save us when Apple drives us out the window.

WARNING - Oracle intends to desupport Forms client server mode

When Forms 6i becomes desupported you will have to move to Forms 9i. Forms 9i runtime can only be run in web mode from a web browser. You will not be able to run client-server forms in native operating systems such as Windows or Unix. The forms will essentially run on the application server with Java applets to being sent to your web browser. Links to third party products will no longer work with host commands executing on your local machine. You will have to include Java code to make local commands work.
The transition from Forms 6i client-server to Forms 9i web mode will be one of the most painful upgrades Oracle has ever inflicted on its customers.
Essentially, Oracle is trying to palm us off with running forms from web browsers whether we or our customers like it or not. Java seems to be creeping in. I suspect Developer will eventually turn into JDeveloper, as they will not want to support two products. Easy one line statements and built-ins will be replaced by hundreds of lines of Java nonsense. Developer will move from a 4GL RAD environment to a cumbersome bloated 3GL Java environment.
You can stop this happening if you want to keep you customers happy by:
1. Sending Oracle enhancement requests to allow Forms 9i to run in native client-server mode.
2. Complaining to your Oracle sales contact.
3. Asking difficult questions at Oracle user groups.

I've been wondering why exactly a Forms9i app. needs to run in a web page? Why could the applet not be deployed in a more "standalone" fashion, i.e., an independent application window. This would at least offer the appearance of a native application, complete with the new Java look-and-feel.
If Oracle really wanted make their customers happy, they would then take the next step and come up with a way to embed OC4J into a client-side deployment executable, which would then effectively allow for a 2-tier client-server architecture.
It seems to me that 2-tier/3-tier each have their place in the world, depending on the situation. In the extreme "2-tier" example would be an application that is to be deployed on a single client workstation. It would be hard to argue that a separate application server ought to be used. On the other extreme, anybody who has tried to manage the deployment--and upgrade--of a large number of Forms clients is very attracted to the prospect of only having to maintain and upgrade a few application servers.
I agree with the direction of the product as far as replacing Toolkit2 and the native runtime with the JRE. The advantage of on-demand updating of application code is compelling. The capability of moving application logic to the middle tier is extremely useful. Platform independence is now done using the "universal" JRE instead of TK2.
If the product could maintain the client-side processing capability--without resorting to Javabeans--it would be just that much stronger. As an application architect, I want to be able to design the application to allocate the work where it makes the most sense, either on the client, the application server, or the database server.
How hard would it be to put this client-side processing capability back into the product?

There appears a Source sync every time i startup the jnlp app from shortcut.
The users of JNLP application may enable the Internet mid of the application session and fail to get the updates.
If this case repeats for a period of time, there is a good chance of the app user being denied the code update.

Solution 1: you tell the user you found updates and ask him to restart (or automatically restart after he pressed ok, with exec or showDocument).*
Solution 2: you download the resource (so that you'll have it even if user doesn't restart the app).You'd better do this in a separate Thread or have an interactive DowloadServiceListener cause service waits for download to end.*
I ll try the timer execution. Have to see weather web start puts up a downloading progress window on top of the application. I belive the DownloadService listener will be silent. I ll implement it and get back to you.

I think your scenario is very difficult to happen, but I guess you must have your good reasons to ask.*
This scenario happens to my users as they switch on the client when the start their machine and runs for the whole morning. They switch on the internet for other purposes and shuts it down in an hour. Minimal chance of connecting the internet before the startup.
I get update towards the server through a similar timer based mechanism. I ll implement the code updates in the same mechanism.

   J'ai desinstallé CS4 et réinstallé le tout, fait l'update à partir de photoshop j'ai obtenu bridge 5,6 dans les plugin de photoshop et fonctionne mais reconnait il les différents canon que j'ai ? sur ses fenêtres les noms apparaissent bien
   Bridge reconnait en vignettes photos les raw de mon 40D mais point de mon 5dMII et, et lui semble toujours en version 5,5 en cliquant c'est toshop qui s'ouvre avec camera Raw en version 5,6 bien la bonne
J'ai fait un update classique par mise à jour dois je refaire un telechargement et une installe manuelle
   Bizarre il y a un léger mieux ..... qui connait ces problemes en vista 64 bits est ce que le 5D MII et le G11 sont supportés.... leurs format raw apparaissent qu'en vignettes

Une Solution à qui aurait le même probleme ouf!.... j'ai enfin reussis à installer ce bridge et ce fameux camera raw pas de la façon préconisée mais d'une façon peu orthodoxe en bidouillant dans Bridge qui ne voulait pas accepter d'update considerant que tout était à jour alors j'ai rusé en allant dans les préférences de tout ce qui était chargé j'ai tout décoché j'ai recoché tout, apparemment je n'ai rien changé
j'ai relancé l'update... cette fois-ci il à accepté de charger tout les modules et   voila comme quoi tout les chemins mènent à Rome

Demand is not getting updated in MD04

Hi Team,
we are facing strange issue for an particular plant.
Issue :-In MD04 forecast is not getting reduced after doing PGI.
For this MTO scenario when we are creating outbound delivery requirement of quantity is getting generated in MD04 but after doing PGI it is not reducing the forecast however overall stock availability is reduced .
Reduction of forecast is necessary otherwise in next MRP run, additional demand would be place on the supplying plant.
Any pointers what could be the reason of forecasting not getting updated.

App store demands credit card information now, so i can't get updates anymore, why is that?

I bought an iPad from Apple using my credit card, the App Store on my phone seems to have noticed the purchase and is demanding I give it my credit card info too so I can continue making easy purchases there too, problem is that I don't want to make purchases from App Store yet, but now I can't get updates for the apps that I am using. How can I get updates without giving up my credit card?

I was asking why you changed your Apple ID to see if you really needed to, it sounds as though you may not have needed to.
You can change your personal email you use with your Apple ID, but you can't change your iCloud address. If you do this you can continue to use your old Apple ID and without causing problems with purchased content.

Updating data in APO demand planning key figure

We have a key figure in Demand planning which is not present in Info cube, This key figure is just avaialable in SAPAPO SDP94for manullay key in some data, Now I want to update data in this key figure via extrnal file i.e text file.
Could u suggest some ways for this, Remember this key figure is not present in Info cube, Hence we can not feed in External file to Info cube, We some other way for updating data in this key figure,

If your client is not Ok with standard way of flat file upload, Also If you will get a file from external customer on weekly basis then definitely they will put it somewhere either on local server or application server.
I would suggest, Define the format for the flat file,Ask User to put that file on application server, Write a simple program to get data from that file on application server, Update the KeyFigure using standard BAPIs available,After updation delete that file from server.Schedule this program in background on weekly basis so that every time it will check for new file on server path and update the Keyfigure accordingly.
I know this is a custom development but this will work.
